Hey CourtasanSatine how are you tonight? And more importantly what's on the Menu for a late night snack? ;)

Hi JºoºhnG:)

and the late night menu is the following: candy bars, twinkies, and lots of coke for the night shift

Gone for a week. all my other nite owls will have to keep this thing alive for the next week.

Phil have a good trip.

Have a good one all..

Morning fellow thread killers. Reporting in for Monday work duty.

Phil, just wanted to also send my best wishes with your no-smoking campaign. I was a two-pack a day smoker before I quit 13 years ago right before I got married. It was one of the hardest things I ever did, but once I got past the initial pain and torture, I never looked back and never missed it. During the first few weeks of quitting, I tried to do things that I did not associate with smoking like going to the movies, working out, taking a lot of baths and showers. I also chewed a lot of sugarless bubblegum to help my mouth get over that "I need to be doing something" feeling which I think helped me not gain any weight. Anyway, good luck - it's hard but so worth it!

I love the idea of saving smoking money for a Disney trip, JºoºhnG!

up in smoke. NOT.

72 hours and still not smokin'

just my weekly check in...

Good Luck Phil, DH has been quitting for 3 years now...somehow I think his heart just isn't in it... :(

Hopefully you'll have better luck! Just think how much better all that disney food will taste! :):)

Have a great trip!

Robin

You know, I've never been part of a thread that went to 1000 before! Cool!

:D

Me either *Robin*- that is cool!

Phil - keep up the good work on the no-smoking campaign. We're all proud of you.

Man, I couldn't even find this thread.
Had to go to my deleted file for the link. Good thing I saved it couldn't let it die at 1000,

Sheesh...this thing is on some serious life support! I was so close to being the Ultimate Killer and my hopes were dashed at the last minute...LOL.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement.
It has now been 4-1/2 days since my last cigarette and I believe I have gotten thru the worst of the physical withdrawal. Now I have to work on the psychological.

With your encouragement and the support of my family and friends here in the real world I will make it.

What really surprises me is the support I am getting from other smokers and thier wish that they could also quit. Well I am here to tell them all YES YOU CAN. With the use of Zyban or Welbutrin and the Comitt lozenge I think just about anybody can do it.

Thanks again to all.

Congratulations Philaround!
I quit a little over a year ago but I have been sneaking a few lately. :(
I don't now why! :(
The physical withdrawal I went through was so shocking, I was sure that I would never smoke again!
When I quit, I quit cold turkey. I got through it though.
Then, after 11 months, the temptation when I am with smokers suddenly gets the best of me.
Maybe I should get some Nicorette or something because I can tell that I am not headed in the right direction now.
I felt SO much better when I didn't smoke.
Even my skin and face looked younger and healthier almost immediately.

Keep up the good work, I know you can do it!

shh don't tell anyone but I'M HUNGRY

Morning everyone.

Keep up the good work, Phil. I found the first 2 weeks the hardest, then it got so much easier.
