Morning all! Graduation day here. I'll also need to finish up cleaning and preparing for tomorrow's party and finish packing everything for WDW...actually, I just lifted my duffle bag...I have to do a little unpacking!

Ann~ as usual your menu sounds delicious. Have a great time. Can't wait to see pictures...especially a picture of the cake!

All of our kids were born at the same time????? The Grad party here is next week!!!

Hey Norton! How was Disney? Welcome home!

We are just back from DDs graduation. Through a thunder and lightening storm..and outside at our football stadium! Good news is that we just got extremely wet, not fried. Of course if they had cancelled the raindate was SUnday at 2:00. Our plane leaves Sunday at 7:50 am so I am very glad that we didn't need the rain date!

PD - Congratulations on the graduation! How was the party? What did you have? Disney is next!!!

DP - WooHoo! I think you may have the best job on the planet. Reception work is always fun and you get to love puppies and kitties, but you're not a tech so no yucky stuff!

Robin - how are you feeling? I've been thinking of you!

Hiya SWTHD - how are things shaping up for you?

The rehearsal dinner went REALLY well. They ate ALL the lasagna! I made 2 HUGE pans (over 30 lbs of the stuff) and it was extremely filling - but the guys all had seconds! Everyone liked the taste of hand-rolled pasta! We had the usual sides - sausages & meatballs and salad (with a rockin' balsamic vinaigrette - one of my favorite recipes) They also ate two 9" cheesecakes

I'm up and getting ready to head out to get things ready for this evening - wedding is at 6. I've got my camera and - with luck - I won't forget to take pics!

Good Luck today Ann! I am not at all suprprised that they finished all that food. They probably fought over it!

The party is today. We are having a BBQ in the backyard...burgers, hotdogs and chicken, red potato salad, deviled eggs, fruit salad, garden salad, pasta salad, and ziti, cake, cupcakes, cookies and an ice cream sundae bar. Anitpasta and veggie platter and lots of snacky stuff for appetizers.

Its a very nice sunny day here...
Yesterday I had off and friends came over, we hiked to the falls and played in them for the afternoon..Boy the water was really COLD..LOL
But we had a lot of fun!..I have pics Ill post when I get the time..

Another weekend worker! It's hard to keep track of the days when you work weekends huh? Your trip to the falls sounds really nice. It's so hot here right now i'm definitely going to the pool this week!

Here's a couple sides of the buffet -

Here's a close up of some of the more unusual dishes:

Mozzarella pearls with tomatoes in a balsamic vinaigrette served on Japanese spoons (we had HUNDREDS of them!)

Parmesan puff pastry filled with a Garlic Chicken Salad with Pecans (one of the most popular)

Not the best shot, but here's the dessert trio. We made hundreds of these, too and brought them around on trays to the guests after dinner. The top tray is Oreo Truffles, the middle tray is Orange Scented Cheesecake with Strawberry and the bottom tray is Triple Chocolate Heath Crunch Brownies (an Ann McElfresh original - can't find these in a cookbook!)

We had tons-o-food....probably filled each tray 3-4 times.

Hi Ann,
Im actually going to be working for the vets on Tues.11:15am-6PM, and Sats. 8AM-12PM..I will be given more hrs for the first few weeks for my training..My boss is going to work around my McDs schedule..
which I wont know for each week until the Thurs. or Fri. before the coming week..

McDs is really not the best run, and I will do well if I can get full time at the vets, but until I can, Im stuck with working most days there..
But my vet job will certainly have top priority! With working at both jobs...I could very well be working 7 days a week some weeks...

All your food pics are making me very hungry...everything looks soooooo good!

I'm off to spend some time with DH...another day of McDs work tomorrow...
