Blake and I had our meeting about Matt yesterday. He has been diagnosed with ADHD. Now I am waiting for the paperwork so I can schedule an IEP at school to get him the accomodations he needs. Does anyone have any insight into this? He will need to meet with a counselor before they will prescribe any meds. I am willing to try anything. He got his progress report yesterday. I knew what it was going to look like but still...1-C, 2-D's and 3- E's
And it doesn't help when Nick's was 2-B's, 2- A's and 2 A+'s.
It just makes him feel worse. When we were scheduling the counseling session we almost made it for Wed. but switched it to Thursday. Wed is Matt's 15th birthday we didn't think that was the way he would want to spend it.
We spent yesterday with my family. We had fun, didn't we Lesa? At one point we were all laughing about something my dad and mom did and I looked at them and said 'wait til I post this!"
I was sitting next to mom on the love seat watching the Tigers game when she spilled her pop all over both of us. I screamed and tried to roll away but Mom can't move very fast so she just sat there and took it all. Her jeans were soaked. So we decided to put them in the dryer. We get her a blanket and Dad comes over to help her out of her shoes. [because of health issues her left foot has been fused so it doesn't bend and she sometimes needs help] So he is kneeling at her feet to get the shoes off, she stands up to pull the pants down but Dad was too quick for her! He just grabs her pants and whoosh!!! yanks them off!!
She's standing there hollering what if my underwear had come off!! We were crying we were laughing so hard.
The good thing yesterday is that we watched the Tigers game. My parents are serious fans. Me, I haven't followed them very much ever since they traded Lance Parish in the late 80's
You will all remember we went to a game this summer with Blake's company and I brought a book!! But it was a great game and the end was fabulous!! Watching the players come out of the locker room to celebrate with the fans. Too great!!
We took this at Comerica this summer. So I got a little Disney fix along with the Tigers!
I have to get ready I am going over to Mom's to say goodbye to Lesa, David and the girls. Then we have to go to Blake's sister's this afternoon. This will NOT be fun.
The doctor we have been meeting with for Matt keeps asking if there is a history of mental illness in the family. I think about Blake's family and answer...none they will admit to!!
J/K actually looking back at my school years I think he gets it from ME!!

So today we are going to watch the bride open her presents and visit with my aunt and her 2 little dolls. 
Then it's back to lovely IL on Monday. The girls are not looking forward to leaving here and neither am I!

Oh, and he admitted that the stopping by my desk thing was his "plan" to get me to ask him out - he was too afraid I'd say no to ask. Guess I've still "got it"!!
