I didn't realize how bad Grease was until I started watching it with my young'on

Brenda, I got the new teal satin pillow...I wanted the red one but that never made it to the clearance racks I think Will is cute and all but I like me some Johnny~

YA KNOW I LOVE MY Johnny too....so i was kind of surprised when she got me the Will Turner pillow...but they look good together.....i didn't even know there were new teal pillows...hummmm- i was on the Disney shopping website yesterday...LOTS & LOTS of good buys!!!!

Pac Sun is a surf & skate shop type of store...lots of very cool stuff!!!

i didn't do anything yesterday except watch movies....feeling much better - not 100% but waaaayyyy better!!!

DS is up (well he hasn't gone to bed all night...he was playing online XBox all night long...so his plan is to stay up all day & go to bed early tonite Guess i'll go watch "A Night at the Roxbury" with him....i tivo'd it yesterday

Cally - National Treasure is GREAT!!!! I still want to go see Book of Secrets....so probably tomorrow will feel like going...

I am happy to announce that 1 week from today, my MIL will be on a plane to Florida for the winter!

THis is a long MIL rant, feel free to skip ahead to more interesting posts!

I made the silly mistake of mentioning, last Saturday, that MIL has been pretty good lately! Unfortunately I forgpt to knock on wood!

The very next day, she was picking up my BIL at the airport. SHe called us at 12:30 to say she was leaving for the airport, which is an hour away. At about 4:00 she called and told DD(12) that she "had arrived". I wasn't home at the time. When I got home DD told me Grandma and Uncle Steve are home. Made sense to me. SHe left at 12:30, outs her in ALbany at about 1:30. Totally reasonable to figure they would be home by 4:00. At 4:30 MIL calls again, I answer the phone and she tells me that my BIL is here. I tell her "I know, the kids told me you were home". She says how the heck could we be home already, his plane didn't land until 4:00. I was calling to let you know I was at the airport". I said "oh the kids thought you were home." SHe actually said "You're kids are so dense!" I replied, "well that's a nice thing to say about your grandchildren". SHe just laughed. SHe gets giddy when BIL is home. He is the golden child. Then she told me she and BIL would get a bite to eat at a restaurant and then would drive home and they would talk to us sometime tomorrow. That's her way of saying that BIL is hers that night and we shouldn't even bother calling to tell him hello. SHe made the call when he was off getting his luggage. I was fuming!!!! PITA that she is she has never called my kids names before!

A few minutes later the phone rings. It's MIL letting us know that BIL doesn't want to eat in ALbany. He wants to drive home and have dinner at a little Pizza place that is on their way home and is about 2 minutes from our house...and he wants us to meet them there so he can see us! I told DH to go with the girls and that He could give BIL a big hug for me and tell MIL that I was too busy wrapping presents to break for dinner. I was afraid of what I might say to her.

MILs sister gave MIL a digital photo frame for Christmas and asked my DH to get some pictures together to put in the frame. I have tons of great family pictures including several great pictures we took when we visited her in FLorida last Easter. Unfortunately I don't have digital pictures of BIL as he is only here once a year at most, and I only see him one day of that time. I didn't think to take any pics of BIL on CHristmas as I was in the kitchen all day. (I admit I was avoiding MIL, because I was still mad). If I had even thought of it, I would have taken pictures with the whole family, MIL with the girls, MIL with DH, BIL and girls etc. Could've set up the tripod and the timer and taken a family portrait. Well last night DH goes to MILs to watch the game with BIL. APparently MIL gave DH a really hard time, because she doesn't have pics of BIL to put in frame. DH told her "take out your camera and take pictures of him now. I'll take pics of you 2 if you want, you can take pics of me and BIL, we can put it on timer and take pics of the three of us". She says no she wanted pictures of BIL with my girls and we should have taken those pictures on Christmas. Her sister told her DH would do that on CHrstmas. Apparently her sister has suggested she ask DH to do this, but she never mentioned it to us. MIL didn't even bring her camera on Christmas.


I told DH this morning that he shopuld invite MIL and BIL to dinner today. BIL goes home in the morning. Apparently, as this is her last day with the golden child, they won';t be coming over here, because she wants hiom all to herself. What a nut job!


Sorry! Had to vent. She is driving me crazy. Carry on!

Your MIL sounds a very lot like mine

She once basically called my daughter a "street walker" because she slept on the same bed in our camper with her boyfriend.

