Oh yes...that's right - we do...but us "stars" in the strawberry world have a strawberry in ours too!!! so i guess that's technically called a strawberry mimosa...having one right now...with Dom no less!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

DU....i'm like you with cabinets and closets...altho the label thing isn't such a big deal...but they are very organized...same with my closet....everything has to be hung in 'color' groups....lightest to darkest....now the rest of the house....like my office & the garage...could definitely use some big time help....the kitchen & family room one could easily tell is 'lived in' but the formal living room / dining room is spotless...oh yeah...i don't let anyone in there....:rotfl2:

:guilty: Rory is missing too!:confused3

Morning everyone.

I was at Food and Wine Festival a couple of years ago. We tasted some great stuff too.

School started today here. I thought this would be my first year with no one in school but since Alex decided to go back for another year.:confused3

The only thing is his school is 3 hours drive away. He only has classes 2 days a week right now (Mon and Tues) and plans to drive back and forth staying there on Monday nights. At least that is his plan so far.

Hopefully he made it there safely this morning. I never heard from him so I'm guessing that he did. He has to drive thru Toronto and then north, so traffic in the morning could be a problem for him.

Ah, well, he's a grown man, he'll manage to take care of himself.:thumbsup2

Betsy, I know you've said before but what grandsons are you bringing with Florida with you.

I missed this the first time I read thru the posts this morning.

I sent Kim an email last week and I got a reply from her.

She says that life is busy right now with family stuff.

She also says that everything is okay that she is just busy ebaying at night and doesn't have much time for Dising at the moment:confused3

BUT, Kim we DO miss you around here:sad1: I always looked forward to the posts from our late night DISER. :guilty:

Hi all!

I was too lazy to get up for the sunrise today, we are headed to a different beach today, a more secluded one where hubby and ed can fish while rose and me sunbathe.

It is hot today, supposed to get up to 90. Winding down on vacation time, going home in a couple more days.

I am very happy to be able to join yall at the end of this month. Du, what happened? You got dissed? When? How?

Brenda, thanks for the PM, looking things up from my blackberry is a total pain. I haven't even checked my emails

I had never met a disser at WDW, until I went to F&W. During that I met about 10 DISers in one morning!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I guess DISers like to eat and drink! It seemed like everybody had a lime green Mickey hanging off of them somewhere!

I met a disser at F&W. Yep, after we exchanged user names and such it got very ackward :lmao: We didn't have anything to talk about :confused3

 self explainatory!

I remember reading somewhere that 90% of all the recipients are currently married. AND like 80% of the appointments were made by woman!:rotfl:

Guess we're the other 20% because he made his own appt. I just had to convince him to ;)

This is the plan....I am very excited too!....:cool1:
:hyper:

Mike and I plan on doing Epcot, all day on Sat....
Its the one day I picked and planned, for myself...the rest of the week was planned with the boys in mind...I hope they dont get too bored with an all day food fest...:confused3
But then again...If they do,...TOO BAD....LOL...
Im sure they wont anyway...those boys just LOVE to eat....So anytime I start to hear the tinist bit of a complaint...Illl just shove some food in their mouths...and they will forget all about what they were going to complain about.......:teeth:

They can't be bored! It's Disney! I was worried that mine would be bored as well but the last time we went to F&W they had as much fun as we did.

Are you going to let them do kidcot?

Hiya Threadkillers!

I didn't turn on the computer all weekend! DH and I just enjoyed ourselves! I'm cleaning now and thought I'd take a quick break....except ya'll were chatty! It ended up being a LONG break - but enjoyable!

My WDW plans are Epcot in the afternoon on Saturday (I'm driving up that morning) then meeting at the Yacht Club. I won't do ice-cream at Beaches and Cream because I have dinner plans that evening.

Hope ya'll are having a great day! It's Tuesday, so I've got to dust, vacuum, febreeze & light candles. I also have to do the floors that I didn't do on Monday (but I did do the bathrooms).

DU - I'm inbetween Felix and Oscar - with tendencies towards Felix. If you asked Tinknutt & SWHNN, they'd say I'm 150% Felix....but I'm not!

