Need help deciding which floor to request for our stay in Nov at the Poly CL. Any input would be appreciated. What advantages and disadvantages are there for each floor. Which has best views? Its just me and my DH whos an animal lover.

This will probably get moved to the Resorts forum since you're asking about a resort and not about a code or discount rate. But, to answer your question:

In the Hawaii (non-suite CL) longhouse, the first floor has a patio, the second floor does not have a balcony and the third floor does have a balcony.

There are three bookable views:

Garden View: No matter what floor you're on, you'll will have a view of the quiet pool and/or trees/foliage.

Lagoon View: You will be on the Seven Seas Lagoon side of the bldg. facing the lagoon/beach/CR.

Theme Park View: You will be on the lagoon side AND you will have a view of the Castle/MK.

There are some CL room view photos on the Poly Photos thread in the Resorts forum and on the Poly FAQ/Information thread also in the Resorts forum.

Good luck!

I've had 2d and 3d and been happy with both, but 3d floor wins out for the balcony :thumbsup2
I'd love to have the patio on the first floor, too.

We've been fortunate to try all three floors. Our favorite is the first floor because our girls loved the patio and being able run outside to the sandy area to play and hang out. DH loves it because the patio made the room feel so much bigger. The biggest advantage to the third floor is the view if you request theme park view. The elevation helps at night with viewing Wishes but we usually just walked down to sunset point from our first floor room and watched from there. If you do decide first floor, request a room as far from the lounge as possible to avoid crowd noise. Personally, I'd avoid the second floor- I see no big advantage there except being able to walk directly into the lounge without dealing with stairs.

We had a 2nd floor(no balcony) I would def do 3rd floor.....I would have loved to have a balcony!!! The view was wonderful!
