We stayed at CSR and HATED the long walks everywhere! There never seemed to be a shuttle when we needed it - several even passed us by as we were walking.
So, next time we plan to stay in the smallest Disney resort available. Any suggestions?
Port Orleans French Quarter appears to be the smallest and it is a sister resort to POriverside. You can walk to any building at POFQ in less then 5 minutes. You share a bus with POR but FQ is first to be picked up and first to be let off. Also boat to DTD. No full service rest but the food court is good and the Begniets are wonderful. It is a beautiful resort and nice and peaceful. Slide for the kids and playground as well. Since they are sister resorts you can take the 10 min walk to Riverside and enjoy the pool over there or ride the boat to Riverside. To get back to POFQ from POR you take the bus to DTD as it is the only one that picks up at POR first and then POFQ 2nd. Restaurant, Boatwrights, at POR is good as well. I believe you will really enjoy POFQ.
I stayed at POFQ last year and found it very easy to walk to everything. Only problem I had was waiting for a bus one evening for MGM most times it was pretty easy. I just wish they would not allow standing on the buses just to dangerous. I nearly fell down twice some of the bus drivers drive like nuts.
