Well, I had an eventuful day yesterday. My walking partner and very good friend called me - her husband had what appears to be a minor stroke. We spent the day in one emergency room after another - he was transferred to a different hospital and they are still running tests. He's pretty young, too.

Also, found out yesterday that my parents aren't coming home to Florida this weekend - Dad's leg isn't healing like they want and they aren't removing the stitches yet. DM needs more serum made for her allergies - the reason they were coming home - they always get just enough to last the summer, but her allergest here will make some up and express it up there.

I'm going to the hospital again today to sit with my friend and get her transported there and back. It's not far, but in the center of downtown - which neither of us are familiar with.....the GPS in the car makes it much easier than her going alone.

So -gotta scoot!

Yep...I'm going to NYC!!! One week from today i'll be in the 'takeoff' mode from San Jose to Minneapolis where my HS friend will meet me at my gate then we'll proceed to our gate to LGA together! it is the 1st time for each of us in NY and we're going to celebrate our BD's together!

It's a week and a bit early but that is what makes it such a nice surprise

Give the kids an extra dessert in my honour please. (Better them eating it than me )

I told the doctor the other day that I had a spot in my throat that sometimes I can feel a bit of pain when I swallow things (usually liked mashed potatoes). Somehow I ended up getting scheduled for that barium swallow I think because she asked me if food stuck when I swallow (which it sometimes but not often does). I am also supposed to see an ENT specialist so he/she can see if there is something there. I'm not really concerned that much about it but thought I should at least mention it to the doctor when I was there.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends husband You are such a special friend helping her out like that. I hope he is doing better today.

Hers was Jan 6th...mine is oct 20th. I couldn't go during the summer, so we chose Sept so that the Yankees were still playing....HAVE to see DJ & Arod again.....and i totally believe in celebrating the month...not just the day....so the entire month of October (wkends) anyway and even into Nov are FILLED with BD celebrations of some sort!! Thinking i'm getting about 6 wks of FUN FUN FUN this year!!!!

Hey Colleen, is there some kind of hair colour that you could put in your hair for the halloween party and then have it wash out completely later that night??

That might be a cool addition to your costume for MNSSHP.

I don't really plan on wearing a costume. It's not really my thing.

I have tried color, it doesn't show well~

One year I teased my hair out, painted green in it and attached a latex witch mask to my face...they have masks that are like movie make up that get glued on. Now that I know I am allergic to latex and the fact that latex is also in the glue I won't be doing that this year either.

Maybe I will do the cheap halloween tshirt costume with some Mickey Halloween ears. I think I need to take that break and go over to Spencer's and see what they have~

I still have mine too....Its too bad its too big for me....I did make a shirt that has my user name on it though.. (Its Blue )....and it has "Disboard Threadkiller" under the name...So It will be my NEW TKer shirt....

Im packing up all my elecs.....I am undecided about bringing my laptop....I know the safe isnt big enough for it...and it will be too hot for the car.....
I know I could leave it with the front desk, but that just seems like a pain....
But it would be really nice to upload all my pics,....

As for costumes...
I think it may be just a Tshirt for Mike and I... Maybe something with the MNSSHP Headline and the date.... ..IF I can get them done.. ..
I got the shirts all made for the boys..To wear under their costume in case the tunics are too hot...they can take them off and still have a theme going....One has pics of Peter, and the other pics of Edmund from Narnia...They came out nice....

Rose kept Stefanie's at the hotel offices, it seemed pretty easy~

I have only carried a crappy laptop and left it in my room with no problems...

now as you know I have my Blackberry for internet access and I use the Walgreens just outside of WDW property (past DTD) to upload to a CD when I need to.

I have seen costumes and H. stuff, at walmart and target just last week...You might want to check out the bigger stores...
We have a speacial Hollween store that opens every year...But I dont think it will be opened , before we leave.....
Im just going to pick up a couple of Ts...and hopefully Ill get time to make up something.... ...If not we will just go as wallet 1, and wallet 2...LOL

I left my brand new Dell laptop in the hotel last April (CSR) and no one touched it....guess i never worried about it there....hummm...should i?

Tigg.....if John was going - you guys could go as M&M's....you just get a dark brown pillowcase for you & sew white "M&M's" on the front....John would need a yellow one with brown "M&M's w/nuts"

It's a cool but sunny bright day here today.

Got woke up by the doorbell this morning. The neighbours across the road couldn't get their huge hulking motorhome out of their driveway without hitting Alex's car (which was parked legally and correctly on the road). So he had to go out and move it for them.

I suppose they could have just ran into it for him

These people can be a bit of a pain. We have a small driveway with limited parking and always park a car on the road in front of our house. One winter they took their pickup truck (used to pull the 5th wheel trailer they had then) and parked it right in the MIDDLE of the available space and left it there for the entire winter They could have moved it forwards or backwards and left space for someone else to park but I know that they did it deliberately that way. I actually saw him park it, get out to make sure it was in the middle and then leave it there.

Oh well, I needed to be up this morning. I have a dance/exercise class at 11 and other things that need to be done.