Both our Sons called last night from San Diego (one lives a block or so from the beach) and there was an "End of Summer Riot" on the beach. It was getting bad enough that the police were lining up on the beach in full riot gear. I don't understand mob mentality....that's why the only crowded place I can stand going to is Disney. People are too crazy now-a-days!

I've got to get cleaning! Ya'll take care!

"An end of summer riot"??:confused3

Sounds like a perfectly good way to ruin an otherwise wonderful summer to me:sad2:

About ice cream at Beaches & Cream, I guess it will depend on how much other stuff we have had during the rest of the day and if we are hungry or not at the time:thumbsup2

I met a DISer once in the Soarin line. I saw the green Mickey head and started talking to the lady but it was her husband who was the DISer and he was on the phone most of the time that I near to them in the line, so I didn't really get to talk to him much.

Other than that I really haven't met any DISers that I had not planned on meeting in advance.

I dont' know if I get in my own zone and don't notice other DIS identifying things or just haven't run across many DISers in my travels

BTW,
We are meeting in the lobby of the BEACH club, not the yacht club lobby,..two different lobbys...You will go by both on the way into Epcot, from the Dolphin.
but you'll be walking with us so we'll get you there...:cool1:

Im a total, Oscar,..and thank god, Mikes not.......except for my car ...I hate a dirty car, on the inside ...not out...
If I needed the outside to be clean...Id be a wreck, seeing as I live on a dirt road..LOL

They sound so sweet!

I was planning on showing it to them and see if they are interested in it...The twins didnt want to bother with it when we took them...:confused3 But if they want to do it ...sure ..:goodvibes

I have also gotten them a lanyard each, and a few pins...So they can trade, if they'd like...The girls really liked to pintrade...I only let them do it with the CMs,...tho..;)

I have met a DISer , in R&C....I cant remember her name. She stopped in here said Hi and I cant remember seeing her on again....She, and her DH were very nice to talk to though....

Hiya Threadkillers!

I just got done with my 2nd exercise of the day (I've taken to exercising twice a day Mon-Fri so I can eat and still lose weight).

Today, I made a Pear Cream gelitan dessert for tomorrow (Nephew is coming over), I have Swiss Steaks in the oven (man-o-man do they smell good) and a cauliflower casserole for dinner.

I also made a Blueberry Crunch Bread today for DH to have with coffee this evening then take the rest to work.

I found this awesome cookbook about 3 weeks ago. Folks nominated their Mom's specialties - what they make on birthday's, holidays, etc. The folks who nominated are all adults with kids of their own, so most of them are somewhat vintage 50's and 60's meals. Lots of gelitan desserts and the like. Anyway - with the exception of allergies - I'll probably make 85% of what's in there!

This week's menus come entirely from that cookbook. I usually try 3 new recipes a week, but I'm trying about 12 this week!

Gotta shower - I'm sweating on the computer!

Thanks - My luck - I would show up at the wrong one and think ya'll were Dissin' me! :)

 Gosh never thought of that :rotfl2:

Now, we would never do that to you Ann.

We like you too much.

Felix complex and all.:thumbsup2

Killers of ye old Threads!

Big Day today!:yay: Last night watching TV da Mudda saw a commercial for McDonalds. "Ya know I am craving a hamburger, and I never had one from Mcdonalds!" She said

 "Never", i replied

"Nope" she answered:sad2: "Let's go tommorrow"

"Ok!" I'm ez!

As I thought about this, when we were in McD's together, she always ordered a chicken or FisH-O-Fillet!:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

So off we went to Mickey D's and Mom had a Double Cheesburger, Fries & a vanilla Shake! She was HOOKED!!!!:lmao: :lmao:

"That was DELICIOUS!"! :goodvibes

Aint that funny...all these years and never had a Mickey D's hamburger!:confused3

Also I got a 'Warning" today(my first :confused3 )! I replied something VERY FUNNY but sarcastic(snarky) on one of those 'lets knock men threads"! Evidently some of the female Disers were soooooooooo offended that they reported mepirate: .:lmao:

So It was deleted & I got a warning...NO Points...and a ";) " from the WebMaster!

:rolleyes1

So what FIRSTS did y'all do today? (<-----For Cally):santa:
