Would you believe I FINALLY had time to sit & chat last night...AND THE BOARDS WERE DOWN! (cant win)

for PD' middle DD. Its tough being sick on your Bday.

Speaking of Bday's. It was my friend Bob's BIG 50th the other day. Tommorrow night he is having a suprise party. It is my job to get him out of the house in the afternoon. Now he thinks his horseshoe buddies are coming over on Sunday night for a few beers...so the basement needs to be cleaned up. Which it is.

I am telling him that I will take him out to lunch & gambling for his Bday Sunday afternoon...IT IS MY ONLY CHANCE...until Valentines day...and if we go then the neighbors will talk .

HE WONT GO! he keeps telling me that he is busy, he has too clean the basement for Sunday night...(oh yeah i am invited too ) but I cant go, since james will be back from Brooklyn then. (james went to my sisters yesterday)

So now in a PANIC I called his wife...to MAKE him go with me. Sorta like I am at my wits end and NEED to get out NOW. However I am at my wits end...and he is part of the reason. Why his wife told him Sunday night to have his horseshoe friends over...I dunno....that was dumb!

So is this the basement you helped finish? That wasn't so long ago. Ask him why the heck it is so messy already? Tell them they are horseshoe buddies....they will not care if the basement is a bit messy! If all esle fails, you can go help him clean up today...cause I know you aren't busy!

Our Xmas tree & decorations are still up - tree is still taking water.....which is a GOOD thing! DD & DBF get home tomorrow night...so we're having Christmas with them on the 30th...won't take tree & decorations down till 31st or 1st....

No he is OLD now. And knows that if he goes out with me in the afternoon....he will want to nap or got to bed early that night!!!!

Me & james will probably watch the Twilight Zone marathon! ..and make little hot dogs in blankets.....that is James ONLY request all year!

Morning all!

My poor middle DD (who I will mention by dis name for DU) WinniethePooh93 had planned all week that we would go ice skating on her birthday yesterday, got a terrible head cold. On top of that she has sports induces asthma so we couldn't go skating for her birthday! We did go out to lunch and then shopping at the mall with gift cards that the girls got for Christmas. Later we went to dinner at her favorite restaurant, it's a great Japanese place (DU your friend's would love it ).

We were going to have her birthday cake and ice cream when we got home. but she didn't want it. SHe went to bed at 8:30 and said that we'd have her cake today instead. Poor thing. Today all the girls are supposed to go to the movies with my BIL. He lives in Chicago and they only see him once a year. He's that wonderful sort of Uncle. He is single, no kids so he absolutely dotes on his neices. He blows into town, spoils them rotten for a week, and heads back to CHicago for a year. RIght now she says she feels to sick to go with them to the movies. SHe also is supposed to go to a teen New Years dance at the YMCA tonight and I bet she'll end up skipping that too. I think we jinxed her. Earlier in the week we were talking about how someone in the family is always sick on her birthday!

We'll go iceskating for her birthday next weekend instead, but it's more fun to do things on your actual birthday.

Goodmorning PD...So sorry about Winnie. I feel terrible for her. Ofcourse she probably caught that cold from our Family. DD11(figment) and I were up half the night coughing last night. Matter of fact, she's still sleeping and I just got up at 10:00. Give Winnie a hug for me and tell her I hope she feels better.

What are your BIL and the other two girls going to see at the movies?

They are seeing National Treasure. Winnie stayed home. SHe is eating tons today tho. She's hoping to feel better for the dance at the Y tonight. Can TotP go?

Tonight I have Aquamarine set to record, I haven't seen it yet. Wonder if it's any good.

I didn't realize how bad Grease was until I started watching it with my young'on

I'm just waiting for Dante to ask me why they smoke and drink in high school and all that other bad stuff

I'm prepared to tell him that back in the day they didn't know how bad it was for you And that these days we know a lot more... and are a lot smarter!

We went out shopping... again...

The kids still had their Pac Sun cards to use and I wanted some pants from Old Navy. I had to go to two of them before I found what I was looking for.

Yesterday I spent four hours in a mall in PA looking for an outfit for NYE. Alls I came out with (for the outfit) was a sequined camisole top from Express. Mind you, because of my latex allergy, I cannot wear any polyester. If it aint natural, I can't wear it. (There are few exceptions, like wool-I can't wear wool.) Most of that time was spent checking the materials in button down blouses, jackets and sweaters. As I finished the last store in the mall, I realized I still have a red sequined jacket I can wear from my Christmas cruise two years ago

I was going to settle for black jeans. NEITHER old navy had black jeans in my size. I checked the dress pants and for the first time in two days found a pair made of 98% cotton! That fit! (and were half off.)
