I took a 4-1/2 mile walk outside. I had originally planned on going 3 miles, but forgot that the one road didn't go all the way through so I had to walk an extra mile to get to the other road so it ended up being a total of 4-1/2 miles!!
I was tired when I got home an hour and a half later, but I felt GOOD about walking that far. Now I just need to get a better, more supportive pair of walking shoes. Not walking today as it's dreary and rainy, but hopefully I can go 2-3 miles tomorrow.
Walked a half of an hour at lunch time and then did a Jenny Craig toning tape for about 45 minutes in the evening. It is an old tape, about 7 or 8 years old but it is a good start. Once I get in better shape I'll upgrade to something more modern.
After 3 hours on the treadmill Sunday I took it easy and used an old video tape I have called Tonetics. It's supposed to help you tone up, approx. 30 minutes.
Sending you loads of "soreness be gone" pixie dust so you can exercise pain free for the rest of the week!

Yesterday I power walked for 50 minutes in the morning and then lifted weights (triceps) and did push ups (chest) at my parent's house. My Mom is in training (hee hee) so I am acting as her personal trainer to help her shape up. It's so fun to have a workout buddy and to see this 61 year old getting buff and in shape! Her arms have improved so much in 3+ weeks, I am completely blown away.
AND she can do manly man push ups! She can't get all the way down, but she can go about half way down now (the first time she tried the manly-man kind she could hardly bend her arms at all!)
Wow! Way to go, Karen's Mom!! That's really sweet of you to take her under your wings and guide down the health road. Lucky for your Mom, she has such a wonderful WISHer to help her!!
