Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

What a wonderful day I had. My DDs (13 & 15) and I went to the Berkshire Mountains today to the Clark Art Institute to see a Monet Exhibit. I am a huge Monet fan so was very excited. I was really very pleasantly surprised that the girls wanted to go with me (and DH was relieved cause he has no interest in art museums) DD(11) stayed with grandma because in her words "I don't want to spend my day off from school looking at some dead guys sketches!"

The art museum is a small museum at Williams College with an incredible art collection. I mean there are at least a few paintings from most every major artist. They even had paintings from the 1300's. It was absolutely amazing. And it was a beautiful day for a drive through the mountains. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to get there. WHile we were there I realized we were only a few miles from a liberal arts college that DD(15) has shown some interest in. The college brochure looks wonderful and the website looks nice, so I figured, hey we're here may as well go take a look. Well let me tell ya the college is off of the list! THe college buildings themselves looked nice enough but it was like the buildings were plopped down in the middle of a circus freak show. All the people in the area looked like "circus folk" or delinquents! We decided we wouldn't even get out of the car.

We were driving in a parking lot at a rest area today, when these jerks from QUebec, came tearing outta nowhere and swiped in front of us, missing us by inches. THey weren't even looking for a close parking spot, and cutting us off probably saved them about 2 seconds time. I told DD(13) she'd have to key his car, because she'd just go to Juvie but DD(15) and I would have to do time in "the big house" if we did it. But we opted for the safer (not better) option and I just fumed on the inside!

So...Mike(DGS), Loves to see me cringe, as he tells me his and his brothers latest adventures...and hes telling me this awful story, about how he zooming down this big hill on his bike ..and how he crashes. .and all the things hes hit on the way down .He shows me his cuts and scrapes...with pride!.....
Well, yesterday as we are walking into Target, I was telling how hes got to be very careful not to get too rough when he's playing( they are very tough boys), because it would be very sad if they got hurt and couldnt go....I get my mom a wheelchair, as she gets tired walking around the store..and were shopping ......Somehow....LOL... I hit mike with the wheelchair as Im turning around a corner ...and knocks him down...
OMG...I couldnt believe it....in that split sec....All Im thinking is...ALL his rough playing and Iend up hurting him!!!????..JUST BEFORE THE TRIP????????LOL..
He ended up doing one of those....."yeow...aowww...laugh...laugh...ewooo..laugh...So I figured I was saved...and he'd live through this...feeeeeeeeeewwww...
Sometimes I wonder how I got my DL...

Anyway...Im not really sure how its going to be this morning... ...Looks kind of cloudy out there right now

Yes....it's 12 hours of scrapbooking...1.5 each to set up / tear down...have 36 people coming...so it's alot of work BUT a lot of fun!!!! Here's a piece of info...none of you probably want to know...but it's $650 to make one scrapbook...THAT is the reason I teach people to make their own!!!

Okay - here's my schedule for NYC....

Wed 4:57 arrive into LGA - met by Aisling who will take us to hotel, and then we will all go for dinner
Thursday....as much sightseeing as we can do...lunch at Tavern on the Green
Friday...more sightseeing followed by dinner at CLUB 21
Saturday....SHOPPING then Wicked at the Gershwin
Sunday....YANKEES vs Toronto....
Monday early early morning - back to Cali~

Technically.... I have been here LONGER then DU and DU is catching up QUICK!! So in my defense~ I have a minimal life....

I went out with a girlfriend lastnight..we had dinner then had a few drinks. Big stress reliever.

I'm almost done with school!!! My last two tests I got a 71 and 94

Next week I have a skills check-off! Gotta put in my application for my Boards License...then have a Peds final..then an exit exam!!!!

Then I'm done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when you take the boys to MNSSHP, what are you going to focus on; rides, trick or treating, shows or are you the decide when we get in the gate kinda person? Did you see the party map is out? Check the updates on the DIS home page, lemme know if you need me to bring over the link~

I wanna go trick or treating and hopefully hit a couple of my favorite rides. I want to find a Photopass person when we all gather together and get them to take a nice group shot early on...

We are having a quiet day today. The kids are at another concert, I went shopping all morning. Our local Harley store was having a tent sale and I picked myself up 4 tops and pair of shorts and a sticker for about $50 total I went to Target and found what I needed to have a costume. I dropped a huge dime there today too. I went to motor vehicle to register my new Geo. John and I got the title last night and will pick it up before the weekend is over~

I started some laundry, made myself a drink, started packing what I need for my costume and sat down here...

I think its 5 for the ADR...and Im just not sure what we will focus on ...I did hear that you shouldnt bother getting in line too much for the candy... They will top your bag as you are leaving....

I guess it also depends on what rides we have already done ..we will be at the MK alot that week....

I know we wont be doing the HM this time ....Ill be saving that for when I go with the DGGs...
