Stateroom charges question

It's me and my sister in a stateroom. Will we both be able to charge our own things (drinks, shopping, etc) to our own credit cards? How does this work with the same room number?

Like others have said, your stateroom keys can be linked to your personal credit cards, so as long as you're charging something to your room and using your own stateroom key to do so (and not your sister's), it will be charged to your credit card. In practice, it's really no different than using your own debit/credit card anywhere else, since any cocktail lounge, coffee bar, or shop will ask for the stateroom key (or MagicBand) at the time of payment.

My partner and I used this to make our trip budgeting a bit easier, and it worked flawlessly — we linked our cards to our stateroom during the online check-in process, but I'm sure Guest Services can set it up for you as well.

I often cruise with my sister and we have had some overlap confusion a few times. For example, when I booked a placeholder, they got it under my name but sent the confirmation email to my sister's email address.

The system to book a placeholder is different from the one onboard to charge things to your stateroom (through a MB+ or KTTW card). I could see how a glitch could happen with the placeholder booking, but I don't see that having an effect on onboarding charging to your stateroom.

Sorry, that was probably not the best example of the mix-ups we've experienced having two different charge cards tied to the same cabin. But it has happened to us on multiple occasions. There was some mix up about spa charges on our last cruise that we just decided to divy up on our own rather than go through trying to get it re-applied. Not saying that it will happen to the OP, but it would be a good idea to check the cruise bills just in case.
