Which Attraction Represents 'Disney' to You?

Technicaly speaking, I feel that Mickey's Philharmagic 'encompasses' plenty of Disney due to the vast array of characters/excerpts from various Disney productions.

The attractions that represent 'WDW' to me are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates Of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.

Let's not forget the Monorail...it's a classic representation of WDW...just my opinion...:goodvibes

Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Carousel of Progress, TTA

For me it's a toss up between a lot but I must say that the two I can narrow it down to are Splash Mountain and Spaceship Earth. Both are great attractions and have been around for a long time. Each has it's own feeling but they are both great disney feelings.

Main street USA,we sing the song Yupie-do-dah everytime. When my DS was young,he had this Disney sing-a-long video and we would sit in the livingroom singing this song all the time so we can never get away with out singing it going down Main street USA. I can say any of the rides mentioned really, they all have a place in my hart for one reason or the other,But to add the train ride around the park brings back memories with my parents and my DS.

I'd have to say PotC or Space Mountain. I don't think I ever went into MK and didn't go on each of them.

I also like the Wedway People Mover, when my cousin was young he thought it was a People Remover because he could see people getting on it but not getting off it. :rotfl2:

Definitely Dumbo. It's always the first and last thing we ride.

I'll be there next Thursday -- enjoying Thanksgiving in a pink Dumbo!

for me it is different...it isnt a ride...it is the initial walk under the railroad station where all the posters of the rides are reminds me of when i was kid and had to look at every one of them and insist on going on everything.

and then when the park is closing and jiminy cricket is on the loud speaker saying goodnight, that is when i get all teary eyed because i know that i just had the 1st of my magical days on my stay at walt disney world...hearing jiminy cricket say goodnight to you is when i know i am really in disney world!!!

but to answer the question of an attraction, i would need to say carousel of progress since that ride has more of walt disney himself than any of them...

The fireworks show over Cinderella's Castle when the music seems to seep out of the park itself and Tink glides down from the top window while surrounded by thousands of people from all walks of life and countries.:cool1:

Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, ToT

Also walking down Main Street and seeing the castle :cloud9: That always does it for me.

First off is Main St, Train Whistle (about 1/2 the time the train is nearby) and the Castle. That could be either DL or WDW. Must do ride is POTC for us when no grandchildren, Carousel and Dumbo with the kids.

What say's Disney to our family is Main Street U.S.A (Us standing in the middle of the street taking the FIRST PhotoPass picture -backs to Cinderella's Castle) All smiling and full of Happiness,Joy,and Anticipation!!!:goodvibes Peter Pans Flight,Dumbo,Splash Mountain etc... What really gets me all choked-up is SpectroMagic-That music plays and stays in my heart whether we're at Disney or not;but when we're there,it really makes me very thankful that we are able to bring our children on such a great vacation!

Dumbo and Splash Mountain! It all seemed so surreal on my first trip seeing the castle and then when I saw an elephant fly and a certain rabbit in a brier patch I knew I was definitely in Disney:rotfl:

It's a Small World, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, TTA, Carousel of Progress, Country Bear Jamboree......

If I had to choose one, it would be Haunted Mansion. Walking up to the old house, seeing all the CMs dressed all creepy, reading all the inscriptions on the gravestones out loud, the elevator, and finally the ride! I am IN Disney World then.

But close runners up would have to be Pirates of the Caribbean (usually among the first rides of the day) and Splash Mountain. That damp, misty smell in those lines just IS Disney World to me.

Peter Pan! The first ride I ever remember riding at WDW. Other than that probably the Haunted Mansion or Cinderella's Carousel. The carousel always makes me think of my dad. When I was little he and I used to ride it together.

peter pan's flight
everytime I think of "you can fly" and get the warm and fuzzies
