Which Epcot ride would you remove to bring back an updated version of the original?

I would do that for most of Epcot’s attractions. Give me back World of Motion, Horizons, original Imagination, the Cronkite version of SSE, the original Living Seas, original Soarin’, Maelstrom, all day showings of Impressions de France (no sing along please), original Canadian movie, original Universe of Energy (before Ellen), and the original Communicore shops, restaurants, and exhibits. To cap it off, put back the Lights of Winter for the holiday season. Or just put me in a Time Machine and send me back to Epcot right after Horizons opened, and we’ll call it even.

I'd really like the original Journey into Imagination back. And I'd prefer Horizons and World of Motion to the new(er) stuff in their places. I'd love to have the Wonders of Life pavilion back as it was, as well - I loved Cranium Command and The Making of Me (and an occasional Body Wars... that one was a little intense at times!).

Actually, that's a good point - I'd just not get rid of anything and take Wonders of Life back. Come on - use the space for something!

One that hasn't been mentioned so far, and not a ride--a restaurant, Tangierine Cafe. It used to be so good--the shwarma platter was my favorite CS in WDW. Now it's a hard pass.

My first thought was Frozen Ever After back to an updated Maelstrom.

Then, several of you mentioned Mission Space 🤢 back to Horizons.

Now, I'm torn!!

I also vote for bringing Wonders of Life back. I really enjoyed Cranium Command.

You mean there was Figment ride that was even more dated than that thing they have in there now? The current version looks like something from the 1980s.
It was DDs favorite ride. There were two floors with interactive "stuff" after the ride.

ALL OF THEM :cool1:

But seriously, a vast majority were better in their original iterations IMO. I can understand liking Guardians of the Galaxy better than Universe of Energy, even if it doesn't fit the theme of EPCOT really. Test Track is a unique case...I do prefer 2.0 to 1.0 as it feels more EPCOT futurism than 1.0....we'll see how 3.0 goes

After my joke post, I was thinking about this thread again and I ultimately vote for Spaceship Earth. I only remember riding the Jeremy Irons version back in 2004, but his narration for the ride is WAAAAY better than the current version. Not only in the actual narration but the fact that the descent has things to actually....look at? Also the music in the descent is kind of haunting in a good way, if that makes sense?

Also yes I know the Jeremy Irons version is not the original version of Spaceship Earth, but just let me have this okay? lol

Yes, though I can't choose a favorite between the Walter Cronkite and Jeremy Irons versions, they're both really great in different ways.

There's been 4 narrators overall. The original narrator Vic Perrin's was pretty bland, so I would take Judi Dench's over that one even if the script is a bit corny.
