GREAT posts today everyone! I loved reading them! I'm especially glad I re-read Ann's post about the 2006/2007 change because I probably would have had to say no, since my whole family is going to WDW together in 2006 when my Dad retires. Although, it probably won't make much difference which year, as he's paying for everything! :hyper: So, as much as I have never really considered a cruise, of any kind, I would LOVE to join YOU GUYS on a Disney cruise, FOR SURE!!!!! :boat: :cool1: Adults only? Time of year DIScussed at all? Just wondering about the kiddos, although DS will be 20 by then (OUCH!), and probably wouldn't join us anyway. :(

Happy Anniversary Ann & Tom!!! (married him Twice??) I hope you take 2 "NAPS" in honor of the occasion! ;)

:bday: :cake: Princess Ariel!

Do I SING, Ann? :earseek: Oh My, NO! :sad2: Like BP described, I'm the lady in curlers, lip-synching the WRONG words even! :o Talking with you two was the highlight of my day, especially since I forgot, and just :rotfl: & :rotfl: about whether I knew a Hollyann or not! It was really hysterical, on my end anyway. You both sounded so happy and friendly, like we've known each other for ages. :grouphug: It was the BEST DISer(s) phone call, and most fun, that I've ever received! :teeth:

(So far, so good on the Gremlins tonight BP. I guess your expletives were MUCH BETTER than mine! :earseek:  :earseek: )

:p

Hi Kim! I'd take any song you chose to sing. Remember, I karaoke with the sisters!

Glad that the cruise can work out for you. I wrote 2006 and remembered we talked about a couple of years from now. As I told BP earlier, 2007 works better for me - I've gotta save my pennies! It was great talking to you, too. It would be SO cool if we could all meet!

As for kids on the cruise - I don't care! Bring 'em, don't bring 'em - whatever! I understand the cruise lines has great service and you can get away from the kiddies if you need to! With this crazy group - there will be enough "kids"!

It was funny about you not remembering me! I almost said "Ann" rather than "Hollyann". I wonder what type of reaction that would have gotten!

BTW, it's early, but....................
Happy Birthday Princess Ariel!!!

I hope you have a GREAT day, PA and that BrerPapa treats you like a queen! You've got a special one there, so I know he'll spoil you today! (actually tomorrow - it's still the 24th!).

I went online, because I wanted to PM Cruisin and tell her what a wonderful time I had, but saw that the threadkillers were on, so I replied here. I hope she's going to be okay with Jeanne headed our way. She seemed MUCH less worried than I was. She's laid back and so cool! I had such fun meeting her! Can't wait for the next time!

Well, I'll scoot so I can PM her....I'll check back later!

Darn it............I always forget the smilies............:D

Never underestimate the power of a well laced "shazbot" or "prczbyt" when you need to....

Hi Kim!

Glad to see you and gladder you are gremlin free.....

aside to the gremlins: don't make me put my evil eye on you.....

anyway.....PA says thanks for the BD wishes....it surprised her you did...

I say "Thanks Kim for surprising her"....cool! :cool1:

well....2007 then? maybe? we'll have some fun planning....

just don't tell me we're going on the "Wonder" and i find out you guys are going on the "Magic"...

since you guys started taking "brat" lessons ...I've been on my toes....all hairy 10 of them.....

dang....we should be able to even have the same seatings at the restaurants...

of course...if I'm on the "Wonder"....i could call you'se...

and...there's so much to do!

animation classes....Comedy Improv! <~~~ that'll be a blast....we could do a skit...holy kay-rap! that'll be fun...

OH! the shows! one word summation? SPECTACULAR!

Castaway Cay.....oh heck....so much to do!

Once Cruisin' :boat: gets back...she can fill us in on a lot...she's been on more cruises than me....

hmmm...my mind wanders....

my mind is back on track.....

as far as asking "adults only"? ...doesn't matter to me....even if I don't now at the moment if kids or Grandkids would be available....

BUT..one thing that does cross my mnd is: at least you could all meet Ernie and his DW....maybe a supper out before the cruise?

something to think about.....

I promise not to juggle the silverware or place settings....

well....now I'm going to put my thinking cap on....

comedy skit.....hmmmm.....

Ooh.....that would be cool! We'd finally get to see what Santa & Mrs. Claus Jr. look like! Dinner with them would be wonderful. Do you really think we could all dine together on the ship? How cool would that be?

Skits...........I'm in! I love to do that stuff! Not shy about it at all, although used to be so shy I had a stutter when I was a tyke! You make 'em up, and I'll be there! Tom - he'll be with Princess Ariel shaking his head asking "why me?"

I never thought about different cruise lines. We'll definetly have to make sure we're all on the same ship! We wouldn't leave you behind BrerPapa. While the Disney shows may be spectacular - do they have a one man band? Hhmmmm....

Darn it! Forgot the smilies again!

Aaaaaw....thank you too HollyAnn for the BD wishes to PA.... :cloud9:

(Do you think Ozzie had such good friends to help spoil Harriet?)

dang! I have to eat my words about you guys taking "brat" lessons....

