Which Value Resort?

I am hoping all of you can help me make a decision as to which resort DH and I will stay at in September. We're ready to book, but we're really undecided as to which resort we want...

We have stayed at All Star Music twice and loved it both times. We've stayed at Pop Century once and had some "issues" that kind of left a bad taste in our mouths... The first "issue" was that it took about an hour to check in (and there was no one else in line... may have been a new CM, I'm not sure -- it WAS 11pm after all). The second "issue" we had was that we had a package delivered to the resort (via netgrocer.com) and it took the CMs approximately four hours (four hours of our "pool" and "nap" time) to find the darned package!!! So, I know that the chances of these "issues" happening again are slim, so we're still keeping Pop Century in mind.

We've not stayed at either the All Star Sports or All Star Movies and are open to them as well.

Here's our info: It's just DH and I (we're both 27) and I will be approximately 6 months pregnant while we're there. We don't mind a little bit of walking, but we don't want to be put in hotel Siberia either. Is Pop Century not as spread out? I'm not sure...

Okay, I think that's all of our info -- we're not too interested in the pools and whatnot - we basically think of the resort as a place to sleep. We're staying at the Beach Club Villas after our stay at one of the values, so that will be our pool and relax time...

Thanks in advance for your help!

All Star's are good. Never been to Pop, but if you've had a negative experience, then try something else. I like Coronda Springs and Port Orleans - they may only be $10 a night more than a value and offer much more than just a bed.

I think the surroundings of a resort lead to a restful and magical trip.

Try something new. You may just love it.

How do you get a moderate for $10 more a night than a value? I'd love to go back to CBR, if we could get it for that price! I don't have an AP and I'm not a FL resident, so I guess it won't happen for me this trip......

We did like ASMovies last year when we stayed there, no complaints!

Anyways, Ive never stayed at any All Star Resorts, but ive stayed at Pop. Pop in my opinon, isnt that bad of a resort, except for a few (downfalls)

The best thing about pop is that it is the newest and cleanest and brightest of the value resorts. Another good thing is that it doesn't share transportation with any other resorts. The worst thing about pop is that if you dont get a perfered room, your out in the boony's, away from the only Bus Stop (Totally Rediculous!) and the Main Building. Another thing that detracts from the whole experince is the check in wait times. We also had to wait upwards of an hour to check in! As far as All Star goes, like I said, Ive never stayed with them, but Ive heard some not so good things as far as rooms go. If I were you and decided to stay at POP, I would DEAFIENITLY invest in the prefered room.

All Star Movies is our favorite. We've stayed there 3 times and had positive experiences each of them. :flower:

I suggest AllStar Sports for the sheer fact that it is the first stop for the bus. Your first on and first off and being 6 months pregnant you might really appreciate that benefit. We were there the week of Christmas and it was wonderful having a seat on the way to the parks.
good luck and congrats on the new arrival.

In 2003 we stayed at All Star Movies and just loved it. All the figures make you feel all happy plus we had really good service. :rotfl: They were booked this time so we are staying at Pop.

All Star Sports was really the decision we were leaning towards, so I think that's what we'll do. Thanks, everyone for the suggestions!!! It is so appreciated!!!

BTW - I looked into booking a moderate, just to compare prices and because we're getting the free dining pkg, it was about $400 more!!! Yikes! We'll stick with the values this time around...
