Which level (floor)is best?

I was on Dect 2 (2571) never heard a peep and only one flight from Deck 3!

3 Day Cruise in Feb2004 - Deck 5 midship Port side
7 Day Cruise Thanksgiving 2004 Deck 6 midship (right at elevators) Starboard
7 Day Cruise Thanksgiving 2005 2 Staterooms (next to each other, but not adjoined) on Deck 7 Front Elevators Port side - great place! (I like port side much better as it is killer being in the sun during the firedrill) :3dglasses

We stayed on Deck 7 (Cat 6) the 1st time and Deck 6 (Cat 6) the second time. We are booked Mid- Deck 7 (Cat 6) for the Magic this May. I think Deck 6 or 7 is fine. I don't know about Deck 5 but have seen good feedback from others about it.
Our friends who stayed on Deck 8 and Deck 7 said they liked Deck 8 better ( I think it was because they had a bigger room size is why).

In our Deck 8 Suite, we were often awakened at dawn by the clamor of deck chairs being set out & tosssed about overhead.

Next trip, we're moving back to Level 6, with cabins above & below.

Wow! You couldn't be more right. We had 8550 last week (Nov 19th - 26th) and the noise was unbearable. On deck 9 above us was two ping pong tables and a foosball table; the noise went on all day long and just when the passengers went to sleep the crew started cleaning up by moving tables and chairs for what seemed an eternity.

We complained several times, realizing full well that there was nothing DCL could do, but they had to be aware of our dissatisfaction. We love DCL and the Magic, but we didn't have ONE good night of sleep. It is back to deck 7 for us. :headache:

We stayed on Decks 6 and 7 and loved them both. Once we were midship and another time right outside of the doorway to the bridge. :wave2:

another vote for deck 6, midship!

I also vote for Deck 6 midship. Next Nov we are going to be on Deck 7 so that might change since that is also midship.

IMO any deck you get on the ship is a good one! :goodvibes

We usually do Deck 2 with outside deluxe ~ lots of light, good space and with no little ones with us (nap times) we don't spend alot of time in the room.

Not if you like a good night's sleep! There are definately better decks and cabins for people that can't sleep through noise.

Guess I've been lucky then.

My apartment neighbor has a young child you likes to kick the wall every night until around 11:45 so I guess I'm use to not getting a good nights sleep. I figure the time I'm on the ship I at least won't be hearing that.
