Sorry to hear about the chaotic night! I've never watched the fireworks from Fantasyland, but I hear both good and bad things about it. Did everyone else seem to enjoy the show?

Just a tip!! - If you join TGM he gives you ideas of the best place to view the parade and the fireworks! So worth the $18 fee! Maybe consider that for your next trip.

We are finishing day 2, finally! I apologize for lack of pictures...we were having too much fun to take pictures! So when we last left off we have just enjoyed some time with some happy haunts and were left figuring out how best to spend our evening at Magic Kingdom. It was just Jess, Jameson, BF and I, and we were kind of left wondering "What do we do."

The theme of the night was, suggest something and get your head bit off so it was a very tense moment before Jameson decided he needed a cigeratte before he did anything. Of course he did.

We started walking toward Liberty Square, Jameson insisted he knew where the smoking area was and BF and i said we would meet him there after we filled our water bottle. We went to the smoking area and no Jameson. We look around and see them walking around and we're like what are you doing, the smoking area is over here. Jameson of course freaks out saying that they 'moved it' and 'all this construsction is messing things up'.

I kept my mouth shut, but what I wanted to say was. we are in Liberty Square, not Fantasyland, where the construction is...and the smoking area hasn't changed!!

Jess and I decided to go christmas shopping and she picked out an ornament and we had to have one of the workers go in the back (Steve, he was awesome) and get a bunch for us cause they were all broken! This took some time and by the time we were done, Jameson was outside throwing a (Insert bad word here) storm because a parade is coming and what is taking us so long. Um excuse me, we have to wait for you to smoke don't freak out at us. So we leave the shop and are trying to figure out the best way to beat the parade to frontier land. Jess really wanted to ride BTMR at night, which I was totally up for.

This was one of those moments where, no matter how many times you've been to Disney or how many things you've read online, you draw a complete blank as to what is the best course of action. I could not for the life of me figure out how we could get from point a to point b. So instead of arguing i grabbed the map went back in the store and asked Steve!

Steve was helpful and we took off hoping to cut off the parade before it got to frontier land. Well guess what, we were too late.

Cue second meltdown of the night. Jameson is throwing a fit about the parade and it being crowded and were not going to be able to do anything and this is stupid. He just went on and on and on.

I couldn't hold it in any longer! I just looked at him and said "If you want to leave, leave. I'm going to sit here and watch this parade. Stop complaining about it." I had really had enough. This seemed to shut him up for a minute and I asked BF to sit with me on the wall and watch the parade go by. Jameson and Jess reluctantly sat next to us. I quietly asked my BF if he wanted to leave. He said he was tired but he new I really wanted to do this so we would stay. Jameson was being a complete grump so I quietly turned to Jess and said 'maybe you guys should take off'

Well that's what they ended up doing. I don't know what was said but a minute later they stood up and said they were going to leave. We said our goodbyes and I went back to watching the parade. I saw Alice which made me happy and then not 30 seconds later they let people cross. All that moaning for nothing!

We walked across to frontierland, skipped Splash mountian, which boyfriend really wanted to do but I refused to do this trip (HATE IT!) and went to BTMR. BF is not a big fan of this ride but I love it and i'd never doen it at night! The wait said 30 minutes but we literally walked on. We got the last row of the last car which is what we wanted. We had so much fun on this! I asked to ride it again but it looked like the line was getting longer so no go.

After that I really wanted to do Jungle Cruise but he did not. OH! And before during everything that was happening up there we did Pirates. It was the worse ride on pirates i've ever had cause Mopey and Dopey were in a mood. Anyways we made our way over to Tomorrowland. BF really wanted to do Space Mountian. Our first time since the refurb. The wait was long. He told me we didn't have to wait if I didn't want to but I could just see how much he wanted to so I said let's go for it. I can't remember how long we waited but we had so much fun! I'm glad we decided to do it!

After that I really wanted to go on the people mover but I didn't realize it would be closed! I asked a CM if the people mover was closed and he said yes and then was like 'oh gosh you look like your going to cry! It will be open tomorrow morning!' I thanked him and boyfriend made me a penny to cheer me up. So far we were having a blast. We were going to head back but decided to do Buzz first and i'm glad we did. I think we were laughing the whole time!

