You are going to get multiple responses that will confuse you even more!
Basically they are all the same! (truly!) It comes down to a matter of personal preference. I can give you the highlights of all except CSR!
here's the scoop as I know it:
Theming:
POR: old south with lovely gardens and views, can be rustic in Alligator Bayou section or elegant (but not fussy) in the Mansions
CBR: tropical island feel with beaches and calypso music
POFQ: mardi gras, new orleans feel, the smallest and easiest to walk around no matter where your room is
Restaurants: all have decent food courts with lots of choices
POR: Boatwrights with a sitdown breakfast and dinner
CBR: Shutters with dinner only with Carribean style food
POFQ: sitdown restaurant has been closed, don't know if they will reopen it when they reopen, but Boatwrights would be about a 10-15 minute walk
Pools: all have beautiful pools
POFQ :doesn't have a quiet pool and my kids really enjoy the quiet pools for some reason, main pool has a dragon tongue slide
POR: main pool has a waterslide, also has sprinkler areas in the pool
CBR: has several quiet pools, has main pool like Spanish fort with water slide, water cannons were not working when I was there, Hot tub is in an odd place in the middle of the pool (but you can access it with steps: just thought it was hard to get to and find)
Entertainment: can rent water craft, bikes at all
POR: can rent cane fishing poles and fish for a half hour in the fishing hole ($4), also has Bob Jackson a wonderful piano player in the River Roost Lounge Wed-Sat. My kids loved him. (so did I).
No other additional entertainment that I can think of at CBR or POFQ
Transportation:
POR and POFQ: share buses with first stop at POFQ for pickup and drop off. Both have free boatride to downtown Disney which is like an attraction itself. Total bus stop number is 5 between the two resorts.
CBR; lots of bus stops ( I think 7) different loops of the stops, has an internal bus that makes rounds of them all and will take you to OPR
People complain alot about the buses at the moderates, but I think for the amount of people that they have to move, they do remarkably well. Park closing will be a busy time no matter where you stay!
I found housekeeping to be excellent at all of them.
I found the CM's to be very pleasant at all of them.
It really comes down to what is most important to you as far as theming.
Our personal favorite is POR and that is where we will be returning in August!
I will be happy to answer any other questions.
