Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Hello my TKer friends...

I have to work today, but later...3:15- 7:30...Yuck!..Not great hrs...

Tomorrow I go to the vet job...I am hoping it will turn into something more so I can quit the McDs job...

Ann, Robin, I love Mcs ice cream too...Its really hard to serve it all day and not get some for myself...hence my unhappy scale readings...:guilty:

But Im starting myself on WWs again...I really didnt join this time , Just doing what I know I have to do to lose...Hopfully I'll be able to keep it up...Id like to lose 10 lbs ( or more!) before we go to Maui...

Ann,
All your food plans sound so yummy...I bet the people who are having the wedding are thanking their lucky stars, they have you to cook for them!:flower3:

Its a beautiful day here today...So Im planning on sitting out for awhile...:sunny: The lawn needs mowing, but I just dont want to spend my free times doing yard work... Its funny how things change..I use to think that was one of the most important things to do...Now its important to spend my free time relaxing with Mike...:teeth: I also know if I dont do it he will...:thumbsup2 LOL

Well I hope you all enjoy the day!...
I have a funny feeling DU is...::yes::

TTFNpaw:

Morning all.

I know how you love your food;)

It was interesting to listen to you and Rick talk all about it on the cruise in January.

Betsy, I hope you enjoy your vet job.

Today I get to go for some scope thing at the hospital.

I went to the urologist last week about my kidney stones and he wants to do this scope and a CT scan.

Those along with my follow up visit and another doctor's visit for a wonky ECG and probably a stress test, will have me spending all my summer at medical appointments:sad2:

So I too shall head to the rain locker and get ready for my torture this afternoon. At least there is no prep work for it and you can eat and drink as you want and drive yourself. So I guess it's not all bad:thumbsup2

We've got another hot one here today.

Have fun everyone.

The scope went fine, he didn't see any major problems with my bladder. So far so good.

It took a lot of sitting around and waiting:sad2:

Don't know why I had to be there 2 hours before since the only thing I had to do was get undressed:confused3

I did get in and out before my appointment time, so that was good. Sure felt like I was sitting there forever waiting though.

The only thing is now "going" is not so much fun:scared1: Hurts and burns like heck (ya, I know, too much information :rotfl2: ) but time will take care of that problem.

OUCH! I think docs have patients come early because they constantly show up late and they work later. Plus, they can see you early if everything goes according to schedule!

Take care, lots of liquid and have Rick pamper you!

Aww, thanks for your concern Ann.

I think I'll be okay.:goodvibes

I really have to get some flowers planted in my backyard.

I've been really holding off and even considered not doing any this year but..

the old lady next door thinks that I'm "not well" since I've not planted any flowers yet :rotfl:

She is 87 and lives with her son and daughter in law.

Apparently she really enjoys looking at the flowers that I usually plant in my yard every summer.

How can I not do it now:confused:

They live on the corner lot and their backyard looks straight into ours.

The old lady is not well and spends a lot of time sitting in their family room and I guess enjoying my backyard with the pond and the birds and the flowers:upsidedow

I've not thought of opening a restaurant - I have had friends ask me to go into the catering/wedding business, but I really don't want to. It really is just a hobby and I don't want to lose the fun of it. Plus, DH & I hope to do more traveling next year....

Hi SWHTD - How are things for you?

Running a restaurant is tough business! Although I think you would be wonderful at it. You could share your recipes or something (unless you want to keep some a secret ;) )

That would be great if you and your DH went traveling. Do you have any particular places in mind?

Things are great here; starting a summer job this week to keep me busy!

Good luck Betsy! I'm sure it will turn into a wonderful career for you.

Robin - Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I'm glad to hear that the doctor didn't find anything though. The waiting is a major pain :headache: I swear, there's like a fancy doctor lounge that they hang out in for half an hour while you wait past your appointment ;)

Kim - everyone has the things they enjoy.....your busy schedule puts me to shame over and over.....I have to have my naps!
:rotfl2: I'm about to NAP right now! For about 5 hours, when Kelly needs to leave for skating. Trust me, your TALENT over my busy is much more WORTHY!!! :thumbsup2

I think I'll be okay.:goodvibes
You BETTER BE OK, Robin! Dang, don't scare me like that! :scared: Keep us posted, asap!

Plant those flowers for that neighbor-lady. ;) Sounds like she's missing their presence already. :flower3:

I bought a bed of mixed petunias from my niece's school, back in April. They arrived just before Mother's Day and DH & DD planted them for Mother's Day. They started as just green leaves but bloomed so FULL and colorful within a couple weeks, I couldn't believe it! They are CROWDING all the pots they're in!

Petunias and Carnations - My faves!!! :goodvibes I'm cheap - flower-wise! :flower3: ;)

 Kim.

I'm going to get those flowers, maybe today:confused3

My favourites for outside are impatiens. I have a lot of shade in my backyard and impatiens do really well in the shade.

Today I need to go get some food in the house.

