Robin, you reminded me of a particular 'season', when my Dad came home and saw Mom's 'masterpieces', and he was amazed and asked her how she did that?!?! I'm serious, HE was serious. :p I laughed so hard at him!

My baking has even branched off into those break & bake cookies, those are yummy, too. ::yes:: ;)

DD & I are both not feeling well. I left work early, I was shivering from feeling cold, and yet my face was really hot. I think DD spiked a fever tonight also. We have 4 ineffective thermometers. I can usually tell just by kissing her forehead, but I'm so hot, I can't tell for sure. I gave her Motrin and some cough syrup anyway. Thankfully, we're both off tomorrow, but there goes our shopping plans. :(

You've sure got your hands full, Ann. I pray your Dad is well enough to be released tomorrow, and he has a speedy recovery.

Hiya Brer_Papa!! How have you been? I did get to see the Headless Horseman! I was worried at first though. The first parade they announced that he would not be making an appearance because it had just rained and the ground was too wet and slippery :( BUT by the second parade the ground dried up and we did get to see the Headless Horseman! I must say it was pretty darn cool!!

The parade itself was cool!! I liked when the dancin zombie looking guys w/ the shovels were scrapping the grounds and making sparks fly everywhere!!!!

It was pretty crowded but surprisingly we got to walk onto all the rides except for 2, Peter Pan which we waited about 10mins and Haunted Mansion which was about a 15 to 20 min wait. Which is not bad at all!!!

We had a great trip. We got to do alot of new things. We had our first character meal. We ate at the Garden Grill (love the moving floor)and had a great time there. Our last day we had dinner at Crystal Palace!!! Love the dessert bar!!!! oh my goodness love the dessert bar!!!!!! Did I mention the dessert bar??? Oh my goodness!

So I'm ready to plan our next trip. LOL... DH wants to stay at Port Orleans. I don't care where we stay as long as we get to go again. :hyper:

we made reservations for the All American BBQ....for a thursday that we're @ WDW....

DS is supposed to be getting our MVMCP tix....so...I'm not sure which night we're going there...except I know it's not Thursday...

so....my question is:...after going to MNSSHP....would you go to the Christmas Party?

Of course I would go. I would not turn down anything Mickey. However, December is a pretty tight month for us. I'm sure we will make the Christmas Party eventually though. Maybe when the kids are older. We're planning on going back next year. Let's see, DH deploys in Jan and will be back June. We have a trip planned to Alaska in June (my parents live there) and I'm trying to plan our trip for August time frame. Ughhh, I know it's going to be HOT :(

Oh I forgot to ask...where is the American BBQ???

Can I come???

Hope you have a great time. Will it be your first at MVMCP?

:wave2: Ann, I am doing much better with the glasses now. I think I have pretty much adjusted to them. At least I have not had a headache this afternoon and evening which is an improvement.

No PrincessaC, I have not seen that movie. Is it a newer one or an old one? I don't watch a whole lot of movies. Every now and then something catches my attention but my husband is more the movie watcher than me.

I wish you could come and see the show too. There will be performances from 9 different dance studios/organizations. It will be interesting to see what the other groups will be doing.

My daughter will be dancing in 2 different numbers, one is the partners dance and the other is with the competitive dance team which is made up of about 16 kids from ages 9 to 18.

 Dalpal, catch you in the morning. Enjoy your telelvision.

Kim, I hope that you guys feel better soon. I have found that I prefer the old fashioned kind of thermometer over the new digital ones. The old ones work much better and are more accurate I think. I had a hard time finding one awhile back but then they came out with thermometers without the mercury in them.

It is kind of hard to kiss your own forehead to see if you have a fever isn't it ::yes:: I find the kiss the forehead method to work pretty well too.

Brer_Papa, you will have to go and ask PrincessAriel if you can have a cookie. It is a long drive for me to bring you a cookie, by then you will need a truckload of cookies to save yourself from starvation :teeth: Besides we are not really big on cookies in this house. A package of cookies can literally sit on a shelf for 6 months until I finally throw them away.

PrincessaC.....

the All American BBQ is a bffet feast held at Fort Wilderness....an outdoor venue....food similar to that served at the Hoop Dee Doo Review....

they scale back the BBQ's at this time of year....that's why we just took a night and wil plan around it....

i think this will be our 6th MVMCP....lol...we're hooked...

most f our trips have been in December over the years....so...it's always worked out...plus...the bonus of seeing WDW decorated...WOW!!

