Which Resort for your Honeymoon?

We decided on the Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights (including our wedding night)!!! Then we're moving over to POFQ, which we love! It's so romantic and the size is defintely manageable.

Can't wait....only 1 year to go!

What are the rooms like at the GF? I've always wanted to stay there, so I thought we'd use our room night there, and try to upgrade to a suite on our wedding night? Has anyone done this?

Most people love them, but they are not for us. They look so 'grandma's house' to us. The fabrics and furniture are very shabby chic and it's just not our style. Are you a custom? Sometimes they upgrade for your comped wedding night without you having to ask :)

I think we're actually going to switch to in Intimate. It just seems so much more feasible.

I'm getting so excited that our Diswedding/Dismoon is fast approaching!

We are starting our trip with 2 nights at Universal's Hard Rock Hotel, followed by 9 nights at SSR and our honeymoon on the 3-day Wonder cruise. :cloud9:

We are staying 7 nights at CBR, then 7 nights at AKL, then a 3 night DCL and we finish at The Crowne Plaza Universal. It's a long honeymoon as we haven't been away together in so long also we have never been to Florida before. Can't wait :Pinkbounc I haven't asked for any specific rooms yet, hoping for an upgrade, so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

We are doing 4 nights Honeymoon Suite WL, then to Ireland and London for a week and a half!! My FI surprised me with a Passporter a couple months ago- originally it was just Europe, but I BEGGED for us to go to Disney, just for a couple nights :) Only 40 days until the BIG DAY!!!

While I'm here, any suggestions for a romantic dinner while we are there?

We just got back last week from our honeymoon and by far our favorite dinner was Narccoossee's at the GF. I heard some bad things on here about the restaurant and was kinda iffy on chancing it but it turned out to be the best dinner all week. Very romantic!!! Oh, and they give you personalized menus for your honeymoon. When we had dessert they even placed a sugar cinderella/price charming and sleeping beauty/prince on the plate for a decorated backround. It was beautiful!

If all goes according to plan we will be 10 days at the Grand Floridian main building concierge in a honeymoon turret room and then off for 14 days is Hawaii. :cloud9:

I stayed in a 4th floor GF turret room on my first honeymoon. It was so amazing! From the room, not only could you see Cinderella Castle but it had a 270º view of Bay Lake, the CR and Poly. It really is once in a lifetime experience (never to be afforded again, I'm afraid). The true highlight? Kevin Bacon was our next door neighbor!

You'll love it!

We only just got married on Sunday, in the English Lake District. We stayed at the hotel - Armathwaite hall hotel - the evening before the wedding and on the wedding night. Room was beautiful - massive bathroom with jacuzzi tub and flat screen tv. Day after the wedding went into Keswick and back to the hotel.

Unfortunately today and tomorrow back at work - but not for full days (own business so less restrictive hours!).

On Thursday, we fly to Orlando, and stay over in a Deluxe King at the Hyatt at the airport. On Friday morning we leave for Aruba, for seven nights at the Marriott Aruba Surf. We are then coming back to Orlando, and staying seven nights in a one bedroom at Saratoga Springs Resort - can't wait.

I love the idea of the perosnalized menus. I know they do this at V&A, but I didn't know you could have that done at Narcoosees? How did the Narcoosees staff know it was your honeymoon? I'll be at the GF in July 2007 for the first part of my honeymoon!

I cannot remember the name but my fiance and I ate at the restaurant in the Mexican section at Epcot. It has dim lighting and the ceiling looks like a night time sky. The building is set to look like an outdoor market and we got a table near the boat ride. It was incredibly romantic and the food was excellent so we are going back again for our honeymoon!

we stayed at the yacht club concierge for our wedding for 10 nights, it was so nice & romantic. the room theme was nice, the concierge lounge was convinient we loved the lemonade & evening salmon & soup. our rooms balcony was great & we were even lucky enough to get a gazebo view where we were married march 21st  we also liked the quiet pool & hot tub, walking around the lake, nighttime at the boardwalk, the dining options around crescent lake and the boats to mgm & epcot.

We will be spending 8 nights in a honeymoon suite at the WL. :cloud9: I am hoping to take a relaxed pace (even though this will be our first trip) and spend some time relaxing in the hotel. We don't plan on spending that much time in the room though, we have been together for 4 years and have lived together for 2 and a half, we can spend "alone" time together anytime but never get to go to Disney World.