It was the table that made into a bed and her dad and I were sleeping on the bunk that is right next to that table. I could literally move my foot and kick the boy if I wanted to They were in separate sleeping bags. I didn't think it was a big deal myself.

The above mentioned grandparents were also in the camper sleeping in the other bunk.

Said how could we allow our daughter to sleep with her boyfriend. If they broke up every boy at school would be at our door wanting to go out with her

I also have a BIL like yours. Lives only 4 hours away but only comes home a few days a year. MIL likes to keep him to herself too as much as she can. Except that she only serves decaf coffee, so he likes to come to our house to get his caffeine fix

PD's girls stayed over night..it's 11:15 a.m. and we are haveing trouble getting PD's dd12 out of bed. PD is bringing the girls ice skating today....right now she's my favorite sister.

Yeah, I know.

Mine always tries to make her putdowns sound nice.

Showed her a flower garden I made once. She says.... oh,how pretty but you are going to have to keep the weeds out of there

or..... when we get to so and so's house, I'm sure they'd appreciate it if we took our shoes off at the door

Now I never take my shoes off at home because I just like to wear my shoes all the time but I also always take my shoes off when I go into someone elses house unless I know in advance that it is okay not to (like at my mom's house)

I can think of a ton of them

I just let her talk and ignore whatever she says

On the other hand I try to be very careful what I say to my kids and their mate of choice at the time. I don't want to treat my kids the way my MIL treats us.

So to everyone with mother in law or even mother troubles. You are definitely not alone.

I suppose you could always examine every single slot machine in the place before you decide which one to use.

Tell your friend that you are waiting for one to "talk" to you before you put any money in it

Then decide after a few tries that you need to move on to a different machine.

OR

You could tell him that you MUST put a coin into every single machine in the building

PD~ Sorry to hear about your MIL ... I gots one too I'm learning to deal tho'...or should I say... NOT deal... Lately I only see her on special occasions and holidays... and she only lives like 5mins from us.

okay heres my venting story... please feel free to pass if you have better things to do...

I'm so mad at Tmobile!!!!!!!!! So I'm looking at the bill...and I noticed we were charged for text messaging... We had free text messages on our plan so I decided to call them ask...

Well the dude on the phone (this is after I give all my info and SS#'s) tells me he can't discuss the bill with me because I'm not the primary account holder and I wasn't added as an authorized user!!!!!

Now this is not the first time we've had this problem. AS I've had to call them numerous times before to discuss the bill.

The first and 2nd time was cool... okay handed the phone over to Roger so he could add me.... The 3rd time I was quite annoyed that they still didn't have me as an authorized user after Roger added me twice before!!!

Okay now THIS time I am LIVID!!!!! Not only is this the 4th time they are telling me I WAS NOT added as an authorized user But Roger is OUT Of the country so I can't just hand him the phone.....

The dude on the phone tells me it's a recent law that has been changed...so as of NOV if he didn't add you then we can't discuss the bill with you...

Okay, it's the law... but how am I suppose to know every time they change the law...were they going to tell me????????

He goes on to say... Well, if you watch the news you would know this ... He then says, that's how i found out about it.
I say.. so i'm suppose to watch the news to make sure any of the businesses I deal with change their laws?!?!??!?!

and he says... You need to watch tv.....

It took everything in me to not CURSE his butt off....

So I tell him I would be faxing him a POA

But I don't have a POA because I didn't think I would need a POA ...

It's not a big deal because it's easy for me to get in contact with Roger for stuff like this...

What makes me mad is that this is the 4th time TMO has done this and the dude was just RUDE!!

OK latest update....MIL just calls tro say that when she was at church today BIL booked a flight for tonight at 7:00 instead of his 10:00 am flight tomorrow. She says its cause we're going to have a big storm (3 inches of snow is not a big storm in NY) and he won't be able to get out of the airport. (We flew out of Albany once when we had 18 inches of snow and it was still falling) But DH and I know he's just ready to get oput of her house. ANyway DH asked if she took any pictures of BIL. SHe says no, when have I had time for that? He's been living at her house for a week!!!!! They are leaving for the airport at 2:00. His flight is not until 7pm. Only an hour to get to the airport. She says there is no time to take pictures between now and 2:00! I guess it's important to get to the airport 4 hours before the flight! Anway DH just grabbed the camera and said I'm going over there to take some pictures so I don't have to hear about this for the rest of my life! Oh I can't wait until next Sunday!
