Wondering how much time they take to complete, how hard they are for kids, how much fun they are? I think my kids (7 &10) will enjoy them, but, they won't want to feel like they are doing school work or something while in the parks. I can't find details about these adventures. Any help please?

They are insanely fun. To us it made the difference between Epcot being a boring park for kids to walk around and Epcot being awesome Agent P adventures. What it does is it puts your kids on quests... they activate some REALLY COOL stuff in the parks... Like they'll make clocks cuckoo, trains go, doors secretly open, and so on. Even aliens pop up out of store racks... everyone else looks on amazed and your kids are like "I just did that!!" You get a cell phone, and you follow along w Agent P as he defeats Dr Doofenschmirtz (over and over again). There are many "things" to discover in each land too so every time it's different. It gets your kids into being in these other places and actually looking on eagerly at some of the details which otherwise kids couldn't care less about.

I'd say ideal for ages 5-10. If they watch Phineas and Ferb then they'll have the connection there and love it. If not, it won't be as cool cuz you won't get a lot of the jokes.

Haven't done the MK one. We may try that - but our MK time is so full already I'm not sure we'll be able to do it.

Each quest takes about a half-hour. You start them at your leisure, and you can pause them at your leisure too. You can do as many or as few as you like.

MK- The interactive Pirates game in Adventureland is pretty fun and much shorter than the ones we've done at Epcot. It probably took 20 minutes, or less.

Epcot - Agent P is enjoyable, but much lengthier than the original Kim Possible. One per day at Epcot is enough for us, usually because it's quite hot when we are there. We really enjoy World Showcase, but the added standing around in the heat is not much fun.

AK- my daughter really enjoyed being a Wilderness Explorer. In some ways it slows down the touring, but it also enhanced her experience of Animal Kingdom. She really enjoys learning. Don't expect to finish the whole book in a day, or even two days. Just do a few as you see them and hang on to the book for future trips.

Good question! I was just wondering the same thing, so I'll be watching this thread. I didn't even know about the Wilderness Explorer in AK until the poster mentioned it above.

DD(8) loves them all. You don't have to complete them if your kids decide they don't like them- they can just stop.

EPCOT- By far DD's favorite. Agent P from Phineas and Ferb. There are serveral missions. Each Mission is centralized in an EPCOT country. You go to a kiosk and get a communicator (basically a revamped cell phone). Then you go to the Country you want to do. The communicator then puts you on a mission and gives you clues. You have to solve the clue by finding the right location in the country. When you get to that location, there are special effects that happen when you press the button on the communicator- some of which are really neat. There were several times other park guests asked if we were making that happen and asked if we could do it again. Each mission takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on how fast you solve the clues. You can do as many or as few as the kids want, but I will warn you that DD wanted to do them all. Germany and UK are probably our favorites. I had to pry the communicator out of DH's hands and make him let DD play he was so into it.

MK- Sorcerrer's We did one mission thing on this. DD wanted to do more, but we had too many things to do in MK. I want to say it took somewhere around 30 to 45 minutes, but I'm not sure Basically, to start, you have to go to the firehouse by the park entrance and get cards . You get a key card that activates the game, a map, and a pack of spell cards. You can get a new pack of spell cards every new day you enter the parks- as long as you opened a "portal" with your previous set. (There are people that collect these cards). They will teach you what to do at the firehouse. Basically, you go to a portal, tap your keycard and then see a video and special effects- that video will tell you what portal you need to go to next. In brief, you can hold up your spell cards to cast spells and do things- and your ultimate goal is to defeat a villian.

AK- Wilderness Explorer. DD loved this too. You go to a station and you get a Wilderness Explorer book. That book has all sorts of tasks you can do to earn your merit badges (stickers). You don't have to actually do it at one time- basically it is find the stations or areas as you tour the parks. There are stations all over the parks. The book tells you where the stations are, so you just look through the book when you are in certain areas of the park to make sure you do your tasks in that area. For example, I think one was to locate certain things around Expedition Everest- once you located them you went to the station in that area and advised the Explorer CM there what you had done, and then they give you a sticker for completing that badge. There were several where you went to the station and the CMs there would teach you something and then give you a sticker. This one is mostly just a few minutes at each station. You probably won't complete the whole book in a day, but theoretically you could. Just be sure to keep an eye on the book so you don't miss the stations. For example- when we walked through the pangani Forest Exploration Trail, I wasn't thinking about it and I didn't realize there were stations in there and we missed them. Later when DD saw that spot in her book she wanted us all to go back and walk the trail again to find the stations-which area we were nowhere near and which we did not have time to do.

We did more this past trip (President's day week), than we have ever done before.

We did the MK Adventureland Pirate Treasure Hunt which was super fun, and probably the fastest. Each "quest" or "map" took only about 15 minutes. Over the course of two days my DD7 did 4 or 5 of them while her little sister rode Thunder Mtn. The kiosk for this is actually just past the POTC ride as Adventureland crosses into Frontierland.

We also did Sorcerer's - which we have done on previous trips. Each of those quests took longer - partly because we usually had to wait for a couple of people in front of us each time. I would say each quest took at least 30 minutes. We only completed two this time around. DD7 loves it, and DD4 tried it for the first time and liked it too.

DD's both really wanted to do the Wilderness explorers in AK, but we hit the park late, and ran out of time. It looks very fun, and very interactive. Definitely something I will do on the next trip.

We go to Epcot all the time, but have never done Agent P - my DD7 noticed other kids playing it this time and asked if we could do it - but it was our last day, and we didn't have much time left, so we will have to leave it for our next trip.

The adventures work great for my DD7 who doesn't like thrill rides, so it gives her something to do while everyone else rides the things she doesn't like.

We have done Agent P's a couple of times and the kids always like it. However if your kids are too young, it can be "work" for the parent. My biggest complaint with this one is it can take a long time especially if you get behind several families going on the same path. And then it kind of spoils it for your kids to see what happens when the family in front of you does it first. We typically only let the kids do this on our second day in Epcot, because it does sort of distract from your touring.

We are toying with doing the Socerer's one at MK this coming trip. I hadn't heard of the Pirate Treasure Hunt before? Is this seperate? I'm kinda worried about doing too much of these in MK just in case it would take away too much time from our touring.

I guess I'm not exactly sure what interactive games you're referring to. There are two games available in MK and Epcot, and just the one in AK.

First, AK, because it's easy: Wilderness Explorers. It's LOOONG. Like, unless you start at the beginning of the day and do nothing else all day, you likely won't get it done. We came home without all badgegs being earned/our books being full, which was fine. But it's really not something most people could complete in a day if they want to do anything else in the park, IMO.

MK: there is the pirate game (which we haven't played) and Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom. I'll defer to the others on the pirate game. SOMK was great fun, but again, not really something that can be completed in a day, as there are MANY cards to obtain (some which don't come free so have to be purchased or traded for) and many levels to complete.

Epcot: There's the Agent P game (again, which we didn't play) and also the Kidcot stations. My kids love coloring so loved the Kidcot stations. I think we maybe missed one in a full day at Epcot.

I don't think any of these games should be seen as a chore, but rather as a way to fill time in between rides. I think they're so long/detailed (other than the MK pirate game) specifically to be a time filler in all areas of the park. I would warn your kids not to feel like they have to complete each game, and tell them they're designed not to be completed in one day.

As other Posters have said, the earlier the better for theses fun "adventures"
.:)

If at all possible, start them at Park Opening.(Agent P World Showcase Adventure starts at 11:00 AM when World Showcase opens.):)

Wilderness Explorers is not as "dependent" on an early start as the others IMHO.:)
