Who else bought gas today?

I have to fill up every other day, so a day without gas wasn't in the cards for me

I never have figured out what not buying gas for one day is supposed to do, you'll just have to get it the next. Seems like a campaign urging people to use some other form of transportation would be more effective.

MAN, though, I hope prices go down soon! $2/gal here, so that 1/4 of what I earn is now going to gas!

even if "everyone" boycotted buying gas today, what makes anyone think the stations are NOT going to raise the prices yet again??? Instead of going up 2 or 3 cents, they'll just raise the price 5 or 6 cents to make up for "lost profits, lost income, etc.!!" JMO.

I still think it's the Media who is making the prices go up... they keep saying (at this time of year ~ EVERY year) the prices are going to be such & such by Memorial Day or such & such by July 4th... well, of course the gas stations "feel" they can charge these prices, because we have just become "accustomed" to the fact that is what they're going to charge, so that's what we'll have to pay. sorry if this doesn't make sense (or cents for the stations!!)

I bought gas today at 1.999 per gallon. A few hours later it was up to 2.039. Boycotts don't work unless they are for an extended period of time. I needed gas to go pick up DS at college tomorrow!

I put in 10 bucks today because I wasn't going to make it home and that annoying little "tank on empty" light went on. I paid $2.16 per gallon which I think is the cheapest in the area. Since gas has gone up and I'm a poor college student, I've been trying to cut back on using my car...oh its going to be a looooong summer!

I didn't need gas today.
It's $2.14 a gallon here for regular.
