Awww Ann, ya made me all weepy. My DSIL is doing ok, I talked with my DBro earlier. She's staying overnight, but they expect her to go home tomorrow, provided she can eat something. Funny thing - ya know what they say about Drs. & nurses being the worst patients? Well, DSIL is a nurse, and I guess she came out of anesthesia cursing up a storm - and she doesn't swear! Haven't heard from my Aunt tonight, she said it would be a long day today. And this morning, I gave big {{HUGS}} to my friend and told her she was gonna be just fine. And thanks Ann, but I'm fine, really.....at least I think I am.



Safe travels to all our TKs! I filled up the lurker mobile yesterday. That's ok tho, no thanks necessary - a free will donation will be collected at a later time.

That's the only picture that I took of her that she looks anywhere near serious in, otherwise I would have posted one with just her in it

She went all out for graduation........her favourite blue jeans, her oscar the grouch tshirt and her brown converse shoes Good thing she had a gown to wear

Busy weekend here this weekend. Dinner tonight out at the airplane field with some friends that are camping there. A bunch of the guys and their wives are getting together. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. Monday we get off to relax, I think anyways

I came home today to find a pkg...hanging on my mailbox...
I LOVE The christmas mickey!...He is just SO cute....He will stay in the house so he doesnt get faded...and will go on my tree when christmas comes....but right now he is in my display cup , with Pooh and all my other disney toppers ...
THANK YOU!...You ARE a giver!

We got a "Leap Frog Leapster"..(a hand held learning and game device)..for my DGS...Hope he likes it...with all the toys they have in that house(4 boys and a infant girl))...We didnt want to just add to all the cars and trucks ...and My DDIL home schools them ...So I though this might come in as a handy learning tool too.!

AND we went to applebees for lunch they have WW stuff in their menu......I had skewered shrimp and steak..only 7 points..very good too ....
Stll have to go food shopping ...but we will wait until later...had to get my DM dinner first...

well...PA has all her staples out...the Doc removed half on Tuesday and the other half on Thursday....

she's still sore and moving slow...but is mending too....

I suppose they'll want some free food (sigh)

Your DGS and DDIL will love the leapster. I've heard alot of good things about that item. The kids have fun and don't know they are being educated!

Tinknutt - do you want to come over on Tuesday to watch it?...or will you be busy getting ready for the trip? Thanksgiving in October is because Robin lives in Canada....that's when they celebrate...can't tell you about the graduation - maybe year round school? (BTW, I have something for you...)

Robin - I'm SO excited about the recitals! I'm going to hold off watching them if Tinknutt can make it on Tuesday. If not - I'll watch them and hold the box for her before we send it to the next recipient!

BrerPapa - glad that PA is doing well. Keep up the good work and be sure to give her a wet-sloppy kiss from us!

Today was a really quite day. Cloudy - warm outside - but I was cold and sleepy all day. Just couldn't get started.....I think I'm getting a cold. DH and I took it easy, took a 2 hour nap and I've been reading and relaxing all day.

Graduation in October is a strange tradition that they seem to do only at this particular school. It was the same when I graduated from there (exactly 30 years ago )

No other highschool in this city does graduation in the fall, they all do it in June. No we do not have year round schooling It's too hot in the summer and the schools do not have air conditioning in them.

Maybe they do it because this is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and they figure most of the students will be home for the long weekend There was a pretty good turnout of graduates last night. There were 220 graduates but I'm not sure exactly how many were there last night.

Ann you got those DVD's already. Packages sure travel MUCH faster within in the US than between the 2 countries.

Can't wait to see the DVD's....and got some goodies to add!! This has been alot of fun with the box and surprises! Would you all like to do a secret santa? I could assign a number to everyone, pick one number, I'll PM you who you have and spend no more then say $15-$20 on that person and send it for Christmas. That way everyone gets a Christmas wish from a TKer with out having to buy one for everyone. Make sense? Any takers?
