We are staying at the Caribbean Beach. As much as we would have loved to stay at the Grand Floridian, it just was not in our budget. How long is everyone staying for? And what room or view did you request? Loved to hear where others are staying or have stayed.

If all goes according to plan we will be 10 days at the Grand Floridian main building concierge in a honeymoon turret room and then off for 14 days is Hawaii. :cloud9:

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside from April 8 to April 15 (Sunday to Sunday). We would have really liked to stay elsewhere also, but it's not happenin! :confused3 I didn't request anything special but she did put is in a King bedroom.....and she also noted that it was our Honeymoon on EVERYTHING that came in for our bill! Hehe!! :teeth: :yay:

There's no speical "Honeymoon" room for POR, is there? Or is there any special room that I "should have" requested ... b/c I didn't even think about that before we made our reservations!!! :)

Right now we're thinking of staying in the Contemporary garden wing since that's where we'll be the 3 nights before and of our wedding. It only ends up being about $30 more per night than a moderate so it's not SOOO bad. However, we may have to nix it and go with Port Orleans FQ if the budget needs some adjusting. I think that'll be the first thing to go since it's not really that big of a deal. How much are you really in your room at WDW anyway?

Hiya! We're staying at the Caribbean too! I tried to make sure it was known that it was our Wedding/Honeymoon, and we also got a preferred room. Hopefully that makes some difference. I'm also going to have my "Bride" tanktop on when I check in :thumbsup2

We're staying Saturday-Saturday, and getting married on a Tuesday.

We are planning to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon... but if I did have a disneymoon it would def. be the GF.. I love that resort.. its so romantic

DF and I originally wanted to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but unfortunately time does not allow. We were going to stay at the Poly to get that islandy feel. However, during my site visit last month, I walked through the GF and loved it :goodvibes I never understood what the big deal was about the GF, but now I totally get it! We will be staying at the GF for 5 nights, in a lagoon view room. We'll be staying seperately at the BC for 4 nights before our wedding.

even though it's still a year away, we will be staying 2 nights concierge at the Grand Floridian main building, then off for a 3 day Disney Wonder cruise and then back to Saratoga for 5 more nights in a 1 bedroom.... :bride: :goodvibes

Our initial dream was to do a 7 night on the Magic, but it will be in Europe all summer :artist: We were so :furious: when we found out because we had been dreaming of it for the first full year of our engagement! I know some people were really excited to get to do that, though, so it made us feel a little better that other people were able to get their dream ;) Have fun on the Wonder, we considered doing a land and sea trip too!!

We are staying at AKL for seven nights this November. It will be a concierge room, and if we have good luck it will be a savana view room. :wizard:

We're doing a split stay. I'm a DVC owner so we're staying the first four nights in a one bedroom at Boardwalk Villas. We check out from there and move to Contemporary Atrium Club for the last three nights.

We went over and over where to stay for the last three nights. At first we planned on staying at Port Orleans Riverside, then we thought about Wilderness Lodge. After watching the WDW planning DVD, dh decided he wanted to try the Contemporary. He's never been to Disney and I'm so hoping to convert him into a Disney fan, so that's the resort that won!

I'm so excited and have been planning obsessively since February. We were married Dec. 22,2005 but put the honeymoon off (we live along the gulf coast and dh's family lost everything in Katrina). We will actually start our honeymoon the day after our first anniversary. We'll be there for Christmas and DH will celebrate his b'day also while we're there. I know it's going to be extremely crowded, but maybe knowing that going in will make us better prepared.

I'm living vicariously through everyone's trip reports and love hearing about everyone elses plans!

We stayed at WL for 3 nights. It's our favorite resort, easily the most romantic resort at Disney, and since we got married on Sunrise Terrace it was super convenient after our event to go back to our room. We didn't do a dinner with our guests (we did brunch the next morning) we had a private dinner in our room and it was wonderful :cloud9: I stayed in the room with my MOH the night before the wedding, so we had our 4 night minimum. After our Disneymoon we went on a RC honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas.

We love Caribbean Beach too - that was the first Disney resort we stayed at when we were dating. Definitely fell in love that weekend  it's a very romantic resort too!

Same here! We have a 1 bedroom at OKW for two weeks. I can't wait :cloud9:

Hi,

Were staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, we spent alot of time looking at them all and decided on there, can't wait. We've gone for a water view room.

Love Wendy xxx :bride: :bride: :bride: :bride:

We're doing our Disneymoon at the Boardwalk. We rented points from a DVC member via the DVC Rent/Trade thread on this board. Our two favorite parks are MGM and Epcot so this puts us right in the middle of the two. They don't have a "honeymoon" suite but we did get the 1bd that has a jacuzzi tub! :-) We also have that this is our honeymoon on every ADr and reservation that they would allow me to put it on!!! :-)

I guess we're in the minority, but we're staying for 10 days/9 nights at POP Century (leaving in exactly one week - our wedding is this Sunday!). We decided to stay longer at the value resort (which feels more Disney to me as I've been to the world 12 times, but have never stayed on property) rather than a shorter stay at a more expensive resort.

And...we don't plan on being in the room that much as we've been together for three years and have lived together for almost a full year - we know what "that's" all about by now and we're looking forward to rides, food, fun, and the occasional "nap" -- if you get my drift! :-)
