Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Robin - how are you feeling? I've been thinking of you!

Hi Ann. I'm feeling just fine. I just had a semi lazy weekend at the trailer.

I've been thinking of you too........... as I often do:thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

SUPER tired, but I wanted to post a pic of the cake. I'll post pics of the buffet table later.

Wonderful cake Ann. :goodvibes

Things are busy on this end. Now that summer's started things are getting pretty busy at the Wild Animal Park. I'm off to work! Enjoy your sunday everyone

How did your work go this weekend? Hope you had some fun along with the work.

Well I have to work today ....:guilty:
My first Sunday..I will miss the girls for most of the day...But I'll get home at 2PM..So alls not lost..They dont normally go home until after dinner..:thumbsup2

Did you manage to have a nice time with the girls after work Betsy? I hope so.

The waterfall sounds really nice.

Here's a couple sides of the buffet -

Thanks for sharing all those pictures with us Ann.

What a lot of work you did to make all of those lovely tidbits to nibble on.

PD, I hope you and your family had a safe trip to Florida.

Can't wait to hear about all of your trips.

Just a quick post to let you all know that I am leaving town again.

An unexpected last minute trip to Muncie Indiana.

We are really slow at work this week and the US National model airplane competition is going on.

Rick has decided that he'd like to go and have a look.

This weekend we are going to a competition here in Canada.

If I don't show up for awhile, don't worry too much about me.

I may not get close to a computer for a bit.

Enjoy your week everyone.

Have fun, Robin! Tell Rick we said hi!

I'm currently frosting a cake for my sister's library opening on 7/1. I always worry that it will turn out awful looking. The last cake the frosting seemed too stiff and this time it seems too soft. However, it tastes AMAZING!

I changed my mind on what it will look like. I'm going to do a 4th of July theme. It will be the floating layers (again - my next 2 cakes will have it). I'm too new to the cake biz to be stacking layers an hour away from home and this is what my niece-to-be wants for her wedding, so I'm practicing!

I'll take pics and I hope everyone is having a GREAT day! Lots of folks in Disney now - threadkillers are quiet!

Here's a close up of some of the more unusual dishes:

Mozzarella pearls with tomatoes in a balsamic vinaigrette served on Japanese spoons (we had HUNDREDS of them!)
DSCN1899.jpg

Parmesan puff pastry filled with a Garlic Chicken Salad with Pecans (one of the most popular)

Not the best shot, but here's the dessert trio. We made hundreds of these, too and brought them around on trays to the guests after dinner. The top tray is Oreo Truffles, the middle tray is Orange Scented Cheesecake with Strawberry and the bottom tray is Triple Chocolate Heath Crunch Brownies (an Ann McElfresh original - can't find these in a cookbook!)

We had tons-o-food....probably filled each tray 3-4 times.

Just looking at this has made me gain 10 pounds!:rotfl:

Hiya Sewer! You should have tried cooking it! I figured I'd gain 10 lbs trying everything (you gotta make sure the seasoning is right) but I was on my feet running around the kitchen so much that I worked it off (now if I could work off the rest!) I hope you're having a GREAT day!

Hiya SWTHD - you are TOO sweet! How's the job going?

It's alright. I just have to keep reminding myself it's only a summer job. It's basically a fast food restaurant which is fine, I just wish the guest couldn't see me :lmao: We have to wear hair nets and since I'm the only girl with short hair I look absolutely ridiculous! I'm covered in food by the end of the day but at least it's only part time. I just wish I didn't feel so ashamed about it. Oh well, such is life!

I get the whole week off to relax which is awesome :cloud9:

I understand....I did another cake for my sister's library opening and I feel like I'm covered in sugar every time I make or bake one! The good news - this cake was AWESOME tasting!....looks were okay.

Immmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm BACK!!!!!!!!

LOTS TO TELL..AND i MET PD112! :goodvibes

cATCH UP TOMMORROW

Hello to all.

Made our trip to Muncie, Indiana and back again.

Yikes was it chilly in Indiana the past couple of days :scared1:

I'll be heading out again tomorrow for the weekend, this time with the trailer.

We stayed in motels in Indiana, it made for a nice change.

Can't wait to hear all your stories DISUNC:thumbsup2

GOOD MORNING.:goodvibes

:laundy::laundy::laundy::laundy:

cRUSIN IS GETTING AROUND THESE DAYS.

Hey all.

Got back VERY EARLY this morning so just got up from a nap.:thumbsup2 We got in before the whole United Airlines computer crash at Ohare. But sat in front of a couple that DID ABSOLULTEY NOTHING to control there kid on the way back. As soon as he was belted in, he would scream bloody murder. So in stead of telling him to be quiet, they let him loose and he jumped around in the seats.:headache::headache::headache::mad::mad::mad: We tried to sleep when we could.

DW and I got the laundry done already so now just got to mow the lawn.:cool1:

Weather was really weird. Hot and humid the first 2 days then just humid and rainy the last 3.:headache: Lines for the major rides were VERY long. Even Toy Story was an unbeliveable 2 hours! So we fastpassed what we could and stayed busy.

But kids loved it!:dance3:

Zach went on every ride he could go on and his favorite was TOT!:scared1:Went on 3 times. Zoe still loves Splash Mountain. Got a halarious pic of us going down SM will try to post it. We also did the Kym Possible thing for Epcot and was quite surprised on the set up. Should try it out. We aren't big into the worlds but this made it interesting for all of us.

CSR was very good. Definately set up for the business type but, nothing wrong with it. Not very big and spread out so that helped. Only 4 stops on the resort and the wainting areas were small in the parks, so waiting for a bus was minimal. I think 15mins was the longest we waited and that was maybe twice. Pool was nice and food was typical. Would consider staying there again.

Was surprised that there are no characters at Liberty Tree Town Tavern anymore.:confused3 And we ate at The Wave, Sci-Fi, and Biergarten for the first time. Wave was alright nothing special. Sci-Fi was cool, kids definately loved it ate all there food while entertained. Biergarten was very good. Food was good and so was the entertainment. You can dance on the floor and watch them play different instraments. Was a good time until Zach pushed another kid to the ground:mad: That ended the day.

Already got our ADR's for Sept-Oct, Some were already filled up! Still haven't decided to go w/ or DVC rez's or stay at CB and save our points. Have until the 25th to decide.

Welcome Back Rory and DU!

Rory - sounds like you had a lovely time - it IS busy during the summer! I'm sorry to hear The Wave is nothing special...I still plan on trying it, tho! I loved Toy Story and was surprised to discover that I liked Tower of Terror, too! I can't wait to see your Splash Mountain pics and anything else you're willing to post!

Take care and have a great evening!

Sorry to have missed you Rory.:guilty: My cell phone died during the trip (a replacement is on it's way).

We lucked out with the rain. Everytime it did rain (which wasnt much) wasw when we were inside. Just got stuck on our last day,in MK. But it felt good to walk around MK without the heat. We then checked into The Royal Plaza at DTD & did DTD that last night. Then went to The Titanic Experience on the last day, on the way too the Airport.

We won a CARS blanket on the plane coming back. Allegiant plays games on the flights.

I posted pics on Facebook.

Gotta run & take Elvis in for a checkup to his leg this am. He is doing fine.

Quiet weekend here (YYYYYYYYYEAH). Everyone is going to NYC for the w/e, except me & pop. Friends are all gone. Gonna catch up on some serious sleep.:thumbsup2

The Titanic Experience is right across from where I got my hook tattoo! :rotfl:
