Which Attraction Represents 'Disney' to You?

The circumstance: A 17 year old who was treated to the Magic Kingdom against his will by his best friend's grandparents back in 1974 and would have rather been playing golf that day. Grumble, grumble…

The expectation: The Haunted Mansion was either just another of those ridiculous county fair type spook houses, or one of the try-to-frighten-you by jumping out at you and yelling type of events that pop up near Halloween

The result: A wonderful exchange of an E-ticket that caught the young man's imagination and caused the MK to forever hold a special place in his heart

For me, it's the Haunted Mansion.

Splash Mountain, Philharmagic, Great Movie Ride

You realize, of course, that almost all rides/attractions mentioned are in MK!!!! That was the first park, and therefore, a classic.I'd go with Space Maountain in MK, ToT in DHS, The Tree in AK, and SE in EPCOT.

It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean of the rides that are still there.

The one ride that represents Disney the most to me though is the old Dreamfinder and Figment ride. I am still not sure what Disney thought of when they got rid of it. I don't think anything describes Disney how Walt saw it any better.

For me it would be Splash Mountain or Haunted Mansion, the theming is just such a big part of Disney to me and these are two rides that do it really well.

Pirates of the Caribbean, Carrousel of Progress, and Splash Mountain.

I can't say 1 specific ride...but just entering the MK & walking up Main St towards the castle-seeing it with your eyes just tells you you're there!!!

So true. That feeling is fantastic, you feel like your 6 again...lol :thumbsup2

Mine is Haunted Mansion. I can still remember riding it with my dad when I was little and now I ride it with my children.

I feel like I've finally made it when we walk down Main Street, USA, and see the castle and Walt's statue with Mickey. We always head straight for Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean or Peter Pan :yay:

Walking up to the castle...

And Fantasmic!! (SHOCK I know, considering my user name...)

Not really an attraction but Main Street is when it usually hits us that "yeah, we are at Disney"

We all love the Carousel of Progress.......the kids and I love the Teacups, we could spin ourselves silly!!!! (Hubby always watches, cant handle them):rotfl2:

You guys will think I'm nuts but I LOVE the tram from the parking lot!!!:lmao: I know, it's not a ride but I know that once I hop on that tram, I'm going straight to the MAGIC KINGDOM!!!! But I suppose once I'm inside I can't imagine not riding The Mad Tea Party, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Carribean. Those are favorites from my childhood.:goodvibes

For me, it's just seeing Cinderella Castle.

Maybe Space Mountain, Mickey's PhilharMagic, or Peter Pan.. but truly, just being on Main Street makes me tear up. :goodvibes

I love this Question.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Mine is walking up main street staring at the Cindy's Castle. I get a little teary and I grab my husband's hand and he always smiles. And just being at the Magic Kingdom tells me I am at the most magical place on earth.

Small World, Peter Pan, Snow White, Carousel of Progress, Haunted Mansion

and the Monorail--I have never been to MK without arriving on the monorail--any other way would take away from the magic for me
