I don't know when Rick will be home because he is flying his airplane.

Maybe he will call and say that everyone is going out to eat

Awwww....you guys! Thanks! I'm having a quiet day - Tom and I are stuck in the house with the dog. I'm headed out to get my fountain soda, but solo. We can't leave this little rascal alone until her stitches are out. However, we're going to make it a junkfood and movie day.

Okay some pictures of the room I painted on the weekend.

This room is Liz's room (or at least it was) and it was a very dark navy blue before.

The pictures make it look very tiny and it is not large by any means, total size is 9 x 13. Also needs to be some stuff hung on the walls but all things in their own time. And time moves slow up here in the north

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Now I purchased this comforter after much deliberation. In the store I was 100% sure that it was olive green. When I was taking it into the house from the car I discovered that it had magically changed to a brown colour So, not what I thought I was getting:

As with everything else that I do, I had some "helpers" although their idea of helping and mine do not always end up being the same thing

Hmm, stop fighting on my new bed, you two.

Tired out from all the hard work:

Didn't like the bed under the window, so I thought I'd try it this way. I liked it much better this way but still wasn't really all that impressed with the comforter.

A new day, so lets try this again.

Still not happy this morning with the results I stopped at Sears on the way home from work and picked up something else. This time it is definitely green

Once again, my crew of handy helpers were right there in the middle of the action

Duster What a nut case, that cat is........ trying to stuff herself in the pillow sham, when the pillow is already in there.

Okay, finally got the job done, except for the curtains.

Last one and again the crew needs a nap from their hard afternoon of working.

Any opinions I sent Liz pictures and for the one today she says the following:

I love the paint color! The quilt changes the color. The 2nd one makes it look much more like the bamboo green you described. I like the 1st quilt the best, but I think both will do.

Robin~ I love the color of the walls! I like the 2nd bedding set better. The 1st reminds me too much of a teenage boys room.

PD, that's what I was thinking.

I love the feel of the plaid/brown one but it is quite a casual teenage boy looking thing about it.

I do like them both but I think the green one goes better in that room with the wall colour.

I'm thinking that I will be keeping the brown one and putting it in the other bedroom (Alex's old room) when I repaint it. I will just paint it in a colour to go with the comforter.

I must be an old lady, Robin! I thought the 1st was fine until I saw the 2nd. I like the 2nd better. I can see why Liz wouldn't like it tho. I agree about the pictures too, I thought the room looked beige with the 1st comforter but, I definately see the green with the 2nd now!

Thanks for the opinions on the room guys.

When we first put the paint on the walls, it really looked a browny beige colour but when it dried it is more greeny.

DU, sorry you haven't been able to get on. I've been wondering where you've been hiding out.
