I am trying to decide on which resort I am going to stay at.
I am going to split my weeks stay between a lower priced resort and a Deluxe resort. :woohoo:
I have stayed at the Poly already so I know they have one. Do any moderates have balcony's with table and chairs?

Also a question to all you veterans out there. Since I will be traveling solo without a car how do you switch resorts.
If i decide to stay 3 nights at POR then switch to WL for 3 nights do I tell front desk or do I have to pay for transportation myself?
HELPPPPPPPPP!!!!!
:confused3

I don't think any of the moderates have balconies, but the CBR has some rooms that are on nice little courtyards with tables/umbrellas and chairs. I've never stayed at CSR, but they may have something similar.

The deluxes all have at least some rooms with a balcony or patio, but not all rooms have them. BC, Poly and CR come to mind as locations where a fair number of rooms don't have a full "sitting" balcony. If you're staying at the WL, I think you'll most likely have a balcony or patio.

I've personally never used Disney to transport my bags during a split stay, but I think it's as easy as telling Bell Services (either the night before or the morning of check out) that you're switching resorts. They will move it to the new resort while you play at the parks. When you check into the second resort, let them know you've arrived and they'll deliver your bags. No need to pay for transportation.

No moderates have patios or balconies. They only have the entrance way into the room.

No mod's or values have balconies/patios.

WL & AKL all rooms have B/P.

CR tower, all rooms have balconies. Wing rooms have none on 2nd 3rd floor. 1st floor has patio.

Don't know abt the other deluxes.

Although POR doesn't have either a balcony or a patio, it is a very pleasant resort. It is very lush, and there are a lot of tables scattered around, especially by the pools. But, you'll have to decide if not having a balcony or a patio is okay with you since none of the values or moderates have them. They are really more 'motel' style as far as entrances go.
Now, as to how to move yourself and your luggage. Be sure to stay at the lesser resort first, then move to the deluxe. So....how to do that. On the morning that you want to move, call the luggage people and tell they you need to have your bags transferred to a different resort. You can also check with them the night before. They will take your luggage and get it moved over to the new resort. Be aware though...this is not a fast happening. Even if you send your bags off at 8 am, you won't see them again until around 5 pm. I've done this several times now and that's been my experience.
Then, once your bags are taken care of, head to a park for a few hours (or whatever you feel like). Then, take the bus back to your next resort and checkin. You may be able to get into a room or you may have to wait. But at least you have checked in and you're now good to go.
