Which dates would you choose?

So... y'know, I was getting so excited. Our plan was to go back next June, leaving early June, I was so excited because we were finally at the 1 year mark :) And today DH found out that their school year has changed for next year, and he goes later than they were supposed to. So, we'll have to change our dates. So, our new options are:

June 19-30
July 27 - Aug 7
Aug 7-18

or, possibly, Aug 20-31

Now, I know crowd-wise August 20-31 would definitely be better than the other two options. But will the weather be that much worse? What would be your top two picks for dates based on crowds and weather? (And no, no other time of year is possible :P )

Weather will be brutal for all of your dates. I suspect you'll see the lightest crowds for the late August span.

Heat and rain are pretty much the same throughout all of those choices so I'd do August 20-31 as that time has typically been less crowded than your other options.

I also think I'd pick end of August. I conquer with weather being pretty similar throughout and the lesser crowds in August would be the deciding factor for me.

Yep the weather will be bad on all of those dates. Go with late August. We go every year that time and the crowds really do start letting up. Even over the week or ten days we notice it getting lighter each day.

I've been in both June (mid-June) twice and August (mid August). August was much more humid and hot. I will not go again in August. I would pick the June dates, and if you can, go a little earlier. It is less crowded then and possibly a little cooler.

Late August by far. Less crowds, none of those huge singing tour groups with the flags, and we find it seems to rain less than it does earlier in the summer. Seasonal pricing is cheaper then, too.

I agree. I have gone at all those times, and end of August will be hot, hot, not, but a little less crowded as many kids are back in school.

Go with the end of August since most schools will be back in session!

Here's the thing, June is hot. July is hot. August is hot. August can feel worse, but it's not by much. Typically August and September are considered the highest risk of storms during hurricane season, but that really doesn't mean anything. Seriously.

Hurricane season is from June 1st - Nov 30th. Storms make humid weather. There's been storms in June, there's been times in June where it has rained every day all day..2009 was the worst. There's been times in July and August where the same has happened if a storm system is nearby.
And there's been hurricanes in October when "the risk is low".

So the only thing to consider with June, July, August is crowds. Because the weather is completely unpredictable!!

I am an off-season vacationer, so I would also say August,- the water is free in the parks and you can bring one of those fans that goes around your neck...because the crowds are smaller. Way smaller the last week!

I have been in June and it was hot and rained every day. I would say opt for the smaller crowds at the end of August

I agree with the rest. We'll already be back in school by your late August dates, I would go then.

That's the absolute earliest we can go. That would be with us literally leaving the day after classes let out.

Seems pretty unanimous for end of August. My only concern is - what if they change class dates last minute again (seeing as how they just changed the 2016-2017 calendar on June 7th :( ). If we book for that week of August and then all of a sudden 2 months out, we get handed a new calendar... oie.

*sigh* And now our trip is almost 15 months away instead of on the less than a year countdown, lol.

I say whatever is the cheapest option for those dates.

I've been during late July and just make sure you have a water bottle/canteen you can refill, plus a cloth that you can soak in cold water (to put on your head/neck) ... you can handle it! Oh, and tons of sunblock.

That is why would say your end of July dates. It will be more crowded but with a good plan and understanding that there will be a ton of people there, it will be doable. We are taking our no-kids trip this year over the 4th of July because it was the safest time for us to go with DH's schedule and my mom's. I've actually been able to get every ADR we wanted and FP+s at the 30 day mark with no issues. By far my easiest trip to plan for.
