No, I'm not planning a wedding, I can only wish for a BF  , but that doesn't change the fact that reading these TRs and PJs (thanks Lurkyloo for making me addicted!) have me dreaming.

I knew about the "standard" place sto get married and have your reception (WP, SBP, ..., reception at GF, ...) but what are the more "unusual" places?
Until Lurkyloo's PJ/ WR, I didn't know one could get married at Epcot or that there was something like the Attick.

Where did/ wil you get married and have your reception?
Is it possible to have one or both at AK?

Come on, brag on about your fabulous choices! :)

Yes - I know of at least one reception at Tusker House and another that was planned for one of the trails at AK - Asia, I think.

I know you can get married at the Beach by the Wedding Pavilion, which isn't listed as a site.

Let's see what everyone else comes up with!

Just to add on to lurkyloo's Morocco wedding, you can have a ceremony in any of the countries. We got married at the American Adventure Rotunda and I've seen ceremonies done in Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. :thumbsup2

We are the Wedding Pavilion Beach couple! It was fantastic. Love having Space Mountain in the back of the pictures! It was a beautiful location and I'd highly recommend it to anyone! If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask!

We were having our rehearsal dinner in Animal Kingdom. We had some weather concerns so we switched our location to a very cool new location.

The location in AK is called Belvedere and is inside the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia. To have the event you need to wait until 2 hours after the park closes and so that put us a little too late in the evening.

Some of the places we were offered when searching for a reception and cool rehearsal dinner location were the Festival of the Lion King, the Beauty and the Beast Stage, Animation pavilion... there are a few more that I am not thinking of now.

Anything is possible: they say that if you can dream it, Disney can do it...for a price, of course! ;)

I'm an AK-hopeful, though that is a l-o-n-g way off....

Lisacope is having an AK reception! Her VR is in about a month and I can't wait to see pictures from it!

Sarah&Fred had an amazing MK/AK wedding. I'd link it if the search feature was working...

And if you haven't read it yet, check out Janet2k's awesome VR trip report

I went to a reception in the animation building at MGM; the bride and groom had animators come in to give a drawing lesson!

Then there is the couple who *literally* took the plunge on the Tower of Terror-- recreating their vows while it dropped. After they have been married at the YCG http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/disneywld/index.html check that out for more ToT wedding.

So really, anything is possible! It's so fun to dream about all the possibilities!

I know anything is possible as long as you pay for it.
I've been on the Backstage Magic tour, and have been in the sarehouse where they keep all their wedding and events "stuff". They have a whole setup of Main Street and the castle. The guide said it could be set up in the CSR (I think) ballroom, and then it's just as if you walk through Main Street to get married in front of the castle.

But, OK, let's face it, we're not all Rothschild (sp?) and so I just wanted to know the "cool but still somewhat affordable" places :rotfl:
