Marathon Weekend 2026

You reminded me to get my tickets and DANG did they increase prices. Finally getting priced out of WDW tickets for a DINK household, $550 for 2x 1-day with Park Hopper, it's $900 for 2 days! Not sure how families are doing this routinely :(
You can buy an annual pass for roughly the same amount :)

I actually looked at an annual pass, and even with getting a 6-day ticket for MW, and then a couple more days for PW, I was still saving several hundred dollars by NOT getting an AP. There are no other disney trips on my radar for 2026, so I couldn't use potential future savings as a justification.

I did the same math, this is our only trip this year. Last year I think I would've broken even with hotel discounts.

Going to save my annual pass $$ for the year I decide to do every rD race. Luckily the Canadian resident discounts have been pretty good the last 2 MW. I got a 4 day discounted PH for less than a 3 days 1 park per day ticket at regular price.

AP math is best done for park hopping (which is all my family wants to do) but TLDR: If I am spending $861.92 for 6 days of park time, I’m staying open to close. But somehow, having an annual pass completely removes my anxiety and I no longer worry about it (which is why I honestly have an AP)

Incredipass after tax: $1734.89
6-day PH: 861.92
Assumption for princess 3-day PH: 648.54

Based on two trips, you are left with $224.43 difference to break even. I have saved up to $150 with price bridging, discount gift cards etc but that’s a can of worms I won’t bore with here… so your looking at $74.43 to be a pass holder. Also before any hotel, merch, food or parking discounts / perks.

Editing to add: if you don’t park hop, the math is totally different, and probably makes sense not to upgrade. But if you’re a park hopping person (hi it’s me lol) then it’s much easier to break even.

SAFD: Finish and have fun. My middle son will be completing his first half and my oldest his second marathon, although he did just run 31 miles for fun a few weeks ago 🙄. Despite being much faster than me now, he still wants to run with me and ride Everest. I could potentially set a PW (personal worst) which is fine with me.

We are also moving resorts that day and have a reservation at 4:30 at Beak and Barrel. So plan is to try to get into the VQ right away that morning, pack up our bags, and head over to the expo to check in. Then hopefully around noonish we can at least get into the merch building, then head to our new resort and drop our bags if the room is not ready, and then head to MK.
goodness, I’m tired just reading this post!

I’m getting the DVC annual pass with my points. We have a family trip in July and we can make the DVC tickets work for my family. Cost wise, it was about the same before the DVC ticket info came out, so it would be a little cheaper to go with the tickets, but the out of pocket cash needed is so much less it makes sense for me to get the AP on points. I’ve run these numbers WAY too many times. 😂

My dream is a start temp in the 50s for each race. 40s was too cold for MW/Princess this year. I love running in the 40s but turns out I do not like standing around in the 40s for 2 hours before starting to run. 60s would be too warm. And if anything starts in the 70s, well you might as well get the ambulance ready at the finish line for me

For APs, you gotta do that math on the sweet, sweet renewal price. 15% off such a great discount, and $99 for photopass is amazing with all the race photos. Not sure that I am saving anything with how many more trips I take, though.
