Which week will you be there in August 2010?

We will be at POR Aug 16 -23. Can't wait for our second trip as a family. I think I am the only excited one. My wife isn't as enthusiastic as me. I am doing all the planning and I am addicted to these boards, esp with the FD promo. Luckily I was able to add this to our reservation on Friday saving a nice amount.

We are surprising our 11 year old son. Gonna be difficult we have to drop two dogs off to my parents. He will suspect something, but we have plenty of time to think of how to pull it off. We don't plan on telling him until we pull into the airport.

Anyway love the DIS and thanks to it saved a bundle. My wife thinks I am addicted to this.

I hope your surprise holds out for you. It sounds like a blast.

We kept one of our trips a big secret until the morning of; when we woke our kids at 5am and told them, "let's go to Disney today!" - priceless.
We're scheming this trip in August as a surprise as well.

On the subject of when, usually we take them out of school in Sept., but this year we're testing the last week of August. It will be very hot still (yuck!), but then again, with fingers crossed, the crowds will have lightened some what from earlier in the summer.

We hope it does! We were thinking of telling him we are going to Atlantic City for the night, hence the luggage and dogs being dropped off. We live in South Jersey and frequently go to Atlantic City to shop and eat. We thought about just telling him in the morning but he may not believe us. He always asks where we are going and how long it will take when we go places. We always always answer together "Disney" It is our inside joke. So actually it may not be that hard to pull it off.

I was a little worried about the heat. DW does not like the heat, but loves air conditioning and pools. This is how I convinced her this is a good idea. We are saving about 1500 compared to going over Easter. We drove last time. In August we are flying out of Atlantic City and staying at POR instead of ASMovie and it is still 1500 cheaper than our easter trip. She was sold on the savings. From what i have read on here August is doable you just have to be prepared. I still have three months of reading the DIS to be more prepared than I need. We get really hot and humid here in Jersey in August also. Either way we will be on vacation in Disney!!

We were there that time last year, and even with free dining it wasn't bad at all. I really expected much worse.

Hey, us too. We're staying at the BC from Aug 6th until Aug 14th. I'm so excited!!!

We'll be at the Beach Club too! Aug 6th until Aug 15th...can't wait...first time to BC!!

We will be there from 8/25-8/30. I haven't been to Disney in about 12 years, I am taking my 5 year old daughter and my parents, it is the first trip for all 3 of them! Having some problems making ADRs though, kind of a bummer!

We'll be there 14th thru 20th also @ POR. It will be our 8th trip and 4th stay @ POR. I'm the addict in the family but my husband slowly warms up for each trip planned. We watched home movies last night from previous trips and he's now fully committed and excited
