we did stay at the wilderness lodge for our 25th anniversary. we just liked the feel of the lodge and of course the themeing. it is very laid back and seeming all to itself, away from everything. we were lucky enough to have a woods view on the MK side and could see the fireworks at night, as well as hearing them! we went during december so it was decorated beautifully for christmas.:p

We went last year for our 10th Ann. Since we went w/o the kids, we thought we'd try to GF. We split b/w GF and Dolphin. GF just isn't for us. It's beautiful, but we thought it was too stuffy and too many weddings.

If I were to do it again, I'd take Polynesian, WL or Dolphin. For us, the Polynesian and WL is quietly romantic with their wonderful themeing and views of MK and Electrical Water Parade. Dolphin is beautiful and we'll never get over the awesome views from bed as we watched Illuminations. Plus, the walk to Epcot and around the Boardwalk is very romantic. We also enjoyed the nightlife of the BW. To us, it's a perfect blend to stay at a MK resort and an Epcot resort.

The Grand Floridian! Some people do feel it is too stuffy, but I actually find it to be comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are great, and the grounds are beautiful. The service is also excellent. Everytime you come in contact with a CM they always say "have a grand day!" - a little touch that I like! Plus, they have some rooms with great views of Cinderella's Castle!

Anyways, the GF is my favorite. In my opinion, it is the best that Disney has to offer. :)

Polynesian
-Its my favorite resort
-Its where we stayed on our honeymoon
-IMO, it is very romantic there
-We love the Kona Cafe and would definitely be eating there
-Monorail access is just another bonus.

We stayed at the WL for our 10th anniverary back in Nov '94. We choose that because the theming appealed to us. I would once again choose a resort based on theming. So, choose what interests you.

Actually, we chose a one bedroom at Old Key West for
our 25th anniversary, because we wanted the room
with the whirlpool. However, if I had to choose from
the resorts you listed, I'd go with Wilderness Lodge.
It is wonderful!

When my husband and I went to WDW without our kids in January, we picked the AKL because we thought we would like the theme and location best. It was quiet and we loved seeing the animals. I loved the food there and the room was lovely.

We are from the northwest and the WL is not as unusual for us. When I travel I like things different from what I see at home.
My husband would like to try the GF next.

I thought the boardwalk area seemed more family oriented. If I had my kids that would be the choice, but if were alone I like a more quiet place to stay.

Well, it would really depend on what we were planning to do during our aniversary.

Since our aniversary is in October, if we were going to concentrate on the Wine and Food Festival, I would pick one of the Epcot resorts. I have personally always wanted to stay at the Beach Club.

If I were going to spend a lot of time at the resort itself, but wanted convenient access to the parks and the feel of basking in luxury, I would choose the Grand Floridian... I could use one of those spa treatments right about now.;)

If I wanted both romance and convenience, then the Poly, of course!

If I were going to stay at the resort, and didn't care about going to the parks or convenience, then I would stay at AKL.

If I wanted nice atmosphere, but was on a budget, then PO-R would be the place.

We are going around our aniversary this year... we opted for the more economical route, so we will be staying at PO-FQ... I know, not on your list, but worth considering!

Evaluate what you will be doing, how much you wish to spend, and you will have you answer!

Good luck, and congratulations:)
