I think there are 4 in Disneyland that close in the rain and all I can remember is Alice. Or maybe that isn't even correct?

What about in DCA also?

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather during your visit to the Disneyland Resort, most attractions and indoor shows will continue to operate. For the safety and comfort of our Guests and Cast, some outdoor attractions may temporarily close until the inclement weather passes. These attractions may include:

Disneyland Park
•Alice in Wonderland
•Dumbo the Flying Elephant
•Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island
•The Mad Tea Party
•Gadget's Go Coaster
•Parade Schedules

Please visit City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. during your visit for updated information.

Disney California Adventure Park
•Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
•Show and Parade Schedules

Please visit the Guest Relations Lobby during your visit for updated information.

Ha! Thanks Skiingfast! I was just thinking, "where's Skiingfast when I need him?"

We were there this past Sunday. It rained off and on for an hour or two. We were able to ride Dumbo, but Alice and Teacups were closed.

I can tell you from personal experience that riding the Matterhorn in the rain is fun! Autopia, not so much. :(

It is pleasantly surprising how few things are closed in the rain, yet many people leave. We ducked into Innoventions for an hour when we got too damp, and then were ready to go again.

We were at DCA a number of years ago in January and there was a huge storm... not enough to prevent us from going, but enough to get you drenched as you walked around outside. We were encased in huge windbreakers and loved the tiny crowds.

Surprisingly, the only ride on the Paradise Pier area that was closed was the Zephyr ride. The Sun Wheel/Fun Wheel, Mullholland Madness/Goofy's Flight School, Jumping Jellyfish and California Screamin' were all open. However, half of Ariel's Grotto restaurant (the outdoor seating) was closed, and I had to fight to get them to honor our priority seating there. The Pixar Parade was also very disappointing, as it only lasted 3 minutes and was very limited.

Still, overall, it was great being there in the rain, because we practically had the park to ourselves... except at Ariel's Grotto, which apparently is where everyone was hanging out. ;)

ETA I found this! We had Triton's Carousel all to ourselves in the rain....

Where did you get their blue rain jackets? They look perfect!

Where did you get their blue rain jackets? They look perfect!

They're from Land's End - just packable windbreakers, but they worked really well. We often bring these kinds of jackets to theme parks to wear on the water rides, even when it's not cold/rainy. If you get them a size big, they'll fit over a thick sweater, so you can use them even on cooler California days.

Keep in mind that this picture is 6 years old (Yipes! Where did my little babies go?) so they have a different selection at LE now.

Actually, we all had them, and (likely because we all matched) on that trip we got to be 'family of the day' and open the DL Park that particular trip!

At the moment my kids have these ones from LL Bean:

They pack up inside themselves as well, so handy to bring on a trip, and very durable!

We were at DL a few years ago during a major storm that closed the parks early etc.
They closed BTMRR quite a bit during our visit, we were told that the rain was messing with the sensors.
But we rode Screamin repeatedly in the rain (hurts so bad!!). The low crowds made the rain worth the hassle.

I was visiting in October when it rained. Light crowds in DL in the morning but quite a few people there. I moved over to DCA in the afternoon and it was not crowded at all. CS was closed for refurb but I literally walked on the Little Mermaid ride 2 or 3 times in a row (first time I've ridden it so I had to check it out). Most rides had only a minute or two waits or walk ons. Biggest line was Toy Story which was posted for 10 minutes but was actually 5. In the Animation Courtyard it was a bit crowded with people milling around to stay out of the rain for a while and to see the characters. Man, the characters kept cycling through. I've never seen so many characters come through there before. It must have been because of the rain. But, as soon as a new character would come out people were swooping on them and they had pretty decent lines right away.

I did have to wear a poncho and it was raining steadily. Not hard in the morning but as the afternoon wore on it picked up. It was good I got out and braved the rain in the poncho because it turned out the next day when the sun came out there were a ton of people who had stayed away the day before when it rained but now were mobbing the park.
