We just can't decide when to go! We've never been during Christmas and wohkd love to see the decorations however early June would is a great time of the year. We could get free dining during Christmas but the airfare and room rates are a bit higher. Really wish we could do both but I don't think that we could swing it.

Opinions needed and greatly appreciated!

Early June by far. Christmas week is the busiest time of the year in WDW.

For me there are Pros and Cons for each date. There will be people that won't agree with me but this is what I think:

June
Pros: Definitely less crowded, cheaper rooms, cheaper airfare, best chances for FP+ and dining reservations, Water Parks are a must during summer
Cons: humid, humid, humid, hot, no special celebrations

December
Pros: Great decorations, free dining, good weather, special celebrations activities, an unforgettable experience.
Cons: crowded, very crowded, you will need to fallow some plans to make sure you can do some rides, less FP+ and dining available for the time you want, weather fluctuates (can go from 20 to 70).

We had been there both months. We love Christmas because it is so special. We will be there again this year for Christmas and NYE. I think it is Disney and you can't go wrong.

As the previous poster mentioned, the 2 weeks around Christmas to New Years is the busiest time at WDW. To give you an indication of the differences. According to Touring Plans, on June 2nd, 2013 the average wait for Space Mountain was 58 minutes. On Dec. 27th, 2013 the average wait was 103 minutes.

I would agree with this. :goodvibes
We haven't been early June, but we've been late August a number of times.
OP - I think it comes down to what you want out of the trip.
We typically go in Feb, April or August, but are going down December 23rd this year. We want to see the holiday decorations and check out the special holiday things like Candlelight Processional etc...and this is our chance to do so. We know it will be different than our other trips and that's OK for us.

Thanks for the info everyone! I do wish that we could go late August but our kids will be in school by then. As far as going during the hot months - we typically go during June or July - we live in Texas, so we are used to the heat and humidity. My other concern is not being home with other family members during the holidays, but my DH says it will be fine. It all comes down to when we really want to go.

Oh, and if we go during June, we will stay at AoA but if we go in December, we will stay at OKW in a 2 br villa.

The earlier in June, the better. As with late August, many schools are still in session early June -- especially this year.