We've never gone in August....i suspect it wil be hot..

Hi Kim!

was fun last night.....good to see MamaJoan too....

Hey Hollynn!

best wishes with your Dad....justgettin back from your trip...tending your Dad...

take care my Friend....

that's the official explanation I give to any neighbors catching me with me binoculars anyway.....

PrincessaC......we stayed at Port Orleans....before the name change... so...it wasn't Dixie Landings...

anyway...we loved it...WishingStar & I were talking about that trip earlier tonight....

what a coincidence..::yes::

we made great memories for sure there...

in fact...I was telling her...me and her kids were playing the "I'm at WDW and..." game....

we give hints about something until someone guesses correctly....

I was giving hints about Port Orleans....and her litle guy...age 7 now...guessed it....and described the pool slide to a tee...

he was 2 and 1/2 when we were there...

that's something eh?

Is that Spanish Brer_Papa????

The only Spanish I know is from Sesame Street ;)

But amazingly whatever language it is I think I can figure out what it says.

Patience my friend, some day I will give you a cookie ;) . Some day when you least expect it ::yes:: . Until that day you will have to dream of the cookie that I will give to you.

Oh by the way, thanks for the song.:charac2: and the lovely foreign words .

(Is that how you say cookie in Spanish???????????????????)

And I am trying very hard to help you get to the end of the year :p

I keep my bincoulars on the kitchen counter. I use them to watch the birds at the birdhouses::yes:: .

since we have no neighbours behind us, there is not much else to watch but ..... the birds ..... the cars going by on the road wayyy beyond the field .......... the crops growing in the field........ the fish in the pond ...... Really exciting stuff ::yes::

anyhoo..."Honey" is a fairly new movie. Not that new but it isn't old if that makes sense... I would call it a kid's movie...your daughter may enjoy it. It's about dancing hip hop.....

It sounds like it would be very beautiful at WDW during Christmas. I know I will see it one day. Sooner or later.

Click on quote, like you did, and in the reply box, just delete what you don't want to quote. In other words, you can edit someone's quote. ;) Hope that helps. :D

Just make sure that you leave the part at the end with the word quote in it totally intact including the brackets.

If you want to check how it looks, delete what you don't want and then go down and click on the box next to submit reply which is preview reply.

Then you can see exactly how your post will look when you post it. If it is not right then you can just hit back and start over again until you make it the way you want it to be.

Give it a try and see how it works ::yes::

Good morning everyone!:sunny:

Cruisin,....Good Morning!
Everyone ...........Good Morning!
It looks like it is going to be alittle warmer today:teeth: ....This is good ::yes::
I didnt end up watching CSI NY........I found a Bio on Johnny Depp....I know he is only alittle older then my sons......But He is just so nice to look at! It was a choice between watching CSI gore......or J.Depp...My eyes chose JD:teeth: I have to say he picked some very odd movies to be in through out his career....

Can you believe that squirrel thread is still going!
...

PrincessaC: When my PC goes awry at home, I'm always told it was "not me," I see not me likes to visit your house too! lol.
...

Cruisin: Tell your DD to "break a leg" for me...it's nice when they get involved but even more gratifying when they give back. Just proves you're raising your kids right!
...

HollyAnn: :wizard: Here's some pixie dust for your Dad, hope he feels better soon. I must congratulate your on your commitment to your dieting. It's already enough of a challenge without throwing holidays into the mix, eh?
...

DalPal: Hmmmm:scratchin, CSI NY :crazy2: or Johhny Depp pirate: , I would have made the same choice! I saw some of CSI NY last night, that show is pretty gross.
...

KimRaye: I guess it's your turn, hope you and your DD feel better soon.
...

BP: You are too much! Rabbit mixing, spicy jelly beans & squirrel nuggets & cookies. Sounds like a menu from h***. Your poor stomach!
...

---Well, gotta get some work done---
See y'all in the funny papers!

that is too funny

Hi everyone! Dad is out of the hospital. It was touch and go for a few hours as he kept getting sick. A couple of shots later and he did okay. He's resting comfortably.

Watching Survivor, then CSI, so I've only got a few minutes during commercials. It looks like the pumpkin cheesecake will be yummy! Instead of a regular crust, the crust is walnuts. I'll let you know. The Low-Carb bread is toasted for the stuffing and I'm set to cook tomorrow!

C-ya! A
