Which restaurant has the best bread pudding?

The bread pudding at HOB is wonderful. We tried the one at Boma and it didn't come close to it. To be honest, I have never had anything close to what they have at HOB.

Definitely Ohana. It was the only part of the meal I truly enjoyed !

Its not a regular menu item - in fact, I've never seen it on the menu except the one time we stumbled into it - but Le Cellier had a chocolate bread pudding that - as a bread pudding snob and a chocolate snob - exceeded expectations.

Warm ohana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream... ooooohhhhh....

but in case you're like me (don't like anything in ohana except for the bread pudding), head out to MS Bakery. They have banana bread pudding that's pretty close. It's too sweet to have with ice cream but oh so yummy to have for an afternoon snack when it's warm and gooey...

Boma's banana bread pudding is also served with a vanilla cream sauce and is very good.

Boma's banana bread pudding USED to be great, but the recipe has been changed in the past few months. We loved the *old* one & always look forward to it and were very disappointed on our last visit to Boma. This new version is not anything like the original which had been served at the restaurant for years. We commented to our server about it and she said that they've had many bad reviews. Apparently Boma's new chef decided the pudding needed an update!!
I certainly hope they get enough negative feedback to change the bb pudding back to the way it was.