At this point we decided we should probably head our as it was close to 1:30. Unfortunatly this is where I decided I was really hungry. We hadnt eaten since Canada and I needed food. Of course nothing was open. We walked by a closed popcorn stand and she told me she thought Casey's was open. She radioed to someone who indeed confirmed. Now i knew what Caseys was but I've never eaten there so we walked in the direction she pointed us and suddenly like a beacon there it was before us.

I knew what I was getting before I even got in line. CORN DOG NUGGETS! I knew i had to get this because of how Brooke always raves about them in her TR. And let me tell you at 2:00am after a night of MK fun...these did not dissapoint.

We took our time walking down mainstreet drinking a frozen coke and eating our corn dog nuggets and i just thought to myself, this is a perfect moment.

All in all we had the BEST night just the two of us. I'm so glad we sent them home because this was just wonderful. We laughed and joked so much, that is what a disney vacation is about! Obviously his family doesn't understand that but I'm glad he does.

So we ended the day feeling happy and went to bed with smiles on our faces.

COMING SOON: Our first day at Animal Kingdom (May very well be my last ever), the tour groups arrive, and guess whose sick!

Corn Dog Nuggets!!! So glad you liked them! My first taste of them is linked with a great MK memory as well. I think they taste best after a wonderful MK experience, which you obviously had. Sounds like a very fun night with the BF. You said you have a picture of you pointing to that purple square on Buzz from every trip? It's such a random picture, I love that!

I think at that point I was just used to them causing drama! I was almost glad they did because we ended up having so much fun! And I think it proved to DBF that we should def have a trip just the two of us because of how much fun we had!

Yes it is a random picture haha! It all came about when I took my first trip with my best friend about 3 years ago. We went for spring break and it was her first trip and my idk 16th? haha. We were standing in line for Buzz and she was just like push the button! I was confused and she got the picture and ever since we've made sure to take that picture! She was in Disney the same time I was and we were comparing pictures a few weeks after and she sent me pretty much that exact same picture, just with her in it instead! We didn't even plan it!

I guess its one of those silly things that we do, that makes us ridiculously happy for no good reason!

Trust me, I had anxiety living it! Thank you! We worked really hard on the shirts and I LOVED the outcome! We love to design tshirts, if you ever need some creative advice let me know!

I think everyone else agreed they were a bit chaotic. Possibly if it was Wishes it would have been ok. The worse part for me was the noise and then not being able to follow the story! BF said he did not really enjoy them from here

Honestly, that little spot by Dumbo is one of my FAVORITE places to watch the fireworks from. When I was a CM, if I was working in Fantasyland, my friends and I would meet up by Dumbo to watch the fireworks together. Our manager didn't care It wasn't like we could do our jobs then anyway, as we were custodial and it was too dark to do anything

I'm sorry MK was so hectic I hope it gets better, even though I'm sure it won't

I just really did not like that spot, but I think it might have been ok for Wishes, but not for Nightastic..no thank you!

Work and life have been busy. No excuse for not updating trip reports but, it is what it is. I'm not sure if i posted about this before, but I recently found out that i have a tumor and am dealing with all sorts of medical issues, plus having found out that they hired another person at my job to do my job. Real life is much more stressful that being on the DIS.

But anyways, i am back and hopefully getting a move on this trip report! We are only on day 3 after all!

So when we last left off we had finished a wonderful evening at MK. We got home pretty late and by the time I went to bed (pleasures of being an insomniac) it was almost 3:00AM! Our original plan for Day 3 was EMH at Animal Kingdom and Hoop de doo at night. We are always done with AK early and we had to be at Hoop De Doo by 7 so we figured this was a good plan.

Needless to say EMH did not happen. We were up by 8:30 and ready to go by 9 but the park opened at 9. I basically said oh well at this point, and for good reason.

Let me backtrack just a tad. Every trip to FL, ever since I was a baby, I get sick. Sometimes it's just a cold, othertimes its a lot worse. Our March of 2009 trip was one of the worst I can recal, with me spending 3 days on our hotel room, and our last day at MK in a wheel chair. Also did not get to fully enjoy our day at Discovery Cove but it was still amazing. The only time I have not gotten sick was our trip last July, so I had high hopes. I thought if I can make it though this day, I will be great, because it is ALWAYS the day at AK that i begin to feel sick.

Well as luck would have it, I woke up that morning with a real scratchy throat. My heart sank and i told myself it just must be from the hot air, cold hotel room, and copious amounts of cigeratte smoke i was inahling from chain smoker McGee, but I knew. I mentioned to DBF how i was feeling and he gave me the "oh crap" look. I have a very weak immune system, this was not good.