I don't like crow!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

did you see the post about a squirrel in the house?

I was going to PM them the McNugget recipe....but....discretion being the better part of valor....i thought not........

Note to self: When calling Kim....use "Brer_Papa"...and not my given name "Cadwallader"....

I hope Jeane leaves Forida alone....enough is enough....

PSST! Hey Lurkers....

we might need some people to sing the "Doo-Wops" on a cruise night karaoke fest....sign up early....sign up often.....

Hmmm, reconsidering now. I make a GREAT spectator!

Ok, gotta go iron-on DD's Brownie patches for her meeting in the AM. I'll be back, hopefully successful.

Kim, I don't know how to put an "X" in a quoted posted, so I'll just put my two cents worth it. I'm with her....Cruisin, we're making really LONG POSTS. I hope your eyes can take it!

Don't worry about not doing a skit, Kim.....in order to be a performer, you need an audience! That way if we totally bomb, at least you, Tom & PA will give us the "polite" clap out of love and tender feelings!

Heck, I'll even sing the Marilyn Monroe Birthday song to ya'll! Do you think Marilyn had a southern accent? You heard my voice....I really don't have too much of an accent, but I THINK in southern speak - therefore, I TYPE in southern speak!

Hope the brownie patch goes well. BP, do they even HAVE karaoke on the ship? If so, we'll sing a duet. Maybe "We Are Family" by the Pointer Sisters. You can be the tall hairy-toed sister!

ETA: Doggonnit! I forgot the smilies AGAIN!

Ya know, I didn't even think of it until you just mentioned it, but no, I didn't really pick up an accent from either of you. Now please don't tell me I had one!

Ann, you can type IN the quote. I just added the [ U ] [ /U ] (without the spaces) so my X would look like it belonged. ;)

Brownie patches are on, for how long, I'm not sure. I'll ask Mom to sew the edges tomorrow, for safety's sake. ;)

Another song I just LOVE for DIS-related stuff is You've Got a Friend in Me, from Toy Story. Just LOVE IT!!!

Smilies for Ann: :teeth: :wave2: :hyper: :sunny: :earsboy: :smooth: :earsgirl:  :p :) ;) :cloud9: :cool1: :goodvibes

Hi everyone! I'm remembering smilies! :D :D

Kim, thanks for the smilies last night!

Well, we're busy getting all the little stuff done for Hurricane Jeanne. It's expected to make landfall late tonight. While we're further north than the landfall point, it's cloudy, very breezy and we're expecting rain any time.

I sure hope Cruisin is okay in Orlando. They may get hurricane force winds tonight! She's in my thoughts!

Well, ya'll take care and I'll see you around campus!

Hi HollyAnn & Kim & BP & Cruisin ( and all lurkers & those that also drop by on a regular basis)

I was great to hear from you guys on Thrus. I went around telling everyone "I got a call from MY castle today" :Pinkbounc princess:
But no one got it, they just thought I was
or that Disney wanted more money for my up coming trip;)

Ann- I didn't hear an accent but I also LOVE Southern Accents.
As for me having a musical voice?? I love to sing but I'm not very good, I have this hearing thing happenning...I sing ok if I'm beside people who can sing great (so I'm OK in a choir) but if someone is sing off key...guess what I start singing off key. yes I know that's strange but true.

As requested: <bgsound src="http://www.tripletsandus.com/disney/midi/toystory.mid">

BTW-BP I haven't found the "laughing place" yet

....4th hurricane in 6 weeks....

I'm not gonna sugar coat t...I'm concerned about Cruisin' :boat: and Rick and HollyAnn & Tom....

I'm not sure what Cruisin's :boat: flight plans were...I do know the parks are closed....and the airport's been closed....

nor do I know if she can get online to let us know they're riding it out OK...
I doubt she can get online....

power outages an the like must be taken into account as well....

so HollyAnn might not be able to get online....

PLUS....i'm sure they have their hands full with the hurricane anyway....

but i did want them all to know we set here and worry for them....and pray all is well....

stay safe my beloved friends.....

We heard from Ernie yesterday....he is doing storm rideout duty....

that's comforting....it REALLY is...

he's safer where he is than if he and his DW were staying home....

he expected to be there most the day yesterday, all night last nght and probably all day today...maybe even tonight....

he'll call again when he can....

if not by my when my inner timetable says he should call.......then he knows the drill.... i'll email his cel phone....that is a great hint....

I sure wish Cruisin' :boat: & HollyAnn all the best through this....and hope to hear from them at the earliest possible time.....

Hi BrerPapa & all the Threadkillers!

I tried and tried to get on-line last night - no luck. Jeanne is headed further west and it looks like we'll escape the worst of it. We're expecting ours this afternoon!

Like you, I'm VERY worried about Cruisin, Rick, Ernie & DW.......Orlando is taking a beating. I didn't know if they were able to make it out safely or if they're riding the storm out. Hopefully, they're okay and we'll hear from them soon.

Right now, I'm getting my 70's fix - watching the Brady Bunch marathon.....gotta love the Brady's!

