Who has been the week of Christmas??

Gave that thread a bump, it is a DVC-mousellaneous thread. Hope that helps!!

We booked at our home resort, VWL, for a one bedroom starting Monday, December 22nd through Saturday, December 27th. We are totally prepared to not do much except enjoy the atmosphere. We know we will need to make ADR's at least 180+10.

I'd be curious to know what you mean by 180+10 as well... we are renting DVC points from someone for the exact same time frame... Can we make ADR's at basically 190 days out??

Thanks!

You cannot make ADR's until the first day of your reservations +180 days out and up to 10 days thereafter. Meaning that you can make reservations for Day 1 at 180 days out, Day 2 at 181 days out, Day 3 at 182 days out, etc. It's considered a "perk" for staying onsite. So for me I can make reservations for December 22nd through December 27th at the 180 day mark which I believe is June 25th.

Quote from wdwinfo "Dining Reservations can be made at all of the Disney World Table Service Restaurants 180 days in advance. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can make all of their dining reservations for the length of their stay (up to 10 days in advance) at 180 days from their arrival date."

Hope that helps.

Question:

Have the parks ever closed due to capacity and then reopened later in the day because a lot of people leave in the evening? Would that ever happen?

I just recalled some DISers talking about how they were night owls, as I am, and hit all the parks really late (evening) during this Christmas/NYs period. Do you think they were they just lucky with the park they picked? Or can a park be reopened once closed earlier due to capacity in the day?

Thanks.
