in april I am having a birthday that is a big number. don't wanna talk about it. shhh. don't get me wrong, I'd rather be this number than not be it...the other option isn't pretty, lol, but still, don't wanna talk about it. anyway, dh asked me if I want a big party for it. I'd rather spend the money and go away for a long weekend and be pampered. thinking someplace warm, maybe an island (I really would like to go to england but the money isn't there this spring). I've never been to an island like this before. we're on the east coast, so someplace on this end of things would be ideal. any suggestions??? where would you go if money WAS an object, but you still wanted to go somewhere nice? what if money wasn't but you still only had a long weekend (okay, I'm going to fantasize with the money-isn't-an-object a bit, too. hehehe).

Someplace warm! I am turning 30 in a couple of weeks, my plan was to be on a beach someplace warm and sunny.... However money is an object at the moment so those plans are on hold untill I pay off our bills and next disney trip in October.

My money no object vote is St. Lucia! I loved the time I spent there with Dh. We went horse back riding on the beach and it was wonderful. I would love to spend more time exploring the island! (I might have loved the horseback riding a bit more that Dh, the things they do for us.)

Money is no object (you know you are worth it!)
Adults only - the entire island

I have seen it featured on the Travel Channel many times. It is on my list of places to visit.

Go to www.cheapcaribbean.com and see what they have available. We went to an all inclusive 5* place in the Dominican Republic last July with our kids. For 5 nights, it came to around $800 per person with all the taxes, etc. It included travel insurance and R/T land transportation.

It was a lovely vacation and this is a reputable company.

Have a very happy birthday!

Well I'd go back to here

It's an adults only all inclusive in Riviera Maya *near Cancun* and then I'd have a romantic dinner on the beach for your birthday! They do it right there AND everything is included including 5 different restaurants and all liquor including top shelf! Very romantic resort and warm!