We have friends that are coming from a few hours away to camp at the airplane club from tonight until Saturday morning.

We are going to haul the trailer out there and spend our nights out there, so I will be in and out of here until Sunday sometime.

I'm not going to spend all my weekdays out there though.

I have things that I should do around here............... like plant flowers for the old lady next door to enjoy :lmao:

Have a good one tkers. :sunny:

We had 3 of these big trucks full of stuff that we got in Chicago. Very neat trucks. The black part on the back just rolls together like an accordian to allow you to get at what's inside.

The inside of the back of the shop will never look so big and clean again:

Now, where the heck are we gonna put all of this STUFF :scared1:

Hi Robin! Thanks for the pics - that's some serious machinery..... did you get your flowers planted? I hope you have a fun weekend with your friend!

Today I finished up the cooking and it's all about re-heating and assembling from this point on. Here's what I made today:

10 dozen (that's the magic number) parmesan puff pastries
5 quarts of garlic chicken salad to fill the pastries with
5 dozen bacon pecan mini-cheeseballs (made 5 doz a few days ago, too)
4 batches of triple chocolate, heath crunch brownies (an original recipe!)
Baked the spinach onion pine nut tarts the second time for texture.

Tomorrow - it's all about the cake. The layers are made they need to be filled (with chocolate mousse) and frosted with buttercream then piped/decorated. They flowers are all ready to go and the cake won't get flowers or stacked until the wedding day (Saturday).

Ya'll take care!

Tkers.

I have a problem.:headache:

Well not a real big problem.

They posted another discount room only for annual passholders for the time we go in Sept-Oct.:scared1:

Now I already called about it and it seems that if we do it through Disney and not DVC we could stay at CB, get free dining, and it would cost us $1000 more. If we stay at POP it would be $400 more. Now what I mean by more cause we have to pay for our dining through DVC the time in Oct (insert sis quote here) so I'm taking that $ into account cause we have to pay for it anyway.

Now I would have to give up staying at BCV, but I would have to pay for dining but I would also get to keep my DVC points and save them for next year. The DW is really looking forward to BCV, but we can stay there anytime with the DVC thing. So it really comes down to how bad do I want to keep our points and stay at BCV.:confused3

What to do?

HELP!

What to do?

HELP!
I should HAVE your problems! :rolleyes1 ;)

Sounds like you wanna SAVE your points and BCV for next time. At what cost tho? This is what you need to 'splain to this 'Lucy'.

$400 MORE? Really? To downgrade and get FDP but save your points, right? Over what, a 10 day stay? I'm so bewildered with this DVC thing! From a non-DVC point, I did what you're thinking about - downgraded resorts but ADDED FDP and A DAY for $231 over 6 days! You're banking points, I banked NOTHING! And, I couldn't get POP! I got AS! Do it! You know you want to. ;) For "PETE'S" sake, (Werner, I mean), Call me! You'll be able to make ADRs online, too! :thumbsup2

WOW Robin! I had no idea our dinner involved such a HUGE dealing! :thumbsup2 Good Luck with business!! :cheer2:

Ann, I'm sorry, you will forever outdo me, trust me!! Have a great time at the wedding, for the wedding, etc.! I won't be here Sat to wish you well, sorry! I'm sure the cake will be MAGNIFICO also!! :thumbsup2

 all!!!

No Ann, I don't have my flowers planted yet:rotfl2:

I haven't even bought any.

I'm back in town for the morning to let the cats outside to play for a bit and to enjoy the air conditioning:rotfl:

Yikes, it's hot out. It's already 80º at 8:30 this morning:eek: Gonna get a scorcher out here today.

Yes, that was some serious machinery deal that we did while we were in Chicago.

Hopefully we will get the work to put into those machines now;)

Rory, sorry, can't help you at all with that decisions.

I tried to read what you put in there but it's all gobbley gook to me:confused3

I don't understand points and downgrading and upgrading and dining costs and..................................:sad2:

Hi everyone!

Well, the cake is frosted and in the fridge for Saturday! Tomorrow, I'm making some sauces for dipping and sauces for drizzling and getting the rehearsal dinner ready. We're having the lasagna that I was busy making pasta for a week or so ago, sausages & meatballs that will cook all day in sauce, salad & garlic bread. For dessert, I've made and frozen a cheesecake and will make a strawberry sauce to drizzle on the plates.

I'm also making a vinaigrette for the mozzarella pearls I've marinated and tomatoes that will be served in a japanese spoon.

I heard the news that Farrah Fawcett died and I knew that was coming but was floored to hear about Michael Jackson. Wow....

I hope everyone is having a GREAT day!

Morning all! Graduation day here. I'll also need to finish up cleaning and preparing for tomorrow's party and finish packing everything for WDW...actually, I just lifted my duffle bag...I have to do a little unpacking!

Ann~ as usual your menu sounds delicious. Have a great time. Can't wait to see pictures...especially a picture of the cake!:thumbsup2
