Whispering Canyon

Hi! I'm thinking about booking Whispering Canyon for either lunch or dinner. It will be a party of 5...with 3 children, ages 11,9, and 8. Which would you book and why?

I wouldn't book either. I don't enjoy dining amidst total chaos.

I disagree completely. Whispering Canyon is one of our favorites. We enjoy the humor that is put into the entire meal. The servers picking on you, yelling at you and making you ride the stupid wooden horses. It is like the 50's Prime Time Cafe, you have to go in expecting to be picked on and possibly humiliated...I got to be the Statue of Liberty last time we were there...how fun was that (I had so many straws in my hair)

Anyway, to answer the question, Lunch is a little more subdued than dinner is, they are both fun though. If you are looking for the true Whispering Canyon expereince than it has to be dinner. Don't get me wrong you will still have a great time at lunch (and save some money) but dinner time is when it gets real rowdy

The kids will LOVE it and the food is good.

We have eaten there our last 3 times and have had a wonderful time and a great meal.

I would book an early dinner. There is much more going out. Lunch isn't as busy.

Its a great restaurant if you and your family are into interaction w/ the servers and w/ other dinners. If your on the shy type -- this is NOT for you.

We usually go there for breakfast, which is really pretty good food. My DS loves the pinecone waffles. The kids really love it. They got to race around the dining room on wooden horses and got certificates for completing the race. It's a lot of fun for the whole family. I didn't think it was too rowdy at all. Personally, some of the character meals seem rowdier to me. Just don't ask for ketchup unless you want about 20 ketchup bottles on your table!

We just ate there a few days ago and loved it. The atmosphere was loud but friendly. I noticed the waiter/ress were nice and didn't pick on people as much if they seemed they didn't want it. I was tired that night (just got done with 2yodds full-fledged temper tantrum) and I still liked it. Food was great and wait staff nice

We ate dinner on our recent trip and had an amazing time. There were eleven of us (six adults and five kids). The food was great and the kids had fun yelling for ketchup while standing on their chairs. It's like dinner theater for kids. Definitely not the place for a quiet dinner. Having Lincoln logs to play with at the front while you wait for a table is nice touch too.

I have a PS for lunch at WCC. I have never been there before and have heard some good reviews. Would it be rude to politey mention to my server that I am not interested in all the banter? I would rather observe than participate.

When you check-in with the desk, tell them you'd like to eat at one of the "quiet" tables. These are off to the side, nearest the lobby (actually you can look out at the lobby while you eat). You can watch without participating.

We had lunch at WC on Friday and it was wonderful.....we went over for a respite from the hustle and bustle of MK and really enjoyed the restaurant and the atmosphere of WL.....
