Hello all,

I am dealing with more indecisiveness. I know I recently posted about if I should or shouldn't do a split stay. I got a lot of helpful information and tips and thank you! I have been looking into DVC rentals, so now I have another issue to decide. I know I am 100% going to do a split stay. I thought about Saratoga Springs for the full 7 nights, but it just doesn't excite me being that far from the parks for our whole trip. After researching, I have fallen in love with the Boardwalk area. I can't seem to find DVC point rentals in my price range that I want to stay in for our whole trip or majority of the trip. Here are the options and the price difference compared to my current week booked at Pop for 10/24-10/31.

Pop 10/24-10/28 and YC Garden View 10/28-10/31: $531 more
Pop 10/24-10/28 and BC Standard Studio Villa 10/28-10/31: $502 more
YC 10/24-10/25 and AKL-Jambo House VA Studio 10/25-10/31: $408 more

From what I have read about at AKL it doesn't seem like we would have too many food options right now and that is kind of a big deal and I like having some of the parks in walking distance, especially HS, but it would be nice to spend our whole trip in 2 deluxe hotels, and only move in the very beginning of our trip. Though I do like the idea of being near the boardwalk longer and taking advantage of that. I am so torn and need advice.

The price difference doesn't strike me as vastly different. Personally, I'd go with what I would like to experience more or park plan. It would seem more exciting, to me, to go from the Pop or anything else, and end in the YC/BC area.

Yeah, Animal is in the middle of nowhere. Will you not have a car?

That is what I am thinking, just not sure what people would consider a better option YC or a studio villa at BC

no car. We will be flying in from California

we like YC, but also like the idea of having a sitting area (couch) and kitchenette. We will be having a grocery delivery to pop and packing that up to transfer with us. most of it will be snacks and then maybe some tea and what not to make.

If it’s just two,of you, I’d go with the BCV studio. The couch gives you more floor space and a place to sit comfortably to read, watch TV , etc.,, and the kitchenette is more functional even just for snacks and drinks. Not to mention you’d have a real coffee pot for heating the water for tea.
BTW is this for this month or for 2021? If for this year, are all these DVC rentals actually available, or did you simply calculate the cost based on a rental agency’s price chart?

We could care less about AKL's location, it is by far the most unique resort and if you have never stayed there I would always recommend staying there once.
Not sure if you looked into it, but the walk to HS once you get to the walking path is 1.2 miles, in case anyone has any walking issues.

It is for this month. It is available. These are all options we have found available through Disney themselves.

I'd choose the POP-BC option. I really like having the refrigerator and couch in the room.

Thank you all. I priced out the swan and Dolphin and it would be a little bit more (not much) for our whole trip. My boyfriend likes the idea of the studio villa so thinking we will go with the Pop and BC option

To me it comes down to these two:

Pop 10/24-10/28 and BC Standard Studio Villa 10/28-10/31: $502 more
YC 10/24-10/25 and AKL-Jambo House VA Studio 10/25-10/31: $408 more

But the room for YC seems small
and Animal is far and a long duration stay.

Pop gives you access to the Sky Gondola which is really convenient and fun
and then BC is bigger room plus great location

What you see on the Disney website is not what will be available renting DVC points. There are two different groups of inventory. If you see it on the Disney website, that is the price you will pay through Disney.

Yes I know. All of this is through Disney like I said. We looked into renting and only found one option (since it was so last minute) we were maybe considering but ruled it out.

The rooms in Swan and Dolphin are quite small so the Beach club studio seems better

Boardwalk area is the best! Have stayed at AKL in the past and did not enjoy it at all. Any of the Boardwalk resorts are awesome.

Do research on the room sizes of the Swan and Dolphin - I think they are fine for two people. We are staying at the Dolphin next month and have stayed there a few times - it is a 2-minute walk from the Boardwalk. Still can walk to DS and Epcot - or you can take the boat. Check out their prices.

What about the Sky Gondola's?
Skyliner stations are at International Gateway and Hollywood Studios so you have to walk to them from Boardwalk resorts. Pop station is on the bridge between Pop & AoA connects to Caribbean Beach Station where you transfer to either HS or Epcot line
