Happy Birthday to Brendas Baby!

I have bad news to report! After 57 years, my Parents are Divorcing!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Since my father decided to blast the TV during Jepoardy...then sit on the REMOTE:scared1: My Mother decided she finally had it and is leaving him. I get to go with Mom!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
ps MUCH to Dads amazement....I actually walked to the TV & turned the volume down. He was  stunned by this, and I foiled his evil plot!:yay:

Thanks for Ryan's BD wishes...i will pass them on...even tho i found out late last ight (once i got home at 8:45....waaaaaaaaaayyyyy past my bedtime) that he has BB practice from 6-8 tonite....i'm going to give him the option to 'skip' it if he wants!!:rolleyes1

Du....the very best to your mama today....will be thinking of her (& you)...hope all goes well!!!

I found out yesterday that my mom is having a hip replacement next tuesday...she SOOOOO needs it & has been putting it off....even adamant about not having it, but has a new dr. so he's convinced her that she does need it....whew finally. thing is, she'll be 78 & has NEVER had anesthesia before in her life...never had surgery before....but she says she'll be okay & i don't need to come home ....fortunately my youhgest sis - an RN will be there with her & after she's released she'll take her back to the senior care "Villa" that she directs....so i'll see her in may - she should be all recovered by then

well i'm off to the gym soon....have a great day~

Morning Brenda!

Happy Birthday Ryan
:bday: :cake:

Good thoughts to your mom and her hip replacement :wizard:

Enjoy your workout!

morning everyone.

I think my cold is settling in my right sinus and ear :headache:

Both are aching this morning.

Guess since I am flying next week I won't wait too long to have it checked out.

Gonna call the vet and have Sunway checked out today too. He's not eating or drinking properly still.

DU:wizard: let us know how things go with mama.

Go get the fresh garlic! QUick!

Good idea to go to the vet on this. Hope all is well.

I made my airline reservations today! We go out the night of the 15th and are coming home the night of the 26th. Originally I was planning to come home the night of the 25th. Return flights were 150.00 on the 25th, but only 99.00 on the 26th. So saving 51.00 each ($255.00 total) on the flights more than paid for the extra night at POR, which was $199.00 a night. We're getting annual passes so the extra day in the parks won't cost us anything.

Hey PD, congrats on the airline tickets.

I just booked tickets for my inlaws.

They are going Mar 4 - 19 roundtrip from Detroit to Orlando for 159. each.

I thought that was an okay price.

There are relatives in Florida, so they are staying with them.

They are not really able to make the long drive anymore so we (read that as I) offered to drive them to the airport and they will be picked up at the other end.

Since my FIL seems to be sliding into the Alzheimers bit :guilty: it may be my MIL's last chance for a nice trip away for quite some time.

Busy day with vet stuff. I'll update on that later.

How is everything going with mama DU??

Good I hope.

$99 is an amazing price!! Congratulations PD!

DU, is there any way or any one who could watch your parents so you could still go in March too?

I used to be happy with any fares under $200...nowadays $150-160 is the average if you time it right.

As far as the scratching post...maybe my cats have been happy with ours cause it's wood and not carpet :scratchin We don't do carpet scratching posts...mine claws the carpet sometimes but as Cally said, she doesn't do any damage to that~

Hellllllllllllo TK'ers

Mom had a very successful toectomy!:thumbsup2

Busy day today. We got back from the Drs office, then my friend showed up to see Ma. Then Moms friend came bay then my friend Debi & her DD...they stayed for dinner.

DU - SOOOOO glad it went well today!!!

PD....congrats on some great deals!!!!

robin...hope dr gives you something to get that cold taken care of....you don't want to be  on vacation...good luck with subway too

Evening all.

It's been a busy day here.

I didn't go to the doctor for myself. I'm still getting super stuffed up, everytime I sit down it seems:rolleyes:

Tomorrow morning I have to go to the dentist to see about a tooth that has been bugging me. Probably have it pulled, other choice is a root canal which does not sound very exciting to me:scared:

That means a visit to another specialist.

I think 2008 is destined to be the year of the medical visits. So far I've seen my family doctor, an internal medicine guy, had blood work done, another blood work to do and then the dentist stuff. Man, it's only the 15th of January:scared1:

Of course add the vet on top, which is another doctors visit

I hope things start to change around here real soon.

Anyways about the cat. I think they have figured out that he has FIV which is an autoimmune deficiency which leads to kitty AIDS.:guilty:

It's sad but he is 15 1/2 years old. They did some xrays and bloodwork which all look pretty good actually except for the FIV test results. He has no major tumours that are visible in his body which I suppose is a good thing.

The vet thinks that Subway still has some quality life left to live. We can't be sure of how much but anything is possible. The only problem is that if he gets sick he has not much of an immune system to get him well.

So after paying tons of money to figure this out, we have brought Subway home to love him for whatever time he has left.

On a happy and exciting note......... furniture is supposed to come tomorrow between 2 and 5 pm. :dance3:

Something to look forward to after going to the dentist:sad2:

DU, glad to hear all went well with your mama and her toe-ectomy.

Is she having any pain with it?
