Ok, I've heard great things and bad things about this one. We have some other wonderful ADRs that we'll be making just for the food, so I was using this one as something new because I've heard it's a lot of fun.

Good, bad, opinions? Am I making a horrible mistake with this one, or should I stick with it?? Thanks!

If you haven't tried it and you have little ones who you think might enjoy the antics, then go for it. Personally, when we were there in September we found the food mediocre at best (unfortunately, DH got sick on part of the skillet). We saw none of the antics that everyone talks about. But I guess that could depend on the servers working that night.

we just went last wk i thought the food was awesome, our server was really bad tho we waited over an hour for the check, it was that bad. Other servers around us were much better and doing all of the antics i read on here...we liked 50s primetime more for the antics the WCC.

THe antics are amazing, the food is awesome (if you like BBQ), and the ambiance and theme is top notch! kids or no kids, its something to see! NOt sure where you are staying, but just the trip alone to the Wildrenss Lodge is worth it - what an amazing place!

we've eaten there twice, and loved it twice!

the last time we were there, we had a wonderful server named Judith. She was so much fun!! We went in August and the place was crazy, it looked like all the servers were really have fun with the antics that night, they made all the men do "I'm a little teapot" :lmao: there were several people ridding stick horses around the place singing Happy birthday to ME!:rotfl: and a GIANT bottle of ketchup
OH! and we all loved the food, everything was hot and tasty. Most of us had the skillet, but my mom ordered the Prime Rib and she LOVED it! She let me taste it and it litterally melted in my mouth

We're going back in June, and hope we have another great time

Hey you!!

No antics (which is fine if your restaurant isn't supposed to have any - but if you book on account of antics as part of the experience, then maybe they should be there!), bad server, bad food.

No positives at all other than the banana dessert we had. Still you might want to try it for yourself - you may have a better experience and really enjoy it!

I really can't understand how this restaurant gets poor reviews. Honestly, it was one of our favorite meals. Great food, awesome server, happy kids, and just an all around great atmosphere. We are three adults with no kids and we had the greatest time. For pics, go to my dining review. It's such a great place, we plan to go back our next trip.:thumbsup2

We were there in October. We really enjoyed our meal (a little too much probably). We were stuffed after "the skillet." The kids enjoyed it too.

The antics seem to have been scaled back some lately. Also you can order from the menu and not get the all you can eat skillet. Also if you are an adult only group, there is seating at the rear of the resturant, overlooking the lobby and the rear of the resort, pool, lake area, that is simply wonderful.

We had an adult only group to eat there recently and sit in this area and loved it. I vote go, the cornbread is worth the trip.

I love WCC. The food is good and we really enjoy the antics. I consider WCC to be one of the truly unique restaurants at WDW. As good as places like California Grill and Flying Fish are, I have lots of great restaurants that serve similar cuisine in my area at home. But there is no place like WCC that I've found outside of Disney.

But like every restaurant, some nights are better than others. If you've never been I would keep the ADR and try it out yourselves.

But there is no place like WCC that I've found outside of Disney.

Where do you live? The stuff at WCC is good "down-home" cooking 'round these parts. And we can get similar antics at Lambert's Cafe. They throw your rolls @ you and have all you can eat "pass-arounds" like fried okra. It's served on a "hillbilly plate" since they bring those around before you've even ordered your dinner. Hillbilly plate = paper towel. I always hafta make DH catch my rolls since I really bite at catch, especially with hot, fresh rolls! :rotfl:

I voted stay away. At best the food is just average BBQ. If it's like it was the couple of times we tried it, the food is just down right not good. We had the skillet and everything on it was greasy, even the corn. The antics are hit and miss, it just depends on your server. So if you are going for the antics, you need to realize you may get them or you may not.

Now that being said, I realize I'm in the minority here on the DIS, most people love WCC. The bottom line is, if you think you will enjoy the food, go for it.
