Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Afternoon all,

Quick post today as I'm off out shortly but my 1 and 2 would definitely be another vote for cinnamon rolls and soft serve ice cream - the larger especially with sauce and tonnes of sprinkles and sherbet

Number 3 goes to any sweets treat that is rolled up - Swiss roll, roulade, yule log. Anything sweet tastes good rolled up.

Stromboli- Hot cheesy goodness with salami, ham, or pepperoni. What's not to love? (OK... my cholesterol level...)
Palmiers- Flaky and buttery, with sugar crystals on top. I love the crispy crunch, even they make quite the mess while eating them!
Tie-dye prints- I have a lot of tie-dye dresses... went to high school in the 1970s so they are near and dear to my heart!

Swirls water can create along the ocean at the beach.

Ah...to stand at the tide line of the pounding surf of the Humboldt current ... put your feet in the water and watch the surf pull away the sand and you sink slowly.and engage yourself with the ocean..oh the sensation of moving at the strength of the shallow swirling water... the deeper the hole around your ankles...more memorizing the swirling.....
... this is what I find after a swirling stream of desert rain

Good Sunday Morning!

#1 - INEXPENSIVE SMALL SURPRISE GIFTS - My DD22 is the best with giving me these. She’ll go to a garage sale and see something she knows I’d like and buys it for me. These things cost a few dollars or less. It warms my heart that she does this for me.

#2 - MY MICKEY MOUSE EARRINGS - My DH bought me diamond Mickey Mouse stud earrings a very long time ago and I wear them every day without fail (in my 2nd earring hole). I wish I could remember when he gave me these - definitely 20 or more years ago.

#3 - MY IPHONE - It’s a smalll portable computer that helps me with everything, I’m definitely grateful for that everyday.

Afternoon all,

1. My keepsake ring - recently had a ring made with ashes from my beloved cat, and I'm so grateful to be able to wear it wherever I go and take her with me.

2. Safety pins - great to carry round especially in the event of a wardrobe malfunction...

3. Relaxation time - getting some "me" or relaxation time is something you can take forgranted but is so important, something I try and do as often as i can!

I'm driving down the cold 75 degrees morning road to a hired yard when I see 2 jr high boy and girl sitting in the gravel along side the road. Every street in this massive complex either has brick or gravel that extends from the property brick wall to the street. The kids are half heartly pulling weeds growing from the monsoon rain... every property frontage has these weeds in gravel. I stop and tell them.... this is a small thing pulling weeds ...it builds character and will make your adult life better... I hand the pair a $5.00 bill and drive away

So pulled weeds in the shade and found these small quartz rocks... the size of your thumbnail...made my morning adult life better... that in the ugly load of gravel there is beauty. Ezekiel 1:28 as the appearance of a rainbow on a rainy day... so were the appearance of the radiance of these small gems