We went up to his parents room anyway, where everyone could immediatly tell something was off. His mom showed genuiene concern for me (She really is a nice person, just..you know), and i thanked her but inside i was panicking, picturing another march incident and no way to get to a pharmacy for drugs. Mr. N gave me some airborn which I promptly tried to drink but couldn't get through half a bottle and ended up throwing away once we got to the park! Disgusting stuff!

While we were waiting for everyone to be ready Melisa's birthday card came, (today was her actual birthday, I felt bad, because we went to AK one year on my birthday and I hated it!) And i snapped some pictures cause I thought it was just too cute!

We also played around with the camera while waiting

I think i already look miserable in these photos! Omens of what's to come!

We got to the park with minimal fuss and I bought a water first thing. So begins my DBF's endless quest to keep me hydrated. I have issues with dehydration. I forget to keep drinking. I have a wonderful bf who reminds me!

We decided to hit Everest and get some fast passes and then head over to the safari. i refuse to ride the safari if it's not in the morning, because onviously the animals are going to be out in the morning. The wait for everest was posted for just 10 min so we decided to grab some fast passes and jump in line.

I'm a big "I don't like to wait in lines" person. I have an anxiety disorder plus fibro mayalga (sp wrong, i don't ahve time to look it up!) and standing still for long periods of time causes me pain. But 10 minutes is doable. i didn't take many pictures of the wait, because i was already feeling pretty crappy by this point!

At some point I realized it had been way past ten minutes. We were just to the point right before you get outside to the track, where the fast pass line meets up with the regular line and i looked around and realized we were not moving. AT ALL. People were sitting down. At this point i felt like we had already been there all day so I sat too.

That's when they announced the ride was closed. We were all to get out of line. Well some people did not get this. I didn't think it was so hard to understand, but people just stood there. CMs were ushering us out onto the platform and out the exit and people thought they were supposed to get on the ride! It was quite entertaining! As we left they gave us fastpasses good for anytime for the next few days. For anyone paying attention, see if you can spot the flaw in that plan. Although necessary, a ride is now shut down, and a number of people have fast passes for whenever they want. i wonder what will happen to the fastpass line when it opens back up!

While we were walking away I realized that not only was the ride shut down but there were people stuck on it! How awful! I snapped some pictures!

That car wasn't moving!

Those poor people had to get down using the emergency stairs! Of course these things happen, and I think the staff handled it very well!

So instead of riding everest we decided to head over to the safari. I gave the camera to boyfriend at this point and designated him picture taker from now untill forever. I will post these in no particular order what so ever!

Boyfriend was proud of his picture taking abilities. Boys haha. I also learned many a tidbit from Mr and Mrs N who have done the behind the scenes tour. Although a lot of it was stuff I already knew I found it interesting and typical that the rocl the lions lay on is actually air conditioned to keep them in view of the public.

Ok I will stop here because I honestly have to ask Boyfriend what happened next and its getting late. But..

COMING SOON: Do I ever feel better? Everyone abandons us! And 40 agonizing minutes with the gorillas!

First of all, soooooo glad you got a night in the MK for just you and DBF. Sounds like there was no stress and just FUN which is what WDW is supposed to be! I'm sure Jameson and Jess would have more fun on their own, too. Not that there's anything wrong with you guys, but it just sounds like you have different touring styles AND don't get along very well so splitting up is just best for everyone!

So sorry to hear you were feeling sick! I hope it gets better but I have a bad feeling about this....

Plus getting sick at Disney is no fun at all - I hope the sore throat doesn't turn into something really nasty (I had started to come down with one when we were getting ready to leave for our trip back in Feb 2008 and as always, I put 3-4 drops of hydrogen peroxide in my ear and it stops the nasty bug from hitting me hard. I still ended up with a sore throat on our second day but that was because I didn't keep up the drops. My kids think I'm nuts but when I hear that fizzling sound in my ear, I know it is battling that nasty little bug that wants to keep me from having fun!)

We do have very different styles, and I'd like to think they would have fun on their own if they bothered to try it. Unfortunatly i don't think they ever will. We had a very awkward conversation at dinner one night when the fact that DBF and I were planning a trip for just us was brought up. We had a great time just the two of us, I'm so glad we did it!
