Who invited Milton to her 21st Birthday?? An October 2024 Trip Report UPDATED October 5, 2025!

I remember when the dessert party had eggrolls but that feels like years ago now. I do like the addition of alcohol though!

Overall a wonderful full day at Magic Kingdom!

I love POFQ and boat travel is always my 1st choice!
Me too! So relaxing!

Well that sounds amazing! Shades of the lovely CG brunch. :)
I don't know about that! That was the most amazing experience, I don't know if anything will ever top it! And why oh why don't they bring that back??

They are huge slices. I always get the kids pizza deal here with cuties and a drink. It's a great deal.
I love a good kid's meal at WDW, always plenty of food! But this was a great portion for sharing!

Please still exist in 2029!!!!
Oh no...that sounds so awful just hearing that...so far away :sad1:. I get it though

I have so many sweet memories of Ohana breakfasts with my boys.

How can anyone like anything better than Guardians?
My thoughts exactly!

What a perfectly delightful day. I'm happy just reading about it!
I was happy writing it and reliving the memories!

LOL, my reputation proceeds me! When we've done it in the past, I usually go with Blue Moon, too. Bud Light is just NOT my thing--I wish they'd switch! That would definitely make the cost even more worth it though...and easier to convince Rob. Ha! Thanks for the details!
So funny that Bud Light isn't a suitable replacement! I think ALL beer is gross and it all tastes the same to me! The beer is definitely how I get Mike to agree to it all the time!

Unless you want that burger. ;)

I remember bringing my Nicholas there for that burger but that was long ago and before I ever thought to take pics of allll our food before we ate it! I don't think I ever tried it though!

Thanks for reading! Spring rolls would be an awesome addition! The greatest party I've ever done at WDW was the Tony's Town Square party with parade viewing. There was TONS of savory foods there plus desserts and wine/beer. I think they only did it the one year (2019) and who knows if they would have done it again if everything hadn't changed in 2020!

I know...honestly I wish things were different but sadly they're not and don't seem to be getting any better.
I was happy writing it and reliving the memories!
I love all the beautiful trip memories! It's what keeps us going in between trips. :)

RAINY ROPE DROP

As Milton inched his way closer and closer we started having more steady rain.
This was the case as we headed off to Hollywood Studios.
Still, we we excited and wanted to make the best especially since Clay hadn't been
since all the new Star Wars land had opened and he was excited to see it.
Grammy and Ava decided to take their time getting out this morning.
I told her to just hop on the boat so she wouldn't get lost trying to get there as she did another year
when she ended up over in the construction zone for the Swan Reserve :sad2:

The rest of us left early to rope drop. We almost always walk to HS but with the rain we decided to hop on the boat...

By 8:21, Clay was ready to fight anyone who tried to cut him at Rise of the Resistance :goodvibes
IMG_5878.jpeg

It's always fun seeing a person's reaction to this scene for the first time. We had to stop for some pics...
IMG_5900.jpeg

We had a great ride and everything was in working order, even this guy...
IMG_5894.jpeg
I feel like that doesn't happen a lot anymore.

Back outside we threw on our ponchos and made our way over to the Millenium Falcon...
IMG_5936.jpegIMG_5950.jpegIMG_5966 (1).jpeg
Allie and Clay were the pilots and Mike and I were whatever the second row is.
I don't really love this ride and don't care where I sit and I forget to push the buttons half the time.

Time for a snack! Blue Milk for the boys...
IMG_5982.jpeg

And while they were doing that I walked over to Woody's for a seasonal lunch box tart.
I brought it back to Galaxy's Edge to eat and ended up standing under an overhang outside a store
because the rain was really coming down at that point.
IMG_5996.jpeg

It was around 11am and my mom had texted they were there so we went over to meet them and get out of the rain for a bit...

DRY OFF IN THE DRIVE-IN

We actually all enjoy that movie and stopped for pics on the way out.
IMG_6009.jpeg

Mike even wore his Potatoland shirt for the occasionan...
IMG_6016.jpeg

Allie, Clay and I left the rest and headed off to Tower of Terror...
IMG_6057.jpeg

It was time for lunch after that and we had an ADR at Sci-Fi. I wasn't sure how we would be sitting because I wasn't sure they had cars that seated six but they did...
IMG_6062 (1).jpeg
I have no idea where Ava was in this pic but she was definitely there! She sat in back with Mike and Grammy and I were the drivers. These were the only food pics I got and they really don't look appetizing but everything was delicious. We always enjoy this place for the seats, the quiet, and the AC...although we didn't really need that escape today!
IMG_6068.jpegIMG_6069.jpeg

Back outside and back in our ponchos we headed to Toy Story Land
IMG_6074 (1).jpeg

and did some Toy Story Mania...
IMG_6082.jpeg
I don't recall but I'm guessing I was sitting with either my mom or Ava
since they're the only two I could actually beat on this :rotfl:

Back out in the rain for some more poncho pics...
IMG_6085 (1).jpeg

It was just about time for our Oga's reservation but my mom and Ava weren't interested in going.
I think they did Alien SS while the rest of us headed back to Oga's.

OGA'S

After many made and cancelled ADRs for this place,
this was everyone's first time in Ogas...
IMG_6102.jpegIMG_6104.jpeg

These coasters were really cool...
(propped up by a poncho, of course!)
IMG_6107.jpeg

We all liked this guy...
IMG_6113.jpeg

I do not recall what everyone ordered but I know I got the water and Allie got the Fuzzy Tauntaun...
IMG_6118.jpegIMG_6120 (1).jpegIMG_6125.jpegIMG_6126 (1).jpeg

Had to pose with my water in case you haven't ever seen water before :rotfl2:
IMG_6137 (1).jpeg
So what did we think of Oga's? It was fine...cool to see once but not sure if we'd need to go back.
Maybe we'd have liked it more if we had a table with seats?
We were kind of tucked into a standing against a wall area \
away from the bar and the DJ so not truly enjoyable if I'm being honest.

We went back and met my mom and Ava for one more go round at TSM...
IMG_6147 (1).jpeg

It was around 5 when we got out and we all were kind of soggy and just done so we headed back to the Beach Club after that. Not the most successful HS day but with the rain we did the best we could and still had a lot of fun.

ALE & COMPASS LOUNGE

Back at the resort we changed into dry clothes and Mike and I went over to the Ale and Compass Lounge for a bite to eat. We had been too busy to look at our phones most of the day but while we were sitting there we started looking at the weather and things were not looking good.
IMG_6152.jpeg
I think we had been hearing about the hurricane but I wasn't really worrying
because there was nothing we could do about it at that point except make the best of it.

Mike got a beer flight...
IMG_6157.jpeg

and I got Sangria...cheers :drinking1
IMG_6160.jpeg

Then we shared the buffalo cauliflower...
IMG_6163.jpeg

and a couple flatbreads...
IMG_6164.jpegIMG_6165.jpeg
I love this lounge and the food there.
Definitely a good close option when staying at the BC and don't want to go back out in the rain.

The pool looked so pretty this night but not too many people wanted to swim in this weather.
IMG_6166.jpeg

Poor lifeguards still had to be out and even they were wearing ponchos!
IMG_6168.jpeg

Back in the room we shared some of a Wookie Cookie we had brought back from HS and called it a night!
IMG_6177.jpeg

Up next, Allie's 21st birthday but make it a soggy one!
