Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

Well It has been a busy end of the year...but I lived through it....

A few days ago I was getting wood from my barn with my wheelbarrow and coming back from the barn with it full of logs..I was trying to stay in the snow, and NOT the ice on my driveway......
WELllllllll, I had to pull it out of a frozen hole in the snow and when I finally got it out,.... the weelbarrow, skipped over the snow and ended up on the ice...as I put my foot out to stop it from tipping over and sending logs shooting down my driveway on the ice, it too slipped out from under me...and I ended up with the weelbarrow handle bashed into the side of my....(lets see how I can put this) ummm ,,,well .. below my armpit
now the side of my B**** is black and blue...( well it was...its better now...Just kind of dark pink/yellow)..
But I have to tell you, as I was sitting there in the snow and ice...I was thinking as soon as I feel like Im gonna live, I have to get up and collect all those logs that are sliding away... and finish this job, as Mike wasnt coming home til way after dark...I did say a few choice four letter words.... I would have made a pirate proud...

THEN NYEs... I was getting into the shower(there is a step up)...and bashed my middle toe so badly that I tore the skin back from my nail...and I heard a pop...another stream of words normally not heard from me...and My toe is the biggest I have ever seen it..and its a very nice shade of purple...
No dancing for me that night...( not that I would have danced anyway)...Im still limping and it was hell putting on my shoes to go out ...
I really love my crocs now
Inspite of it all, Mike and I had a great time... the band was very good ... and we were treated very special , by the owners, who over the years have become our friends.... ( we have been going there every Thurs. for the last almost 20 years now)
I had shrimp, lobster and choc. moose(sp?), Mike had shrimp, haddock(sp?), and a big piece of choc. cake...and of course the champain that everone gets...But we didnt drink much more then that as we had to drive home... we arent really drinkers anyway
Yesterday we took all the christmas stuff down...Boy the house looks so empty now.... ....

Well It looks like you all had a good holiday too

Its back to normal here.... I will be home all day....I have to start planning our June trip and make my dinning res.s...
I have already made one for norway/storybook buff. for the twins...THe castle is now just too darned expensive to me ....

Wow! You are a trooper. I would just retreat to bed and feel sorry for myself! for everything being all better soon!

My tree is down but the rest of the decorations are still up. I'll gradually take them down over the course of this week. Your right the house does look empty when the decorations are put away!

Have fun making your ADRs! That is always exciting for me!

Mom has a Drs. appt. today. The Nurses have been sporadic at best.
Then back to work tonight!!!! YIPPPPPPPPPPPPPIE FINALLY some R&R!




It's not EZ being a Pioneer woman in 2008, even though you have indoor plumbing! I have this thing in my house called a THERMOSTAT. Its really nice....I set it for a how hot or cold I want it and whoooooola the Heat or A/C comes up!

Our tentative leaving date for February is Friday Feb 22 or Sat the 23rd.

Oops sorry Cally but I just realized that I told you the wrong dates.

We are actually leaving the Friday or Saturday before this date, the 15th or 16th of February.

The flying competition is the 23rd/24th.

I'll take the whole week to dismantle all my Christmas decos...laundry day here too. I finished my MILs resume for her this am. She just needed to type the details (for practice on Word) and I tweaked it and printed it for her.

The buses are back so I guess the neighborhood kids here are back in school...

I unburied my exercise machine, we cleaned out the back porch while John was home. He's back to work today.

Rose is back at WDW in February too, for ESPN weekend tho. I think that's at the end of the month~

will most likely take me the rest of the week to put all the decorations away as well...tree is down & out & cut up for the recycling guys tomorrow a.m....that was probably most important...

Cally - stick with that exercise routine for a month or better yet till Roger comes home - then see if you could even give it up.....by then you'll probably be hooked on it!!! Have to say adding the pool session to my routine was pretty nice...had the WHOLE thing to myself....well there's never too many people there at 4 am - a few more by 5 - but not in the pool.....

Some bad news today. Everything on da muddas leg is good...except her middle toe on her right foot! Not lookin good. They will probably have to amputate it, however we wont know till next friday! jeez!

Lucky for her its not her middle finger! Cause that is still needed!

well DU with 'nuttin' go on at work....you can finally get some some well deserved R&R....but so sorry to hear about Ma's toe not doing too good....
hope ya all have a great day...we are busy at work trying to close December & the year - then have to set up everything for this year....the season won't start for at least another monthn - 6 wks....which is a good thing....need this time to get files ready etc. Had thought i would do some of it over the holidays....but didn't so have lots to do there everyday....but off to the gym for now.....

Did you see in Plant City, Florida (another strwberry producing town) it was 24 degrees this morning! Here it is a balmy -2 right now! Guess that's why we don't get strawberries until June!

Cleaning day again here...more dechristmasizing and a bit-o-dusting...

It's FREEZING here! I have barely been outside in the last 24hours~I may have to go tonight but it's ok cause it's to go out to dinner with hubby. My sis gave us a GC to our favorite local restaurant

Rose is already bugging about vacation in August!!

I need to know if anyone here is interested in joining us in NC??? We are going from 8-9 to 8-23. We will pick the size of the house according to how many are coming down. The only thing she MUST have this year is beach front. We are hoping to get a pool and hot tub too but those aren't mandatory. We will also bring the dogs as usual (my two and her one at least.)

DU keep us posted on Dismama's toe Why do you have to wait so long?

Cause I have to meet with her GP & Lung Dr first!...and then get with the wound specialist & Vascular surgeon together......This last part will happen on Friday of next week.

Also her mind is going ver fast here. getting bad

Before christmas, I was wrappin presents one night and she went into the bathroom, and sat in the tub....BUT couldnt get out! I had to go in (WITH MY EYES VERY VERY VERY VERY closed) and lift her up to the Shower chair. YUKKKKKKKK!
Also she MUST ask "what time is it" literally 10 times every minute. She is doing les & less for herself.
She also reads TV guide ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY long....dont actually watch anything though.
But I dont know if thats because I was home the past two weeks and she was feeling sorry for herself or what????? But it has got much worse since I was off, and she had the procedure.
Not too mention the CONSTANT KVETCHING about the same things(some even from 50-60 years ago),...over and over and over ...and over

NOOOOOOOOOOOW as for Pop. he keeps on putting stuff (i dont know what he is cookin up...it stinks)on the stove, then going into the living room and falling asleep. (at least we have electric stove) or doing very strange (stranger then usual) things.
Keeps fallin asleep in his chair (my old favorite chair) and spills coffe all over himself...and the rug (that I have to steam clean every 2 weeks)

At night we leave wee wee pads in the hallway for the 18 year old dog (oiy) So today my dad put a used wee wee pad back in the box with the new ones.
And he keeps leaving light cigarettes on the deck!!!!!! (they are in a ashtray...BUT WHEN ITS WINDY OUT, I PANIC)

Fun HUH?????
