When you go to WDW what is your favorite grocery store to visit? Winn Dixie, Publix or Goodings?? Where and why???

Well, mine used to be Publx. But since the new Super Target and Sams Club opened up, they are an unbeatable pair. We got to Sams first, fill up on their lower priced gas, look around the store and pick up some groceries and then we go down to Super Target and finish up our shopping. Target has a great selection of vegetables and frozen foods and bakery stuff and their prices are pretty good too. And if we need some non-grocery items (like hats and gloves last Dec for example) we can pick that up there too.

We have used Winn-Dixie lately, I thought their prices were pretty good especially with the shopper card. Goodings is outrageous.

Well, many times in the past I have gone to Goodings. I think they used to be the most easy to get to. This was before Winn Dixie and Publix were close by in the neighborhood, or at least before I knew where they were. I have always been very happy with Goodings. Mostly we just pick up the basics, milk, bread, fuit, etc.

On our next trip this summer, I am planning to give Winn Dixie a try. I have heard very good things regarding their prices and service. I have signed up online for their customer card, so that I will already have that.

We usually go to Publix. I have no idea why...I guess it's because it's the first one we found when we were 1st DVCers. I have been to the Winn-Dixie once too. Goodings is too expensive.

Publix. I shop at Publix at home (Atlanta area) and at Hilton Head, too.

I just like the store -- always clean and bright. Some others look kind of dingy. Prices are good, selection is good.

I guess there's something to be said about being familiar with the store, I guess...

We used to shop at Albertsons but now we wont go anywhere but Publix.I love the deli section,They have a fresh bakery and a very large organic/natural foods section.I like the fresh fish and they have good cuts of meat. The prices for the meats are high but you will save it on other items. We go to the Publix off rt 27.There is another a little closer on rt 192 but we like the staff at the other. They always seem to go the extra mile for you. They will also pack your bags and bring them to the car for you. They also have a pharmacy if needed.I can't shop at walmarts they are just a little to against unions and paying there workers a fair salary.

We shop at Albertson's on Orange Blossom Trail. I shop at Albertson's at home and I like the familiarity. It is convenient to stop at when we fly in.

We prefer wegoshop.com. It saves us a lot of time over going to the grocery store (and they go to the one you want). For the $15.00 it costs, we have started to let them go for us.

thanks for the tip about the winn dixie card. We always shop there too. We tried Super wal-mart but it was so far away, and check out took so long. When we are on vacation time is money for us and waiting in those lines was not high on my list of re-dos.

thanks, happy birthday cat, for the tip about www.wegoshop.com! the service sounds awesome. and they will even buy alchohol, tobacco, and lottery tickets for you! how cool. i hate going to an unfamiliar store. and $15 is well worth not having to drive out, hunt around, drive to package store, drive back, park, lug the stuff in...not to mention doing all that with kids in tow. i wish they had a service in my home town.

Publix out near International Drive - better variety, nice produce and meat areas. Clean and neat store. I'm in the supermarket business and I'm very fussy. The Publix stores are on par with my stores here.

I tried Winn-Dixie with the card - the selection is poor, the produce was poor. Not a really good store - it's OK in a pinch, but I wouldn't go there to do the primary shopping.

Goodings is a price gouger. Or at least they have been both times I was there. And the produce was lousy.

We like the new Winn-Dixie store or the Publix whichever we're close to at the time. The Winn-Dixie is convenient on our way back from church and we've been pleased with the selection. It's on Vineland road.

We shop at Publix. Biased because we both worked there for years. We end up at the one in Oviedo because we always visit our friends there the first day down and stop at the store b/c it's right around the corner.

We shop at Publix, but I'll be checking out the Super Target when we're down there in April.

Hey Muushka, Where's the Sam's Club?

Mrs. PB

On our last visit we arrived at Publix just as they closed. Fortunately, a kind person directed us to Albertson's. It was very clean, well organized and open late. The roasted chicken made a very good meal the next day.

Winn Dixie works for us. Close to SSR, got the card on-line, and it's not as $$$ as Goodings. Since we're not buying eggplants or sushi, it meets our needs. ;)

We are Winn DIxie fans here.... but I just read today they filed for bankrupcy or something like that... I hope they are able to stick around.

I haven't heard anything about that! I'm going to have to check in to that. I shop at Winn Dixie here at home sometimes. But when we were down at the World, the first of the month, we shopped at the new Super Target. I love that store. I think we were there 3 times.

The girls loved the "Disney" section, and then we got groceries, and some other odd and end things we needed. A night later we returned to purchase pillows because the pillows at SSR were killing us. We usually bring our own, but we were trying to conserve space! Never again!