I'm going to scoot now. It's almost noon and I want to do some cooking in case we lose power. Take care and thanks for your well wishes!

Edited to Add: I left a voice mail on Cruisin's cell phone to let her know that all the threadkillers were thinking of her and to call if she can.

Hi everyone! Guess what?! I talked to Cruisin - she and Rick are fine. She said it's not raining too hard right now and she actually slept through most of it - can you believe it?! She said looking out her window she can see three or four downed trees.

The restaurants were closed in Pop Century, so they managed to scrounge a loaf of bread, peanutbutter & jelly. So they are set for the day.

She doesn't know if the airport is going to be open so she can fly home tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed!

SO glad to hear she's okay!

Thank you HollyAnn!!

Whew! What a releif!

PA & I were away most of the day yesterday....so, Kids & Grandkids were over today to celebrate her BD....

right now....is the first chance I had to get here....

I am glad all of you weathered the storm!

Hmmmm....Cruisin' :boat: slept through most of it?

Dare I say it?

I dare!

Cruisin' :boat: took a "nap" during a hurricane?

oooooh...the quips I coud say....

but...I'll behave....

Anyway.....I hope their flight plans go smoothly....and they arrive home safe and hassle-free....

Thanks again HolyAnn! You're too cool! "cool1:

Oh, thank you Ann, for posting about Robin and yourself! I kept thinking as this approached, that I had one more TK to worry about this time! :( Not a comfort, let me tell you, but hearing from you - IS! ::yes:: Thank you, and please continue to stay safe, and in touch, when you can! BP, it's also comforting to know that Ernie & DDIL are safe at WDW! Thank God! Prayers for all those others affected by Jeanne tho. So sad watching the news earlier. :(

On a lighter note, literally ;) .....check out this thread if you have a minute..... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=651672 :wave2: , and please read the public apology as well. :o

Hope you have a great week everyone!! :sunny:

Good to see all All I have to say tonight is  :wave2:

Glad to see all is doing good

Good morning all! Glad to see all the threadkillers seem to be safe and sound. This has been quite a memorable month!

BP...how'd we do this weekend? I squeeked in another win but it was too close for comfort! I'm in serious trouble next weekend because of Seattle's bye. (I have S. Alexander and K. Robinson!!) My back-ups seem to be questionable at best and I'm playing the league owner next!!

Everyone have a good day and try to keep dry!! :umbrella:

Good almost afternoon everyone!

First off - Happy, happy birthday Snow Angel! I have on my calendar that it's your birthday today! I took a page from Cruisin's book and wrote it down!

I was unable to get on-line last night as we lost power. It came on about 20 minutes ago. I would have come on right away to say hello to the threadkillers, but I was busy dumping yogurt, mayonnaise, cottage cheese & sour cream down the garbage disposal.

We put ice bags in the freezer, so we didn't lose anything from that. Showers are next!

Some of our neighbors lost their trees and LOTS of people lost electricity, but we weathered the storm okay.

BP, hope to hear from Ernie & DDIL soon. I hope Cruisin is able to fly out today as well. It's been a bad hurricane season - hopefully it's over now.

Ya'll take care!

:wave2: , Guess who's back from the land of sunshine and hurricanes!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

I sure missed you guys!!!

I just got finished reading all of the posts from when I left until now. I had some good chuckles out of lots of them::yes::

Our flight was supposed to leave this morning at 11:45am but the airport was closed until noon. They were letting people in the terminals and checking in and security checks and stuff but the planes were not flying yet. We actually got off the ground at 1:30 pm, because our plane was coming in from New York. So 4 1/2 hours from take off to our driveway at home. Not too bad, although I had to call the airline a few times yesterday and this morning trying to figure out what was going to happen.

WOW, where to start?????

First it was the biggest highlight of my trip to be able to meet Ann and Tom. What a great time we had at lunch together. We had so much to talk about and phone calls to make ;) that I really don't even know what the inside of the restaurant looks like  Our time together flew by sooooo fast :( .

A lot of the time our husbands were just looking at us like we were  women ( I remember Tom, just shaking his head at us), especially when we were talking on the phone to KimRaye and MaMudduck. That was also such a treat. I really enjoyed talking to both of you ladies. Sorry I was having trouble hearing you Wendy, maybe I was holding the phone funny  Those phone calls really added to the excitement of the occasion.

I notice that Ann did not tell you the story of the alarm clock mishap :smooth:

Ohhhh Cruisin! Welcome back! We missed you. I TOTALLY forgot about the alarm clock mis-hap!

A WORD OF ADVICE if you want to arrive at Disneyworld in a timely manner. Set your alarm clock for 4:45 AM rather than 4:45 PM !!!!

We made it in time for a quick ride on Pirates and then straight to lunch! BTW, Cruisin, after lunch you said, "someone calle me"....well that was ME! I forgot (getting old, vision's already gone - mind is next!) I was checking to see if you were already inside. When you didn't answer the phone, we checked in and a CM said you were already inside!

Anyway, I don't have the words to tell you how lovely it was to see you!

Oh! Smilies - I remembered smilies! Here they are!:D :p :sunny: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
