would you recommend it...any suggestions? I still send it in the old fashioned way. I am leary cause once when I did my bank routing number on my return they couldnt use it for some reason, even though its what the bank told me, and it delayed my return. Really want to get my return back asap this year, though, thanks!

I have e-filed for at least 10 years and have never had a problem. It is the easiest way to file I think, and the fastest way to get your refund. Just double check that all of your banking information is correct. Read the numbers backwards from your computer to your check to make sure they are right.

I e file every year for the last 3 years, love it.

As far as routing number, it is the 8 or9 digit number before your chekcing acct number on your checks. Do you have a small independent bank? I have a CU and never had a problem.

Easiest, quickest way to file. I love e-file

What does it cost to efile? Is there a link from the IRS website?

There's definitely links on the IRS website. And cost varies. If your income is below a certain amount, efile is free! And if not, there are several online companies and software you can buy to walk you thru the steps and efile. And discounts through banks, credit cards and credit unions, too.

I love efile!

E-filer here ... easy!! I used Tax Act. Free.

Good luck!

I use Turbo Tax and the e-file is free otherwise it is minimal-$15 or so.

We don't e-file, because we don't want to pay for it. Otherwise, we'd have no reservations in doing so. I think that we did e-file one year when we were able to get one of the tax software packages almost free with rebate.

Not us. The CPA files the returns electronically, but we wait and get a real check if we get a refund. I'm not providing the IRS with access to my checking acccount...once you give them that number and they deposit into your account, they can take it back out if they want, and I don't want them to have that ability and access (my husbands employer once reversed his pay accidentally and caused us a bunch of headaces...and I'm not taking that chance with the IRS)

I e-file when I'm getting money back. When I owe, I wait until April 15 and drop it off in snail mail.

TaxAct is free regardless of income.

If your income is below a certain level, you can e-file for free using the Tax Freedom Project. Also, if you live in certain states, your state e-file is also free.

I've e-filed the past 4-5 years and get my money quick. Usually I've used the Tax Freedom Project but last year had an issue with claiming my nephew so used Jackson Hewitt and also again this year because my sister thought I should be getting more back because someone else did.... :headache: Otherwise I'd use the free service. It does all the calculations for you based on what you input. EASY.

We have complicated taxes, so we have an accountant do them, and he e-files. We haven't had a problem so far, and he's been filing this way for a few years now.

I've always e-filed with no issues. I'm crossing fingers since my direct deposit is a little different this year because my "bank account" is one that issues my school debit card for my student loans to be deposited on.
