Where is the best place to view Epcot fireworks? Eating dinner before or while the fireworks are starting would be fine or where to stand would be great also, I thought I've heard of a Mexican spot with a patio any suggestions would be appreciated.

The best place I have found is the Japanese restaurant Tokyo Dining. Great food and a second story balcony that is not crowded. It puts you over the crowd. You don't have to eat there to use it either.

There are so many places to view IllumiNations at Epcot's World Showcase
that are wonderful in their own way that its futile to try to list them... so I will. ;)

• Bridge between UK and France
• Near the twin gift shops at the entrance to WS from FW
• Norway area
• Upper level (outside front terrace) of the Matsu No Ma Lounge in Japan
• Italy, near the Gondolas
• Mexico, at the new Cantina
• Mexico, bridge to the right of the Cantina (as you face the lagoon.)
• UK, the Rose & Crown outdoor dining area (ressies required.)
• UK, just to the left of the Rose & Crown (as you face the lagoon.)
• Many, many more great spots.

Be sure to avoid any tree branches that block your overhead view,
and watch out for any "islands" in the water
that block your view of the "center" of the lagoon.

Best Tip:
Don't stand down-wind of the fireworks.
Their SMOKE will ruin the show.

So, If the wind is blowing into your face as you look towards the Lagoon, you are in the wrong spot.
;)

Our favorite spot is to hop up on the fountain in Italy. Easy place to rest a beverage and a great view.

Can you watch from inside La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico while dining? I thought I had read that somewhere. We have ADR at 8:15pm with the intention of being able to see Illuminations. Is this correct or am I mistaken?

What is the view like outside the park at The Boardwalk or in the Boardwalk Inn. Is there any spots for partial viewing of the show or other suggestions?

Except for some of the higher-flying fireworks, most of the show can't really be seen outside of World Showcase.

This is the BEST advice. So many good places so you don't have to worry, but don't stand downwind.

We found sitting at the Japanese pavilion in front of the gate a good viewing spot as nobody can get in front of you and you get a good vantage point.

I have watched Illuminations from there and I was satisfied.

Standing near torch #10, in front of Japan, gives you a good view, and it's a spot that does not fill up early.

With apologies to Bock and Harnik...

Sing along with me, to the tune of "Matchmaker"...

Mapmaker, mapmaker, make me a map!
Where can I go to take a nap?
Mapmaker, mapmaker show me the view,
You know how I count on you!

Mapmaker, mapmaker, show me a sign,
Where can I find the shortest line?
How can I get from Soarin’ to France
While wearing my tightest pants?

For DH, show us the Biergarten,
DS wants to find a toy store.
DD just wants some candy,
And I want someplace with a lion’s roar!

Mapmaker, mapmaker, show me today
You know I’m slow – the shortest way –
Please Mr Robo now show me the map,
And make it real big
With lots of notes
Fully complete,
And mark all the boats,
And make it a perfect maaaaaaaaap!

Have your step-dad strike up a conversation with a random passing-by CM and get selected to watch it from the boat ramp with the production crew! Ok so that was just us but a perfect way to end our trip none the less :cool1:

You can but it depebds were you are seated. If you are in a window seat it's great, but they don't guarantee it. The best spot is were fp is now. The show was design to be watched at that spot.

I've seen Illuminations lots and lots of times and at various different times of year since it's my favorite Disney show. What we do is have a meal whenever we want and then, about thirty minutes before the show begins, we go back to the back of the park around Germany, grab a spot, and then enjoy. Since the view is at the back of the park, many won't want that since they are trying to escape immediately after the show. That's why we can get a spot shortly before the show, enjoy ourselves and then slowly walk around to the front, take a bathroom break, ease on out to the buses or our vehicle and get out safely. The longest we had to wait for a Disney bus was 10 minutes after we exited.

THIS! On our last trip we were eating at The Biergarten. We exited around 8:45 and there was space everywhere!
